QBench Overview

What is QBench?

Labs deserve more than just another LIMS. They need a complete operating system for modern laboratory operations. QBench delivers exactly that – transforming how labs handle everything from order placement to sample processing to automated reporting. Think of QBench as your lab's operating system. Simple. Powerful. Adaptable. While other LIMS solutions force labs into rigid structures with heavy custom code and vendor dependency, QBench flows with your needs. It bends. It adapts. And when your processes evolve, QBench evolves with you. Here's what sets QBench apart: First, it adapts to your secret sauce. Every lab has its own distinct workflow, its own rhythm. QBench honors that uniqueness by offering unparalleled configurability. You shape the workflows. You define the data fields. You stitch together the automations. And through it all, QBench's team of former bench scientists works alongside you, offering expert guidance and value-added workflow suggestions. Next, it automates the tedious parts of lab work. Through its file parsers and robust API, QBench connects seamlessly with your existing instruments and systems, creating a unified ecosystem where data flows automatically. No manual data entry. No transcription errors. Reliable automation that lets your team focus on what truly matters: the science. Finally, QBench brings everything together in one powerful platform. Track inventory in real time. Give clients instant access to their results through a dedicated portal. Generate insights through built-in analytics. And maintain the highest quality standards with an integrated Quality Management System (QMS) that keeps you audit-ready, always. QBench empowers laboratories to work smarter. It's cloud-based, so you're always connected. It's secure, so your data stays protected. And it's constantly evolving, just like the science it supports.

Product Description

Qbench is a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that helps testing labs manage the end-to-end testing workflow from sample receiving to automated results reporting.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Most LIMS vendors claim flexibility, but deliver expensive custom code and long implementation cycles. QBench takes a fundamentally different approach.

We believe true flexibility means giving labs the power to evolve on their own terms. That's why second-time LIMS buyers choose QBench – they've lived through the pain of rigid systems where every change requires vendor intervention. They know how custom code becomes technical debt, making updates slower and more expensive over time.

QBench eliminates these headaches with deep workflow configurability and no-code tools that put you in control. Need to modify a workflow? Done in minutes. Want to create a new report? You can do that yourself. No expensive change orders, no long wait times – just the agility your lab needs to stay focused on science.

What do you like best about QBench?

It is well organized and easy to use. So much user friendly, can navigate any data from previous study. Data can be stored easily and in a organized way. Can be maintained data integration and implementation when need to be done. Easy commmunication for any customer support. A wonderful tool for frequent use in clinical research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Something it becomes very slow and have to wait for longer time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us to maintain clinical data for our ongoing trials. Using QBench it was quite impossible to maintain all the data related to the study. We can easily figure out how many samples, what types of smaple are availble and thier storage location in short time without checking the hard copies of documentations. What do you like best about QBench?

We really appreciate QBench for being so versatile. Our lab is on the smaller side and focused on geochemistry and energy production, so no LIMS is going to be exactly suited to what we need out of the box. Instead, we were given the tools to adjust the system to what we needed. Moreover, we'll continue to grow and change, and I can see how we'll keep tweaking QBench to provide what we need in the future. Once I got a handle on how it works, I've found QBench very straightforward to manage. In addition, Ashley was great to work with and answered all our questions promptly, or was able to get back to us if she didn't know the answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

The system makes some assumptions about its users' workflows that don't easily fit what we need. For example, there are some ways we'd like to track samples' analysis progress that aren't supported by QBench. That being said, we've so far been able to find creative workarounds. The learning curve is also a little steep at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping track of a high (and growing) volume of samples, each of which might require slightly different analysis. Excel sheets only get a lab so far when it comes to keeping so many samples organized and trackable, and QBench definitely solves that problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

We found QBench configuration very user friendly and straight forward, with a process that guided us through the initial setup and all the way to the go-live stage.

Our QBench account manager was very responsive and knowledgable, which added an extra layer of confidence through the process.

QBench is a software designed with the laboratory needs in mind, and the process flows very naturally, offering settings and tools that fit our operation extremely well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Rather than a downside, it is an imperative need on the part of the user to know their operation very well. This is a requirment to define the system configuration and fields in the right way from the beginning since changing it later although it is simple, may have much rather implication, especially if QBench is integrated with other systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sample accessioning, test batch creation and results allocation to correct patient speciment. And perhaps the biggest advantage in our case is the report generation and distribution, which in spite of being an external development, is capable of integrating with QBench seamlessly and effectively. What do you like best about QBench?

Qbench is a highly flexible LIMS that keeps all our lab data organzied on one platform. It is easy to navigate and allows us to customize different COAs. We added a few new assays this year. The customer support has been very responsive in helping us implement the new assays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Some custom COAs take longer to create than we would like. Qbench sometimes takes a few minutes to generate certain reports or load pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Qbench is a great organization tool that's highly customizable. I am able to choose certain filters and easily find the sample I’m looking for. Entering results is fast and convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

It's cloud-based and very configurable. We are able to map it to our workflow needs in lab. One of the best things is that it has configurable fields and worksheets so that we can standardize data entry in a variety of processes.

I also want to highlight that the support I've received from the team has been super. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

QBench can at times be overwhelming for new employees. It would be helpful if there were more configurable dashboards for certain staff so they just have a few icons to get around, rather a variety of menus. Having a clear Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, etc. workflow depending on the individuals' job would make it much easier for some folks in the lab to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tracking our trials, results, tests run, conclusions/next steps, and tracking of a variety of items such as samples and inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

I like that I can see our progress on study work with just a quick glance at the front dashboard. We have set up filters for each general area of the lab and are able to see very clearly what still needs to be done and what has already been completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Qbench sometimes takes a few minutes to load the page or pages we would like to work in. Some days seem slower than others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

QBench helps me see where a process may have stopped or been forgotten about. I can then address the stopage and figure out why/where in the process I need to be of assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

The website's modular design makes it very customizable depending on the needs of each lab or user. I love the level of flexibility to customize each filter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Having such a level of freedom of customization also includes a level of learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to have specific filters for each type of assay allowed me to have an organized view of all samples being processed. Additionally, QBench allows me to track the workflow of each sample coming in and out of the lab. Without QBench, I can't imagine how I would manage the workflow and keep track of all the samples.
