## QuickBooks Payments Reviews
 ### 1. All-in-One Payments That Integrate Seamlessly with QuickBooks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

The ability to accept all types of payments, including credit and debit cards, ACH, digital wallets, PayPal, and Venmo. And has now added a Buy Now/Pay Later feature. I like that it integrates perfectly into my QuickBooks checking and accounting. It's intuitive and super easy to use. The AI tools that they have onboarded are also very helpful.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about it. Perhaps the fees could be a bit lower.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making a big difference in cash flow. In the past, our customers mailed a check. And since they are all over the country, sometimes it would take us 5 days to get a check. Not anymore. With QuickBooks Payments, we see a credit almost immediately.

 ### 2. Universal Payment Solution, Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sven-Malte S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I use QuickBooks Payments to raise invoices and collect money, and I appreciate that it's a pretty universal and flexible solution. It works for almost anybody who has a card, regardless of whether they have an account like PayPal or any other solution. This makes it a convenient option for me, and it's one of my preferred choices. Also, the setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

I find the fee for QuickBooks Payments to be similar to other card merchants and PayPal, which is quite standard, but the most frustrating part is the integration with QuickBooks itself. It doesn't make sense to me that it's not well-integrated. Payments coming into QuickBooks are not automatically categorized, which causes error messages. I have to manually categorize them and ensure there's no double accounting. This is something I would expect to be smooth and automatic, especially since it’s not a third-party system but from QuickBooks itself. Because of this failure, I'm increasingly using PayPal, especially since PayPal now supports ACH payments just like QuickBooks Payments.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Payments to raise invoices and collect money. It's universal, so customers can use any card without needing accounts like PayPal. It's one of my preferred options for its convenience.

 ### 3. Faster Invoice Payments with ACH or Card Options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark J. | Code Enforcement Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

Clients can pay directly from the invoice, which means faster payments overall. They can use ACH, card, etc., which also leads to quicker deposits and smoother service.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

QuickBooks Payments is convenient, but there are several drawbacks to be aware of. Processing fees can add up quickly, with card payments typically around 2.9% plus a transaction fee, and sometimes slightly higher for invoiced payments. For example, on a $5,600 invoice, you could lose around $160, which quietly eats into your profit margin. To manage this, it’s best to encourage ACH payments for invoices over $1,000 and reserve card payments for convenience. Deposit timing can also be an issue, as standard deposits take one to two business days and may take longer for new clients or larger transactions, which can impact payroll or scheduled obligations.
Additionally, QuickBooks may flag transactions for review, place holds on funds, or request documentation—often triggered by larger payments, new clients, or unusual activity—meaning you can do everything correctly and still experience delays.
Finally, reporting on fees is not always straightforward, as they are not immediately visible and often require digging through reports to fully understand the actual cost of processing payments.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Payments solves one of the biggest problems in business: turning invoices into actual cash quickly and reliably. Instead of chasing clients for checks or waiting on manual payments, it allows customers to pay directly from the invoice using card or ACH, which removes friction and speeds up the payment process. This benefits you by improving cash flow, which is critical for covering payroll, managing weekly obligations like your MCA payments, and keeping operations running smoothly.

It also solves the problem of payment convenience and professionalism. Clients are more likely to pay on time when the process is simple and secure, and QuickBooks provides a polished, trusted interface that reflects well on your business. This builds confidence with clients—especially important for contracts, events, and financial institutions you work with.

Another key problem it solves is manual tracking and administrative work. Payments are automatically recorded, invoices are marked as paid, and everything syncs with your accounting system. This reduces errors, saves time, and keeps your books organized without extra effort.

Finally, it helps with consistency and accountability. With built-in reminders, payment records, and digital receipts, you have a clear paper trail for every transaction. That protects you in disputes and gives you better visibility into who has paid, who hasn’t, and when money is coming in.

 ### 4. This software is piece of mind with my peace in mind.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I use QuickBooks Payments for my invoices and getting paid for my job. It's flexible because it keeps me from having to go around collecting checks in person from clients I do work for. The initial setup was very easy, as simple as inputting some information and sending the ticket or money, whether through a credit card or whatever payment method is chosen. It's simple and saves me a lot of hassle.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

More than anything, I think the website is kinda hard to navigate. Things are a little all over the place. So that would be my biggest pet peeve if there were any at all.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Payments keeps me from having to go around and collect checks in person from clients, saving me time and hassle.

