Vulscan is a great tool, and its the ability to provide valid and easy-to-understand product reports.

The customization of this software is what my team liked best. VulScan allows us to schedule network scanning based on our frequency. We also like the option that allows our admins to automatically create tickets for problems/concerns that arise which works to overall streamline our processes. I will say the the price was the main thing we were hesitant on this software from the longest time. It's not the highest price in the market, but it's not the lowest. But I do think the positive outcome this software has provided our company has made up for the price. Along with their customer service - they are always a call, message, email, click away. It provides a great level of insight into areas of risk not usually checked, or at the very least, not easily checked on scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main downside of VulScan is that it requires a significant amount of resources to run and can take a long time to complete a scan, especially on large networks. Additionally, VulScan may generate a large number of false positive results, which can make it difficult to determine which vulnerabilities are actually present in a system. Another downside is that the tool does not provide a way to automatically fix the vulnerabilities it finds, it just reports them. Provides NSE scripts that can add flexibility regarding vulnerability detection and exploitation. Some of the features that NSE scripts provide include network discovery, more sophisticated version detection, vulnerability detection and backdoor detection. Compliance manager is easy to setup and use.

It functions as a vital tool in our toolkit to ensure compliance for our client base.

We have utilized other solutions in the past. However, the ability to integrate direct client interaction with scanning and reviewing makes it the perfect fit for our customers and us.

The interface is intuitive, the scanning and integration is seamless and the centralized storage location of compliance documentation makes coordination and implementation much less painful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface for auditing Active Directory could use a little fine-tuning. It would be nice to be more granular with OU filtering.

What I dislike about Vulcan is its report-by-scan setup.

Vulscan is open source and similar to nmap but with vulnerability features so i can make my reports with cve score with little false positives and productivity comes along with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before partnering with our compliance vendor and using compliance manager, we were stuck in the past documenting via paper, pen and storing in locked file cabinets.

I can't think of anything I dislike. To be fair, I don't deal with more of the technical items for our compliance, so I'm unsure how those controls are managed.
