Easy to use/setup with helpful support when the knowledgebase articles don't exactly get the issue resolved. Easy to automate when/how to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remote site Vulnerability scanning when clients don't have a server or computer capible of running as a hypervisor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compliance Manager GRC combines a utility to scan the devices in the network as well as a guided walkthrough of the compliance elements to ensure that compliance reports are thorough and well documented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There may be a minimum subscription and time period in order to use Compliance Manager GRC. I believe we have to pay for five devices on a three year commitment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked its security finding technologie that make our organization secure. Also, it is very easy to use. It provide some flexibility to us in terms of vulnerability detection and exploitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VulScan, can sometimes generate false positive results for us. That means we are reporting those vulnerabilities that do not actually exist, So that will waste our time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use the reports to resolve and find misconfigurations on networks. The team has been making improvements on usablility over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a slight learning curve when using the legacy system, but they are moving away from that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it first integrates with Network Detective Pro when generating network vulnerability and security reports, and second, it can be installed on any domain-joined machine using hyper-v. Even though the instructions sometimes seem misleading, with help from support, I could set it up and get it going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not sure if I can tell you what to dislike about the VulScan, I think its a good product and does a lot but like I mentioned, I need some fine tunning and help from support to set the product up. Not easy for first-timers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Love that VulScan doesn't charge by IP's scanned, #1. The fact you can easily do a portable scanner - huge for us for our discovery process. Easier to use than the big name products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Downside for us is the bulk pricing. Would be nice to be able to buy in smaller chunks to get ramped up to a higher client count. Reporting could be a little stronger, but seems to be getting better. I like more "raw" or "sortable" data, that I can clean up before discussing with a client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Love not only the depth of the information provided but the remediation and helpful non-techie descriptions help continue to sell the need for the changes up the chain of command Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The installation can be very difficult, at times the documentation likes behind reality. However, the helpdesk is very supportive of issues and can help point you in the right direction, but it is still more of a self discovery Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an MSP, we are using the product to move into a new practice area. We're helping our government contractor clients prepare for the changes to CMMC, and the product gives us a framework and some guidance on working through all the controls. One thing I really like about the product is how the controls for multiple different compliance frameworks are integrated, so if (for instance) you need both HIPPA and CMMC or PCI, you get to answer some of the questions once, and have the answers applied to each standard as appropriate. I'm not sure it's a dislike exactly, but I'd like to see some links embedded into the product that could take you to the official documentation about each control. I'm sure there are "old hands" at compliance who don't need such assistance, but oftentimes turning the language of the controls into concrete policy is non-trivial, and links to more resources whch discuss the controls in more depth would be useful. Compliance manager can be used to track a variety of different programs that require documentation such as the CMMC. We started out with Compliance manager when it was a different product, it was a place to get started when we didn't know what we needed to be doing. It helps with the basics, gives you a place to put things, and points you in the right direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compliance manager hasn't grown or changed much at all in the 4+ years we've used it. It's basically the same, and it wasn't much to begin with. Unfortunately the system lacks many features that modern compliancy tracking systems have these days. It's basically just a paperwork portal, which could be done by something that costs a lot less. It does not effectively check any work, it does not suggest improvement, and it makes you follow a sometimes incorrect chain of events to get where you're going.
