Redhat AKA RHEL is a best Linux OS environment that anybody can use on there enterprise environments. Mostly because of the support and the security they provides, its freqently provides all the patches to all the indentified bugs and can be used to deploy test and modify any kind of linux based packages easily. You can deploy this OS using very low hardware resources and if you are CLI lover this is the product that you need to choose.

**What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

>>The main problem that it is solving is in the field of security, there are so many vulnerabilities nowsdays that can lead to problems, RHEL provides advanced security features such as SELinux, security patches, and proactive vulnerability management which is very useful.
>>RHEL has high uptime and reliability, so in that way it is providing a stable platform for running critical applications and services which is a problem for normal operating systems as they have frequent downtime.

  ### 35. A Great Enterprise-Grade Operating System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dillon S. | Customer Service Specialist, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

I enjoy the open-source ecosystem of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). RHEL, along with other RPM-based distributions (Fedora, CentOS, etc.), have a great package management system (dnf/yum), and the dependency resolution is really nice, regardless of if fetching content from the public Red Hat servers, or via a local Red Hat Satellite server. I also enjoy Red Hat Insights and being able to view statistics about my system (compliance, patches, asset information) on the go, without needing to log into the system or an underlying hypervisor.

**What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

I'm unsure if this is specific to RHEL, or if other Enterprise Linux distributions face this same issue, but some of the features included in RHEL are not always FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) compliant. The one utility that is not FIPS compliant is Leapp, which is a bit frustrating, especially during the RHEL 7/CentOS 7 End-of-Life.

**What problems is Red Hat Enterprise Linux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is providing myself and my organization with the ability to run up-to-date versions of software, while also providing a stable infrastructure for Production-level workloads. That benefits me/us by experiencing less downtime, which means our customers and end-users can spend more time developing their applications and completing their work.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

Because RHEL is dependable and consistent, I enjoy it. Its dependability and exceptional capacity to revert to the prior state of configuration make it suitable for use in mission-critical applications. Long-term security and dependability are guaranteed, and regular updates and patches are provided in addition to long-term support. I like the support team's promptness; every time I file a case for help or clarification, I always receive a prompt response.

**What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

Although RHEL provides excellent expert assistance, its community support is not as robust as that of Debian or Ubuntu

**What problems is Red Hat Enterprise Linux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redhat has made it easier for me to keep my IT infrastructures safe, reliable, and efficient. As a result, there were less risks involved, operational efficiency increased, and it was possible to concentrate on main business operations rather than IT infrastructure issues.

**Official Response from Brianna Gault:**

**Reviewed by:** Andres G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

As a long time user of Red Hat Linux, I have found the tools and management systems that Red Hat provides crucial in helping to maintain stable and consistent deployment. Red hat also does a lot of open source development work that goes "up the Chain" to benefit the whole Linux ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?**

I dislike very little about Red Hat linux. I think IBMs corporate ownership is my biggest negative, however, it is balanced by the open source and vendor neutral nature of the underlying open source ecosystem.

Red hat was a critical aspect of our push to move to a more homogenious Linux server fleet and implement Centralized managment. Leveraging satellite and idm alongside our migration to Red Hat has significantly simplified the process, introduced automation, and imroved consistency.