 ### 5. Streamlined Payments, Slow Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenan B. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

QuickBooks Payments has been a great tool for my business. I enjoy how I can receive payments and pay subcontractors directly, and the setup for billing was easy, connecting directly to my business bank account. I appreciate the quick notifications of increased processing limits as my business grew. Invoicing is simple now with fields that are easy to follow, invoices sent directly to customers with payment terms included, automated reminders, and I'm included on invoices. I can see when invoices have been opened, when payment is initiated, and if anything is late. The process for paying subcontractors is efficient too. The initial setup was straightforward, following the prompts allowed me to set up fairly quickly.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

Customer service is difficult. I am still waiting on a response that was supposed to come in 48 hours. It has been over 2 weeks and no one has reached out even via email even though I was promised that I would hear from someone.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QuickBooks Payments for easy invoicing and subcontractor payments. It simplifies billing with direct bank connections, automated reminders, and allows me to track invoice status. As my business grows, processing limits increase quickly.

 ### 6. Great for Finances, Needs Interface Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I like how QuickBooks Payments helps us keep up with everything financial for our business. I appreciate receiving an email about payments coming in, which helps with tracking. I find it helpful that we can reconcile each month with our bank statement. It makes managing invoicing and payments easier and keeps track of things well.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

Maybe not combining my deposits. I always have to figure out who they were from with emails and add up so it matches the deposit. I also liked how it used to tell who the deposit was from. I really liked the setup from before instead of the new way. You get used to things and then they change, assuming they're better but I like the setup before. Software isn't user friendly for a small business. It was a LOT to learn.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I keep up with invoicing and payments, matching receipts to costs. I like getting emails about incoming payments, reconciling monthly with bank statements, and keeping up with our business finances.

 ### 7. User-Friendly with Customizable Invoicing, Needs Better Receipting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I like the easy interface itemization and how you can store items in your inventory that then quickly appear on your invoices. I like how estimates can be turned into invoices. And I also really like that QuickBooks Payments collects all that data for my sales tax. The initial setup was pretty easy. I was able to do it on my own, without any online assistance.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

I'd like for there to be a clear option to charge credit card fees to the customer. I would also like customers to be sent a detailed receipt when their transaction is done so that they can see their cost breakdown. As I have a lot of customers approach me afterwards and ask for one. And when I go into the system, it's not a very detailed receipt that I can give them either.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Payments solves the need for diverse checkout options like ACH, credit cards, and PayPal. I like its easy interface, how it itemizes inventory on invoices, turns estimates into invoices, and collects sales tax data.

 ### 8. Effortless Invoicing for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I like that QuickBooks Payments has been simple and easy to use. It streamlines the invoicing process, making it much easier to track invoices. The initial setup was very easy for me, which means a lot since I'm not the most tech-savvy. I think it's cost-effective, and the tracking is very good. The ease of syncing with my bank is very simple, and I appreciate that.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

NOthing...It's great!

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that QuickBooks Payments simplifies invoicing and billing, making it easy for me to track invoices. It streamlines my workflows for monetary tasks, offering a simple, user-friendly experience.

 ### 9. Solid Integration, Watch Out for Price Increases

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delante L. | Senior ServiceNow Developer & Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I appreciate the ability to connect multiple bank accounts with QuickBooks Payments, making it easier to organize all my business transactions and see everything in one place. The integration with HubSpot is also valuable, allowing me to keep track of CRM-related activities like who's paying and customer interactions on our website. I like that it helps in providing seamless information to my tax accountant, especially regarding the P&L and mileage tracking, which is regularly updated. The setup was pretty easy too, especially when it came to integrating with bank accounts.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

I don't like the fact that the cost is increasing while keeping the same features. Also, the mileage tracker sometimes hangs up and shuts down. There have been times when I was traveling for business, thinking it was running, only to find out later that it wasn't, and I wasn't getting those mileage tracked. Keeping uptime is something that needs to be improved too, especially with the mileage tracker.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBooks Payments lets me organize business transactions, distinguishing them from personal spending. It gives me a clear view of all business bank accounts in one place and helps my tax accountant access financial info easily.

 ### 10. Fast Payment Processing with Minor Invoicing Hassles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about QuickBooks Payments?**

I like that QuickBooks Payments is easy to use and it speeds up the payment processing time from my customers. I don't have to have another platform to create invoices, and I'm able to get paid quickly when customers pay by credit card.

**What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payments?**

Going back and finding previous invoices is sometimes difficult to do when I need to maybe do a repeat invoice to a customer with minor changes to it.

**What problems is QuickBooks Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't need another platform to create invoices, and I get paid quickly when customers pay by credit card.
