The simple usage and templates are actually quite handy. I was able to create a couple of different QR codes to allow my partner to provide contact details to our future partners without the cost of getting additional business cards printed out.
Also having the ability to create multiple QR codes based on need (personal vs business interactions) was also handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice to make custom adjustments, but I will be providing feedback directly to the company to see what features may be doable or may already in the works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is nice that there is one QR code for all of my social media in one place rather than having a QR code for each site.
I never checked out any competitors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Had NO idea that there would be a monthly fee, especially 30 dollars a month! WAY to much for a service like this, IMO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ability to change the URL after creating the QR code. It allows me to get a print piece created without having to worry if the URL is the final one we will be using. I also like being able to add a logo to the center of the QR code for branding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I sometimes have difficulty with the downloaded files. I usually use these on print pieces and have had a couple of occasions where the file had an issue and wouldn't import into illustrator correctly as an SVG. One time it actually crashed Illustrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It´s extremely versatile, I can create QR codes for specific product information. I print the QR codes and put them inside the packaging along with the products I ship to my customers. I also create other QR codes that take my clients to specific customer support pages, allowing me to save time while giving my customers outstanding support. And I also create QR codes for marketing campaigns, upsell opportunities. I love how easy it is to work with QR.io and how much value I get out of it. And by creating dynamic QR codes, I can simply update the information in my QR.io account, and any printed QR code anywhere is always providing up-to-date information. There is nothing I dislike about this software at this point. If anything I would love to see more customization features for text, video and image insertion, and this I am confident will improve overtime having checked the roadmap ahead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's so incredibly fast and easy. Very clear instructions and simple download system. I love that it holds a library of past QR codes created, really helps to keep me organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't really name anything that sticks out as a major dislike. I will say I wish I could label them at the beginning of creating them, NOT after. Sometimes it gets confusing when I create one that's immediately labeled "Untitled" and I have other "Untitled" QR codes in my library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
QR.io is very simple to work your way through and create quality QR codes to use for whatever you need. Very cost effective for what all you are able to do through the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no major complaints or dislikes for qr.io, but since this field is required I'll nitpick one little thing. Being a graphic designer, I would personally like a few more options on symbols and shapes to use that just make more options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about QR.io is the analytics. I was able to see how many people scanned the QR codes down to the exact date and where the scan came from location-wise. Other QR websites don't offer that resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However, one major downside of the QR.io is that they don't fully inform the customer about the difference between static and dynamic QR. They put their emphasis on the dynamic QR code which is the premium feature and of course, the consumer will go with the one with the better features. The price of the premium $35/month is not worth that price AT ALL. The feature that allows one to see the number of scans the QR code received should be in the static package (the free one) and then the locations of the scans should remain a premium feature. It was ridiculous having the QR code disabled in the middle of an important promotion with my organization due to the trial ending with no warning.
Lower the price of the premium code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I came across QR.io because I needed to create a QR code for a client. After the client submitted a link and it was sent to print they changed the link. If I did not have QR.io it would have been a mess. But thanks to them we were able to change the URL and the QR code still worked! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They are constantly working on improving but I have no issues with using their software right now. As long as they keep customers as their focus and listen to their needs they will be fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Who said QR codes were going to die?
This has been one of my favorite tools used this year.
Simplicity and little effort are needed to learn and use this platform.
In my organization, we have used to create digital contact cards. Easy to place one on the back of a biz card if you still give those out. At events, conferences, and shows, we have used this platform to great as we need codes for digital publications and schedules. Even quick access to different sign-up forms etc. and the customization is top-notch.
We haven't even scratched the surface of all the options included, but it is great to have a platform that helps streamline outdated methods that we were using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I Have not run into any speed bumps yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about QR.io is that it's quite simple to use and intuitive, without complications. Also, I like that it integrates with Pabbly Connect, which allows me to generate and use QR codes automatically with other apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing that I particularly dislike about it, but at one point some of my QR codes stopped working. They later fixed it, but obviously I don't like that happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
