## Pulsar Platform Reviews
 ### 1. Pulsar: A Complete Social Listening Platform with Great Visualizations and Reports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge G. | Digital Live Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar is one of the most complete platforms I've used for social listening. It gives different charts and visualizations that let you undertand better the data.
The automated reports and email digests are great to keep an eye on our proyects without having to enter to pulsar each day.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

I find kind of unefficient the way you hav to structure different buckets of historical data, and wait to uploud it to the analytics in order to use historical data in the visualizations.
That you can only have 30 days of historical data of Meta or TikTok its not so good for our projects.
There might be many functionalities that may be unnecesary and disrupt a project when you want to keep it simple.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strong data backup for better analysis. With Pulsar you can be sure you have a good amount of data to take better decisions.
Data visualization in different options gives you the opportunity to make better analysis of data and present it to your clients.
Its integration with a lot of data sources is great when you need a listening beyond social media.
The AI Narratives module is great to have a better understanding of the data in a quickview.

 ### 2. Lightweight, versatile social media data collection and analytics with great support and training

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgina C. | Product Content Marketer, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar TRAC is light touch and versatile. It enables me to gather data using broad or narrow focus and explore the results in the platform or download the data for more in-depth data cleaning and analysis. The new Boolean Generator is great for getting started quickly. Pulsar Trends is a useful starting point to gauge the possible volume of data for a givemn topic and where it is likely to have originated globally. The regular Power-Up sessions are useful for keeping up with product developments and sometimes meeting other users during the Q&A. My product manager and success manager are always on hand to help but most of my quick questions can be resolved in the chat with either a chatbot, knowledge base link suggestions or a support agent.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It can be slow if I hit it with lots of search set-up in the afternoon. Mornings and evenings (before 12 noon or after 6pm UK time). The filters within the search interface and Trends use a slightly different search than TRAC. This makes it a little more difficult to test my searches before running. The date ranges are also tricky as I actually get less than it says. The hover-over date ranges per platform (and knowing about the 12 noon cut-off) make this easier to understand. It is also frustrating that a historic can expire if not immediately launched due to date range limitations. It would be useful ti be able to delete searches once completed rather than archiving them. The integration with Instagram was awkward but will improve dramatically going forwards.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to listen to online discourse and derive topics of interest from it in relation to specific health and disease areas. This is information that would otherwise be difficult to collect, particularly in bulk over different geographic areas.

 ### 3. Extensive Social & Media Coverage with Fantastic, Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom O. | Senior Research and Insight Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar's access to social and media channels is extensive and offers brilliant coverage for monitoring.

The support offered by the client and specialist teams is fantastic. They are on hand to answer support questions to enable improved tracking. This support allowed me to adapt a recent trilingual search to be more effective and provide significant value to a client. They also provide support trainign and check ins as we add new users to the platform to ease the burden on my time which is very helpful.

The Core function is very useful for unified channel tracking and analysis which saves alot of time per month on our social analytics.

The team are very supportive and responsive with their guidance often aiding in getting significantly more from the platform.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Due to the greater coverage of social platforms this results in a longer, more complicated keyword settup for new searches. This is not a massive issue as it is caused by greater access than other platforms may offer but can mean search set up takes abit longer.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use pulsar to support clients in understanding their information environment, mapping their narratives and monitoring their campaigns. We work with government and defence organisations where the added value of understanding how their messages influence the broader social and media narratives is extremely useful in planning their long term communications.

 ### 4. Intuitive PR Monitoring with Powerful Filtering and Proactive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew F. | Senior Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Great for PR and media monitoring, while still being intuitive enough for day‑to‑day use. The platform makes it easy to track brand, campaign and issue‑based conversations across news and social and quickly turn that data into insights that are genuinely useful for reporting, pitches and client updates.

The filtering and visualisation tools are particularly strong - being able to quickly isolate relevant coverage (e.g. news only, specific geographies or time periods) saves a huge amount of time.

Customer support is another major plus. The Pulsar team are knowledgeable, responsive and proactive and are very good at helping refine searches or sense‑check outputs to ensure the data is accurate and meaningful.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The Pulsar Platform is powerful but has a learning curve, especially for complex searches or when using multiple tools. New users may need help at first to get the most from the platform, although the strong onboarding and support can assist with this.

Some features, like advanced audience or influencer tools, depend on token allowances, which can limit teams that need to do intensive analysis or work quickly. More transparency or flexibility around these limits would be beneficial.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without a tool like Pulsar, understanding how a brand, campaign or issue is landing across news and social channels would be extremely time‑consuming and difficult to interpret at scale.

 ### 5. Lots of potential and constantly improving, though it's not easy for beginners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toni B. | Data Analysis and Evaluation Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Although it takes a while to get things set up, once you have a robust search you can use dashboards to filter responses and gather quick insights. Once you're confident each part of a dashboard is correct (the search, the filter, the segment etc.), the insight can be applied in lots of ways. Having filters set up in dashboards has made it easy to get quick insight upon request and sped up reporting for several disparate campaigns.

