The ease of use. The flexibility to develop layouts, revise and modify. Things that would have taken several weeks can be done in days now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tough to say. Access Roads development could use improvements, more shading objects like combiner boxes, more types of overhead poles, modelling of trees more in line with PVsyst, Terrain following could be improved with export to PVsyst, and the ability to export things drawn in AutoCAD 3D and export as part of the model would be nice. For me, it is the best tool, I use PVcase from the beginning of the offer until the entire project process is completed. Before, I had to draw all the cables, and now it does it automatically for me. It's perfect! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The import terrain I don't use, we always have our own topographies to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that PVcase makes it easy to test multiple variations on the site easily. Whether you want to change row spacing, racking size, or restrict potential locations, eveything is easily achievable with the help of PVcase's user interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One feature that I would like PVcase to add is the ability to place a minimum number of solar racks in a row. For example, the software will often generate a single rack of panels in smaller areas but a lot of times it does not make sense to have anything less than two racks together for financial reasons. So PV Case Grount Mount,we used it in our Project back in FH Wels Austria, the PV Case Grount Mount is great so far, helps to design to our solar production wishes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Donwside cant find one, only thing to get used to and work quickly, because when you have never used it before ,it can be challenging, but with few guides and practices, yeaaah You got good with Mounting on The Ground. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The self-intuitive user interface and the flexbility of design are unparalleled. Other solar design software rely only on automatic layout generation but PVcase GM, being an AutoCAD add-on, gives the user flexibility of design by allowing to manually delete, move, copy, rotate, etc. individual tables, areas or groups. It would be great to incorporate a smart (or even AI-based) algorithm to group the site in inverter blocks (particularly when working with central inverters) in an optimized way that minimizes cable runs and considers constructability. Also, the lack of a modeling tool (PVcase Yield is still in development). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best features about PVCase Ground Mount is the integration with Anderson Optimization. Once information like wetlands, slopes, and other hazards are easily imported as seperate layers you can generate arrays easily after some custom inputs. If you're not sure about what spacing is best for your desired array size yet then their capacity iteration tool is a lifesaver for time! Stringing is also a breeze compared to manual use! The array generation tool tends to struggle to align by motor and has occasional bugs, but the team rolls out updates so frquently that most things get fixed before you even notice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It performs very powerful calculations such as the iteration of different configurations to a specific plot or plots, it saved us a lot of manual work and is really practical and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can still improve a lot in the calculation of earth movements and surface generation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a civil engineer / solar developer, site constraints and layout iterations are an important part of site design. Having this integrated directly into CAD, being able to utilize slopes, quickly run iterations, and generate detailed reports is why I value PVCase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The topography that gets pulled in is not very accurate. I usually pull in my own topography from USGS or more local based GIS databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Layout is a breeze. You can effectively go through multiple layout excercises in a fraction of the time it would take to manually layout a single layout. The ability to ask questions and get a quick response is definately also a plus. The developers continue to improve the program and seem to listen to customer requests for specific functions. The biggest downside for me inparticular is the cost. We are a small engineering group and work on a variey of projects other than solar. So the numbers don;t necessarily work out perfectly in our situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Es una herramienta facil de aprender y que constantemente estan realizando actualizaciones en pro de las necesidades y opiniones de los usuarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
