QBench Overview

What is QBench?

Labs deserve more than just another LIMS. They need a complete operating system for modern laboratory operations. QBench delivers exactly that – transforming how labs handle everything from order placement to sample processing to automated reporting. Think of QBench as your lab's operating system. Simple. Powerful. Adaptable. While other LIMS solutions force labs into rigid structures with heavy custom code and vendor dependency, QBench flows with your needs. It bends. It adapts. And when your processes evolve, QBench evolves with you. Here's what sets QBench apart: First, it adapts to your secret sauce. Every lab has its own distinct workflow, its own rhythm. QBench honors that uniqueness by offering unparalleled configurability. You shape the workflows. You define the data fields. You stitch together the automations. And through it all, QBench's team of former bench scientists works alongside you, offering expert guidance and value-added workflow suggestions. Next, it automates the tedious parts of lab work. Through its file parsers and robust API, QBench connects seamlessly with your existing instruments and systems, creating a unified ecosystem where data flows automatically. No manual data entry. No transcription errors. Reliable automation that lets your team focus on what truly matters: the science. Finally, QBench brings everything together in one powerful platform. Track inventory in real time. Give clients instant access to their results through a dedicated portal. Generate insights through built-in analytics. And maintain the highest quality standards with an integrated Quality Management System (QMS) that keeps you audit-ready, always. QBench empowers laboratories to work smarter. It's cloud-based, so you're always connected. It's secure, so your data stays protected. And it's constantly evolving, just like the science it supports.

Product Description

Qbench is a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that helps testing labs manage the end-to-end testing workflow from sample receiving to automated results reporting.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Most LIMS vendors claim flexibility, but deliver expensive custom code and long implementation cycles. QBench takes a fundamentally different approach.

We believe true flexibility means giving labs the power to evolve on their own terms. That's why second-time LIMS buyers choose QBench – they've lived through the pain of rigid systems where every change requires vendor intervention. They know how custom code becomes technical debt, making updates slower and more expensive over time.

QBench eliminates these headaches with deep workflow configurability and no-code tools that put you in control. Need to modify a workflow? Done in minutes. Want to create a new report? You can do that yourself. No expensive change orders, no long wait times – just the agility your lab needs to stay focused on science.

What do you like best about QBench?

QBench offers an easy-to-understand user experience that sits on top of what can be a system that is as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Due to its customization options, the sky truly is the limit. Our industry is one that is evolving quickly, with rules and regulations changing seemingly every week. QBench offers us the flexibility and the confidence to adapt to these changes and not be "locked in" to a system that quickly is obsoleted. There are also a number of features and modules we find useful including Billing and Quality.

The customer support during the implementation process also made me feel "taken care of" and helped expedite the integration of the system into our laboratory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

The customization options of QBench can be both a blessing and a hindrance. Depending on the design and requirements of your test workflows and your programming abilities, QBench can be a challenge at first to get working for your specific needs. The no-code/low-code worksheets are a marginal improvement on the coded versions, but still command a steep learning curve. That beign said I believe the team continues to release updates and new features to aid in the adoption of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

QBench is the LIMS we use in network of laboratories. It solves the problem of our labs needing to be synchronized and uniform with respect to lab data management despite each lab adhering to regulations which vary wildly from state market to state market. The system is also robust enough to meet strict regulatory requirements regarding data retention, audit trails, and record-keeping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

Qbench puts all our sample and LIMS needs in one website. It lets me filter through various tests and due dates which is very helpful for our use case. Also it very easy to make filters, input results, and generate COAs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

I think that it could be a lot faster when loading filters, searches, saving, generating COA's, and etc. It takes a few seconds to load anything and sometimes longer. Also the search function could be more intuitive. Typing a sample number, for example, and hitting Enter takes you to another page instead of taking you directly to the sample. It is faster to type on the search bar, wait for the drop down results, and click the sample number on the result than just pressing enter.

Also, in the filters menu, when selecting pre-defined date, there are many useful filters such as Today, this week, etc. but there is not a "Tomorrow" filter. Which is what is most useful in my lab as we do samples the day before they are due. Also once it hits 5pm or 4pm depending on the DST, the Today filter starts showing samples due the next day. I think it should be enabled to show current date until 11:59 pm local time (PDT). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Qbench puts all our LIMS needs in one easy to use website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

The QBench platform is extremely flexible with unlimited features. Our service is non-traditional to say the least, yet we were able to customize workflows and data fields to fit our process exactly. Our customers love the customer portal feature and the ability to create new orders and download data reports remotely. The QBench team is also very supportive and agile- they are constantly making improvements to the system... their customer service goes way beyond amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

While you can do everything without an in-house IT department, sometimes it helps to have IT-savvy folks available to make quick updates or changes. So far, the QBench team has been very accomodating when we need slight adjustments or help creating reports, etc., so it hasn't stopped us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

The ease of use and the adapability for the end user like myself to familiarize with navigating and using the software. The robust software and the capabilities QBench offers in their sofware is first to known. Learning how to use the sofware from the beginning was seamless.

Teaching my collegues how to use the soafware was easy with limited computer knowledge found it easy to navigate and input all our test samples and results.

The ease of tracking and tracebility was what sold me on Qbench versus other QMS softwares offered in today's market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

There is no downside. Only suggestion is if they made the Qbench app based in the future would make this software stand out from the rest and allow my team to use this sofware on the fly and while working on our production floor to input data more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tracebility and graphs. It allows me to generate visual graphs to show lab results for our team to analyze the frequency of high test results. Allowing to centralize all laboratory management needs into one software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

The flexibility is amazing. We were able to dial it into our process in a short amount of time and quickly see a path to implementation. The team have been great to work with, helping us figure everything out and readily available for any questions. It is a very capable piece of software, and they are updated it with new features and added value continually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

There is a learning curve. Prior experience with Excel or VBA greatly helps with the type of mindset necessary to fully utilize the strengths of the software. If your process is already well documented, they can help you implement it, reducing the workload administartors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

Greatly improving our efficiency by moving all processes out of custom Excel documents or paper forms. Providing a better method for customers to request testing. Improved data security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QBench?

The abillity for our lab to create new worksheets, adapt code for new trials, export data simply Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

The written materials to explain how to do new things such as batching are not easy to follow, so we end up spending days of trial and error to get things to work.

we use it for biobank locations and the search of locations is slow and ineficcient and you can have more than one sample saved in the location with no notification that that has happened. This is a big issue for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QBench solving and how is that benefiting you?

we are able to track and record what processing occurs on a sample, which allows more accurate invoicing.

we can rapidly export data for analysis Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
