Half of the leads have fake numbers and email addresses. They will not let you cancel for dissatisfaction. The service seems to fail to live up to what they advertise, needing better testing and regulation by the government. The initial setup isn't easy because they give area codes instead of town names, providing a completely different area claiming it's yours. They also push aggressively to sign up by claiming they offer a special rate that will expire soon. **What problems is Realtor.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** Realtor.com fails to solve my lead generation problems, providing terrible leads with 0% conversion as many have fake numbers and emails. I'm so often busy and can't answer a phone call, so I would often miss out on my Zillow leads. I've had much better success with Realtor.com leads overall. One of my favorite features is that you can still purchase non-shared leads that only go to you, so you're not competing with another agent. Their system for following up with and managing your contacts is also superior to Zillow IMO. At no additional cost you can send them market reports and new listing alerts directly through Realtor.com, which is great for any agents starting out that don't have a dedicated CRM yet. **What do you dislike about Realtor.com?** In the last year I've experienced SO MANY issues with their app on my Google Pixel 7 & 8 Pro along with their "Realtor.com for Professionals" website. For context, I'm a fairly tech-savvy person with IT support as well. The texting interface in the app is extremely glitchy and freezes up all the time. I also haven't been able to delete contacts from within the app for a very long time. I sent a complaint and they basically just said they're aware of the issue and are working on it (but it's been months now and it's still not working correctly). I even deleted the app and re-installed it, but nothing improved. My contacts also don't sync correctly on the website, and for a while the website simply wouldn't load on Chrome despite me doing everything they suggested to make it work. This makes it far more difficult to manage my leads and business overall. **What problems is Realtor.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use them primarily as a lead generation service. I also maintain my profile and collect reviews on Realtor.com. I've had solid ROI from their lead generation. ### 4. This is not true!! The leads are shared to multiple agents! The leads are also very low grade. I don't like that you sign up blind and you are forced to stay in for a full year. The leads are terrible and you end up bleeding out money and not getting closings. Customer service is terrible, most of the people in the sales department are so hateful and threatening. The people who I have spoken with first are always very nice then you get transferred to the sales department. That's when everything changes. They're so unkind! It's like joining the mafia because once you're in you can not get out! You are forced to complete a full year even though the leads are so low grade, shared, and most of what I've gotten are $5,000 lots, $10,000 mobile homes, etc...and rarely a response from any of the leads. I will complete my time, because I'm being forced to do so, and I will NEVER sign up with realtor.com again! This has been the greatest waste of money for leads I've experienced in my career as a realtor. Once you signup to advertise in certain areas, your advertising goes into an auto-renew status and the only way to cancel is to contact your specific account representative that you are UNABLE TO CONTACT. Customer Service "cannot" remove the auto-renew so that you can cancel your subscription. We have been trying for MONTHS to take off the auto renew but cannot because the account rep is the ONLY person able to take it off and he ignores MONTHS of phone calls, emails and even pleas for acknowledgement. Contacting Supervisors, Department Heads or even Company Heads is futile, there is no response from ANYONE but Customer Service, which can't actually do anything to help. I realize this isnt Realtor.com s problem but its mine and they will only let me change zips for another one. Nothing else is open believe it or not. I cannot run a business like this. I have invested a lot of money into Realtor.com and its totally lost for at least this month. Thats why I signed up for only 6 months period. Realtor.com also sent them other homes to preview in the area!! THEY ARE LIARS! I have cancelled my credit card so they can't charge me anymore and i am sure i will have to get my real estate attorney involved before this is all over. This is the 2nd time in the last 10 years that i have tried to do business with them & the last! Run from them if they contact you & if you do any business with them, you had better RECORD the conversation because they will deny they said it!! As a user, I would rather those not show, unless I choose for those to be seen. With such a competitive market, it's almost pointless to try to go after a home that is already pending and I'd rather focus on other properties. **Recommendations to others considering Realtor.com:** Realtor.com listings seem to be pretty accurate and up-to-date for the most part. They also show price comparisons based on other homes nearby, the median price in the neighborhood, etc. Another nice feature is if you are looking at an off-market property that you like, it gives you suggestions for active listings that are comparable. In addition, they give a fair amount of mortgage tools that are helpful to newer homebuyers, such as a mortgage calculator. For current homeowners, you can submit for an analysis to find out the worth of your home or utilize their refinance calculator as well. **What problems is Realtor.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to create filters to see homes on the market that fit my parameters. This makes it easier to pinpoint my search and take appropriate next steps. In addition, the fresh data and notifications allows me to stay updated on the market and be quick to jump on a property of interest and get a bit of a headstart against other consumers. ### 42.
