**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

What I like most about Redis Cloud is its speed and reliability. It makes caching and real-time data processing extremely fast, and the managed infrastructure removes the hassle of handling scaling, backups, and failover manually.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

The biggest downside of Redis Cloud is the cost as you scale up. The managed service is convenient, but pricing can rise quickly as memory usage increases. I’d also like to see more flexible configuration options, along with stronger monitoring capabilities.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redis Cloud helps address performance bottlenecks in applications that need fast access to frequently requested data. By caching responses and session data in Redis, we can reduce database calls and improve response times, making the application faster and more scalable overall.

**Reviewed by:** Prashant M. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Redis is one of the go to unstructured databases used as a caching tool to optimise your application's performance.
It stores your data in RAM for Faster read and write operations.
Redis Enterprise has multiple features for faster data Accessibility, Security, Performance and Loss of Data Security (Data Durability).
Features like active-active and active-passive replication ensure that data is always avalilabe in case of faliure.
Rules are easily configuralble to ensure unwanted data deletion, to take timely data dump in case of machine faliure.
Usig Redis to cache static data for your application can take off load from your database and make your application feel much faster

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Redis prioritise performance over durability, it requireses a lot of ram and its data snapshot mechanism is not that much duralble like other databases.
It also cannot build complex data relationships as it uses key value pair to store data.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redis Helping to take load off of the main database, Hence incresing the performance of my application drastically.

  ### 4. Best in class integration experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit R. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Having used a self-hosted Redis server in a different role. We had to invest a significant amount of time and resources in maintaining those clusters, making sure they are running and performing all the time. With Redis Enterprise, we really like the Redis-as-a-Service offering. The services integrate with existing code very smoothly. It saves a lot of resources given that most of the heavy lifting is done by Redis itself.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

We have been in love with this product. For a small team like ours, we don't have the bandwidth to pick more and more things to maintain. Although the pros overweighs the cons. But one thing we don't like is, it is expensive.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small team with only 3 members. We don't generally have the bandwidth to take up more work. With Redis Enterprise and Redis-as-a-Service, we don't have to manage and maintain clusters. This saves us a lot of work. Redis Key-Value store is very reliable and fast. The feature at Redis helps with data backup with checkpoints so we don't lose data. Integration is very simple and quick.

  ### 5. So far so good

**Reviewed by:** Maryna K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

I like that we don`t need to take care about the infrastracture. Automatic clustering and failover is a nice feature.
Also we like the out of a box integration with Kafka.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Sometimes it`s harder for developers and devops to support redis enterprise due to learning curve, as open-source redis has less functionality.
Maybe it would be nice to have more than 3 cloud providers, like DigitalOcean.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a high availability in our business, so this is where RE helps us.
Also it`s easy to recover data in case smth went in a wrong diredtion. As I know we use snapshots a lot.
Redis is popular itself, so it`s not a problem to find the right human resources to support and manage it.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Esteban Ignacio M. | Principal SRE, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Redis is an extremely easy yet useful db to use. It solves many different use cases, with a special focus on speed.
Moreover, with the addition of different modules, like searching or streams, it seems the db has adopted many other use cases. Considering the excellent balance that Salvatore Sanfilippo has between performance and simplicity, I have no doubt that these new modules definitively challenge existing solutions like elastic search or kafka.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

The main issue you might find is the cost of its speed. Every data must be kept in memory, which is more expensive than disk. However, you should notice that Redislabs (the main redis provider for enterprise use cases) offers a "redis on flash" solution that tackles this issue quite well.

**Recommendations to others considering Redis Cloud:**

Redis is so fast that you may get used to the idea that abusing the db by making too much queries is a normal thing. Beware of that.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Caching, having a user base, session store, indexing data.

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

We worked with redislabs for more than 4 years. They helped us to survive to 25 million users per day in our app.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Perhaps sometimes we struggle in the solution of the problem, but it's a very cutting edge technology and it's understandable.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use redis cloud as our main database. We don't need

  ### 36. Easy Integration for Mobile applications

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

We use redis cloud with Heroku. It is really easy to setup, and very affordable.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

The administration interface is somewhat basic and limited in functionality. Also could use a better cli tool for managing the store.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

caching data with our Rails app.

  ### 38. Best in class in memory data store

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Many problems are addressed by Redis. Few of them are Session cache, Redis can be used as a middle layer.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Not easy to use.
There will be only one Master with multiple slaves for replication.
All write goes to Master, which creates more load on master node
If Master goes down, whole architecture is prone to SPOF (Single point of failure).

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its fast, if a lot of data has to be shown in a dashboard, the most important or the frequently accessed ones can be saved in a redis data store and the remaining can be saved in any SQl/NoSQL database

  ### 39. It's fast as you can imagine

Yes

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We was using to solve data large data to store at same time when multiple users are accessing the application in data aggrigatore domain.

  ### 40. Scale Redis services in a few clicks !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milad T. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2016

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Redis is a critical component in many systems now days. It is incredibly fast, powerful and stable with an extraordinary set of useful data structures, suitable for most tasks. Redis cloud make it incredibly easy to scale your needs in matter of few clicks. It is very affordable, the pricing the fair and the service is easy-to-use and highly available.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

I do not dislike anything in particular about Redis cloud. It would be useful if customers can choose between a set of data-centers around the globe, despite the fact that redis itself is very fast and Redis cloud is incredible in delivering data, latency still plays a huge roll because of connectivity issues. It would be nice to be able to choose a server more close to the customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Redis Cloud:**

If you want to scale, Redis cloud is the way to go.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Distributed systems. Message Queues. Publish/Subscribe .

  ### 41. Simple ready to use Redis in the Cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas M. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

As a heroku plugins, this is very easy to setup, it already come with basic configurations & authentication profile.
I can easily change Eviction Policy and set utilization alerts, the dashboard is very simple but do the job very well

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Does not allow to manually upgrade redis version, in old setup plugin this is sometimes a problem, even if you completely remove the plugin.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users sessions and Cache application requests

  ### 42. The best out there for Redis hosting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe N. | Technical Team Lead (API), Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Redis Cloud takes away any complexity in hosting and maintaining redis in the cloud. The setup couldn't be easier and so far we've experienced not downtime in almost 2 years. Really happy with the product, the support and the availability of Redis Cloud.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Overall the service is great and there's not much I dislike. Future improvements would be to connect with other platforms more easily such as Datadog and other metrics reporting and alerting platforms. The service is a bit expensive as well but again the product is great.

**Recommendations to others considering Redis Cloud:**

If you don't have a DevOps team just go for it. The setup is easy and the service is really reliable. Take a look at the advanced metrics section of the dashboard for mean access to great data.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing data in a fast datastore (redis) and not having to manage any of it ourselves.

  ### 43. One click install

It took me less than 10 seconds to get set up. When I ran out of memory, I managed to upgrade within a minute.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

I haven't had any issues with my Redis installation

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Redis to store background job data.

  ### 44. Redis without the hassle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdel K. | Sr. Cloud Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Redis Cloud?**

Very simple and easy integration with Heroku. We use it for many applications in Heroku over many other choices, simple because its dependable and works.

**What do you dislike about Redis Cloud?**

Not much to dislike. The UI is a bit outdated and could use some revamping.

**Recommendations to others considering Redis Cloud:**

Dont cut your self short when choosing your plan.

**What problems is Redis Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a caching layer that integrates with Heroku easily and scales accordingly. Redis Cloud did the job as advertised.
