Red Sentry might have limited scope as it might not cover all the potential data leaks. It might have limited customization options for monitoring rules and alerts hence not catering the specific needs of the user. It is also complicated when integrating with existing security systems requiring additional expertise increasing the overall cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Red Sentry automates pen testing process, running scans every minute nonstop identifying vulnerability whenever they emerge. Red Sentry may not be fully customised to meet the specific environment or risk profile, tailoring scans might need additional manual effort. It has potential for false positives where vulnerabilities are flagged when they are not actual risks may lead to wastage of resources on investigating and remediating to non-issues. It is dependant on security experts to interpret findings, prioritize risks, and recommend appropriate remediation actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Red Sentry handles the pentesting and vulnerability scanning for the portfolio companies in our venture studio, many of which have strict compliance regulations in their different industries (fintech, transportation, and others). They’re so easy to work with, and have found some really critical vulnerabilities that we were able to patch up immediately. For us, having the dedicated project manager is important too, because not all of our stakeholders are technical, so Jacob is able to explain things in simple terms and walk us through the process in a really white-glove way. They also have great easy to understand reports that my engineering and management team love. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing we would like is to have our pentesting results in a platform SaaS format, like their vulnerability scanning. That way, we can see the results from all our projects at once, track over time, etc. But, Red Sentry is building a PTaaS platform right now based on customer feedback, so I’m looking forward to when that launches. Red Sentry enables us to create custom rulesets that are comprehensive and doesn't require much tuning to filter out noise & false positives. Its CVE handling is great as we can view which CVEs have matching security notices. This gives me the convenience to sort if a vulnerability has a security notice and find action items for the CVEs. One downside of Red Sentry is its technical documentation & whitepapers. We track all our client assets & monitor their cloud environments for resource discovery so proper documentation for our reference is essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Red Sentry is the dashboard HUD views that give us a prioritized view of how the issues 'should' be triaged. The notifications and alerts we receive via email and slack are also super helpful because they immediately facilitate conversation and action around the issue discovered. The UI, in some areas of the app, is not the prettiest (but I'd rather have the functionality than looks anyway); but I know their product team is focusing on a UI/UX refresh in the coming months so it's really a moot point. I'm excited to see the new UI! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
