RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Overview

What is RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

Infrastructure as a Service eliminates the need to spend capital on upgrading physical hardware and moves businesses into an Operating Expense (OpEx) model. The business doesn't have to manage or control the underlying cloud physical infrastructure but still has control over operating systems, storage, and applications. Virtual servers offer numerous advantages over physical servers. Manageability of virtual servers is simpler because you can easily connect to the server’s console remotely without the need for special remote access hardware. You can also clone virtual servers and create templates for quick replication. Lastly, virtual servers all see the same virtual hardware to ensure that your applications all run on similar hardware to eliminate problems that may arise from dissimilar hardware. Infrastructure as a Service has a pay-as-you-go model which allows you to scale up or down depending on your needs. When it comes to pricey hardware, an organization can save a lot by using RapidScale’s secure infrastructure and paying for only what was used. With IaaS an organization can eliminate the many negative aspects of IT expansion, especially issues with in-house infrastructure, while still receiving the processing power and storage that you need to run business-critical applications.

What do you dislike about RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

Rapid Scale is not providing the enough integrations with all the applications. From the support point of view as well, services can be improved. The pricing of Rapid Scales is great and with cost effective as compared to the counter parts in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS):

What do you like best about RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

As stated in the title Rapidscale has hands down best support team I have ever dealt with. I am the Chief Technology Officer in my organization and I have to deal with support teams constantly on a daily basis. In the 3 years I have been working with Rapidscale their support team has not seen a lot of turnover and normally the support reps know me by name when I call in. You cant ask for a better team when in comparison to companies other support teams "your just a number and a ticket." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

On rare occasions there have been issues with one of Rapidscales providers which is out of their control and understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Complete "work from anywhere" environment for all our Lawyers in multiple states. Excellent 24hour support team that actually listen to problems instead of passing the buck or blaming something else before troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

The best thing about using RapidScales' IaaS is RapidScale. Service is only as good as the people supporting it, and the RapidScales' staff (from the help desk to the sr. engineers) are incredibly resourceful and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)?

Essential Ingredients' biggest disappointment is that we didn't connect with RapidScale sooner. We could have saved a lot of time and money. Deployments, upgrades and migrations go-live in a fraction of the time experienced with past vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RapidScale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using RapidScale to host our IaaS has been the answer to our past "Managed Service Provider" (MSP) problems. Where others fall short, RapidScale has proven in reliability and responsiveness which continually validates our decision to run our business on RapidScales' IaaS.
