The initial startup was a little confusing before signing up with Live Bookkeeping.

I did not have the time to migrate my company's data into Quickbooks Online and update all my accounts, invoices etc.

The Quickbooks team saved provided me the support and coaching to transition my business to Quickbooks Online.

I have reduced my administration work by 50 to 60% and have increased my time spend on moving my business forward.

What do you like best about QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping?

I would suggest their ONE-time Clean Up service, and then just CANCEL as soon as you can without a monthly subscription!!! Even initial clean-up has left a mess for the bookkeeper they assigned us with. No explanation of what was done, where and what goes where. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When you request to be in contact with a manager/supervisor - you are told you'd be contacted within 2 days. No one ever calls; when you call after two days of waiting - you are told that the previous case was closed or some detail is missing and told to wait another 2 days...and so on (in our case was 10 days, until we finally gave up and realized no one will call and the issue will not be solved). We really wanted to like them. Overpriced service that has minimal communication and poor structure. For example, all the necessary documentation was provided on time to close on a specific month, but it took over 2 months for them to finalize it. Meanwhile, you are being charged for months ahead that have not even started. After the initial clean up - they left us for about a month with no support but kept charging us. What do you like best about QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping?

Nothing - although their sales team is really good at getting you to commit. The best thing about Quickbooks Bookkeeping is their sales team abilty to pull the wool over your eyes until it's too late. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping?

All of it. You initially speak with an actual bookkeeper during the sales period. The review of your books seems accurate, and the timing is promising. That is until you enter the actual service, where no one talks to you to communicate what is happening. You assume all is well given their reputation and your lack of accounting skills, only to find out you paid for a service you never received and are still left with the work. Terrible service. Suppose you need to reach an actual human, GOOD LUCK. The bookkeeping team will tell you to contact QuickBooks. Quickbooks will ask you to contact bookkeeping. Then Bookkeeping sends you to QuickBooks in an eternal loop - all automated of course - without any progress or ability to speak to anyone with any communication skills or help. DO NOT USE IT. If you already pay for quickbooks, Live Bookkeeping just uses the same A.I. to group and classify transactions. When they cant figure out how certain transactiosn line up between holding accounts, they just comment them to zero in order to move to the next client and keep their quotas. Support is non-existent. We've been trying to get a major issue involving these comments resolved for 3 weeks - wasting a ridiculous amount of time when we could've just done the books ourselves during that period. We hired them in an effort to utilize our time efficiently and it turned out to be a terrible business decision. I hate to be the person to say it, but do the books yourself or hire an actual bookkeeper because the legal risk outweighs the benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

None - The system simply commented out transactions in an effort to balance books without working to provide an actual solution or reconciliation. As we move in 2023, we found the discrepancies and now they will not correct them as we no longer maintain bookkeeping services with them for obvious reasons. They essentially "charge you for a service", never provide thast service, then absolve themselves of all responsibility. The website is a bit clunky, especially the messaging functions. I do know they're working on improvements, which I hope will be implemented soon. Like many small business owners, I wear a lot of hats. I used to try to do everything myself, and found myself incredibly bogged down with work that had to be done, but which I didn't particularly like to do, and which required skills I really didn't want to have to develop. QBLive has taken the bookkeeping tasks that I despised off my plate, and has let me focus on my 'day' job.

However - its practice of changing their software without notification and without any way to retain settings when they do away with things you've used for years is more than annoying. As an example, they recently made a change that trashed my custom invoices, statements, etc. I got zero useful assistance, spending more than an hour on the phone with a rep proving to her that it was no longer working, and that it had previously worked - only to be told they had made a change and that the good news was that I could participate as a user and send my feedback re their new 'features'. :/ I've asked 3 times to speak to a knowledgeable representative and nobody has responded to my email or system messages... and my invoice is still trashed, requiring me to customize it every time I need to send one. I am not a happy camper.

Oh, and the bogus system messages that keep telling me I've not responded to a message from my bookkeeper? Total waste of my time as you have to log into the system every time and look in the myriad of locations where a message might be lurking, only to usually find there is nothing there at all. WHY can't I just respond in an email and have the email copied to my dashboard/message center?? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They are very good at communicating with me and keeping me accountable for uploading the necessary documents for the reconciliation process. I wish they would be able to create credit memos for the invoices that are uncollectible, that would be helpful. I also wish that they could automatically have a two way integration with HubSpot without us having to create one or purchase a service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were having trouble finding the time to assign the proper cost and revenue journal entries. Our bookeeper advises us and helps us stay on track. This has given us more time to generate revenue.
