What do you like best about PureSec?

PureSec (now part of Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks) has been impressive for its comprehensive and targeted approach to securing serverless applications. What I like most is how it covers every aspect of the serverless stack from permissions and network protections to detailed data flow analysis so nothing is overlooked. Its real time threat detection and automated response features are incredibly useful as they let us catch and respond to issues immediately which is crucial for keeping things running smoothly and securely. The function level security is another standout feature I appreciate having granular control over permissions as it allows us to enforce least privilege policies and limit access at a very precise level. And finally the customer support and community behind PureSec have been incredibly helpful providing valuable guidance and quick answers. Overall PureSec has made serverless security feel both manageable and robust giving us confidence in our application security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PureSec?

One thing I find challenging about PureSec (now part of Prisma Cloud) is the setup process it can feel pretty complex. There are a lot of features and settings to configure which takes time especially if you’re new to serverless security. The advanced features are really powerful but they come with a learning curve, and I think the documentation could be clearer to make things easier to understand. I’ve also noticed that the alert system sometimes generates false positives which can interrupt work with notifications that aren’t always critical. Lastly the pricing can be high which might make it tough for smaller teams or startups to afford. Overall PureSec is a great tool but simplifying the setup improving the guides and offering a more flexible pricing structure would make it even better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PureSec solving and how is that benefiting you?

PureSec effectively addresses the unique security challenges that come with serverless architecture providing solutions that help safeguard applications and data

One major advantage is PureSec's ability to isolate functions

This containment approach prevents potential threats from spreading across different services adding a vital layer of security and ensuring that any issues are kept isolated without impacting other parts of the application

Additionally PureSec’s real time threat detection is a powerful protective measure

It actively monitors for suspicious activities and potential security breaches allowing teams to act before a minor issue becomes a significant problem

This feature not only helps in preventing data breaches but also reduces the risk of unexpected downtime keeping applications stable and secure

PureSec also includes automated vulnerability scanning, which identifies potential weaknesses before they can be exploited

By flagging vulnerabilities in advance it enables teams to address and resolve issues proactively maintaining a stronger overall security posture without the need for constant manual checks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
