What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

The system is very admin heavy. I use the people module A LOT. The lack of connectivity between the documents module and the people module makes the system very inefficient. The system also needs to allow vimeo links. There should be a lot more automation within people module when implementing changes such as assigning edits within job roles and assigning competencies. It should not take me 2 days to implement changes to requirements to our staff due to the design of the system. I would like the system to be more intuitive. i would like more individualisation with regards to the matrix display and I would like to offer managers a visual display of their team compliance for appraisals and competencies. too much data is "hidden" within the system. What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

The ability to easily and quickly build workflows is one of the best "perks" of the system. Workflows are versatile to use for data collection and a way to make paper processes "paperless". They have helped overcome many obstacles regarding documentation that our laboratory faced. The system is also convenient for document control, keeping the most up to date SOP's in the system and available for use. Since it also keeps historical versions and changes of each document, it is easy to comply with our accreditation standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

Their "normal" support in general is lacking. To get around this, we now pay additional for better support. This is new and we are still navigating how useful this is and exactly what this gives us. What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

Ideagen Quality Management is very useful in effective management of audit process, which includes audit planning/scheduling, audit execution and checklist development and raising and monitoring of non-conformances and observations to closure.

The software is also useful in Safety Management System execution including safety reporting, risk management including risk assessment and mitigation.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

It has the facility to track staff training and skills, with the people module. It ensures all key documents are stored and accessible in the documents module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

The move to the cloud has made the system clunky and unwieldy. To upload documents to the people module, I have to wait 1 minute 43 seconds for the system to connect to our servers. This is an unacceptable length of time. Previously, verifying documents was a simple process of just inputting my password. Now, I have to enter my profile details including email address and password.

The web-based version, in my opinion, is of no use to me. Viewing documents is difficult, as the document opens in a small window. There is no ability to upload to the people module, so I will not be using this version.

Frankly, I do not see the move to the cloud as an upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

I like that it is for the most part fully customisable and we can use it exactly how we need it.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

Raising an issue on the portal is quite difficult, the AI response took quite a while to get through to a real person and then they did not fully read my concern. It has now been raised to a level 2 so I know it is being looked at properly but it took a lot of effort on my behalf to get to that stage.

Making changes on existing forms will impact all of the forms retrospectively so that has been a little bit of a challenge to amend our occurrence forms to get them to function as we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

I like the folder organization and scheduled review capabilities. I like how it will PDF the Word documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

1. The Change to the QMS workflow functionality could be improved. How to add documents to the list is not intuitive. If I have a large list of documents that receive an update, I can't separate the documents and put different dates for when they were updated.

2. Referencing documents in other documents should add them to the list of documents that are referenced. Circular references shouldn't matter. It is preferred that the document can be accessed if it is referenced. However, I am able to add links in the documents which is almost as good as having a full list of references.

3. I don't like how often it will sign users out, even while using the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

I liked the ease of use of the system. The bolt on webpage for submitting SOC's is first class and allows personnel who aren't computer literate to submit the SOC in relative ease. The system was also simple to manage with regards to daily figures etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

We recently went from an older version of Q-Pulse to a newer version. We were promised a smooth transition. This didn't happen and we were not given support when problems arose. I also reported a Search problem to my system administrator which was raised via the Ideagen ticket system. Over a month later the fault has still not been resolved. This was said to be a bug in the system. What was a great system to deal with has suddenly started causing me delays at work and has caused problems. I'm afraid you let the side down here. What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

The web app is great; it looks modern and is easy to use. The customer service has improved since last year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

The web app does not have all the functionality of the desktop app, but the desktop app is outdated both in its functionality and the look and feel

Reporting is difficult to use, and the API set up is complicated.

Dates are is US format and cannot be changed

A Primary license is needed for simple functions that you'd expect a secondary license holder to be able to do for example, adding the costs of incidents (CA/PA's) which has resulted in us having to employ an admin person to complete this information on behalf of the teams.

Uploading files can be troublesome with certain file extension and file sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've made significant progress since 2023, including resolving the API issues you mentioned and implementing many enhancements. Our recent releases have focused on web-desktop feature parity - we've added report emailing, PDF conversion, password protection, and improved file handling in the web client. The date format flexibility you requested is being addressed in our ongoing development.

We're excited to share that our upcoming Version 7.11 (April 2026) will specifically enhance CA/PA processes, which should streamline the workflows you mentioned. Many of our customers have found creative workarounds in the meantime, and your account manager can share some best practices. For the file upload challenges, our support team can help optimize your settings for specific file types.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

IQM is a convenient and useful system that saves time when ballooning engineering documentation and generating the necessary paperwork for FAI reports. The software can recognize different drawing formats and allows users to adjust balloon sizes and shapes as needed. We are using this software daily for over a decade after implementation in company's Quality System.

This software is convenient and easy to use for either experienced or new members of Quality team. Training process takes a short time.

Ideagen is fully integrated with Excel. It transfers ballooned engineering information to spreadsheet.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?