The new evolution of AI 'themes' from 'topics' is great to use with senior stakeholders and applies a lens of exploration that would be quite hard to intuit or define as an individual. The ability to export large amounts of the feed is certainly beneficial and the standard export comes with many of the fields used to create the graphics in the search - which allows me to reproduce what I'm seeing before conducting further investigation.

The Pulsar team are highly engaged and easy to get hold of - where it's easy to ask for help or bounce ideas. They're always willing to come in and offer training and the regular power-up sessions are really engaging even when they're not about a related industry.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The UX could do with some work, and it's particularly difficult onboard casual users using the product. One such issue is that dashboards and reports lose legibility when exported, meaning that they cannot be directly sent to stakeholders. We have a very 'noisy' name and pull in a lot of irrelevant posts, which also means users need a good understanding of boolean logic (even when using the wizard), so it's not easy for newcomers to understand.

Another aspect is that filters are applied locally and lose connection to the original so that we can't "change one and update many". Also, the date filter often resets itself and it's quite subtle when it does - this has led me to quite a bit of re-work. It is hard to ensure the data is reliable without lots of checks and balances, but often the output is worth the annoyance. The sentiment scoring isn't overly trustworthy for our industry.

The Audiense integration is incredibly useful in theory, but the limit to X data has proven a problem - I'm excited to see how it can be used with TikTok.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to provide stakeholders with information they don't control is really helpful. External reputation and audience perceptions are quite hard to gauge - particularly without unbiased access to the audience. It's been really useful in showcasing the outcomes and impact of our work. The introduction of new features like AI Agents and their own data lake is increasing our ability to respond to requests - particularly since we're being asked to predict what's going to be a problem before it happens or review data we didn't know to collect. Stakeholders are never going to really understand the nature of the data lifecycle, but some of these developments really help bridge the gap between reality and expectation.

 ### 6. Love It Overall

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris N. | Strategy Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The breadth of functionality is very impressive, as well as the actual output and what you can amend to showcase your data in the best way suited to your needs (e.g. creating tables in the dashboard). Before you even get to this stage, the automatic data that you get on the launchpad is great - especially the key themes. That is super useful if you don't have time to really deep dive into the findings. If I was to say one thing, it would be the Key Themes!

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Maybe that there are various platforms within the platform that share some commonalities - potential for them to be consolidated into one. But this is a minor issue and does not impact the usability or the output you can get to.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is providing 2 main benefits for me:
1. The 'traditional' social listening function so I can monitor volume and sentiment of conversation around my brands, competitor brands and general categories - this is helping me identify potential pivots in social strategies
2. The ability to monitor macro trends and what people are talking about - this will help to pull out potential insights when it comes to strategising a social approach

 ### 7. Easy-to-Navigate Platform with Responsive Support and Unified Social Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evangeline P. | Account Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Easy to navigate interface with different sections laid out clearly, making it easier to train the team. Pulsar contacts are also always quick to respond which makes satisfying client's requests so much easier. Having one platform that pulls through all social platforms is also very beneficial, and is something that really helps sell the product in to clients

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Sometimes the coding of sentiment is way off, particularly around words that can be used in multiple ways (mainly those the younger generation have adopted). Having recently starting using email alerts, they are often quite clunky and would benefit form having a layout more similar to the platform so it's easy to digest

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It covers a lot of sentiment coding, which we would previously have done manually. It also allows multiple team members to work across the same project at once, and be able to see what each other are seeing.

It's ability to pull through historic data is also very beneficial when client's request back data for current projects.

 ### 8. Pulsar’s Reddit Panel Tracking Delivers Deep Healthcare & Pharma Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit D. | EU Head of Insights, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I really like Pulsar’s ability to track Reddit panels, as it gives me a wealth of insight into specific areas of interest in the healthcare and pharma world that would ordinarily be harder to come by.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be a more user-friendly way to select multiple markets to run Boolean searches against when using TRAC (in Boolean mode).

Right now, I can use the LOCATION and LANG operators to include specific markets in my search, but it would be much easier if this were available as a drop-down menu or a tick-box selection on the setup page when I’m choosing my channels.

It would also be great to be able to create different filters so I can run different languages separately across those selected markets when building my Boolean search queries. At the moment, if I need to run multiple languages, I either have to create one long combined Boolean query in different languages or set up multiple searches, and that takes some time.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to surface rich insights from Reddit - this benefits us, because the posts tend to be more in depth, and thus applying analysis to those posts results in a deeper level of insight.

 ### 9. Pulsar Platform: Intuitive Multichannel Insights with Exceptional Customer Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nisa B. | Head of Data and Insights, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar Platform offers a rare combination of multichannel and realtime insights, quantifying the qualitative, natural language data on their intuitive platform. Not only do you have access to the biggest range of channels on the market, the data clearly comes from people who know what matters to strategy development. We use it almost daily, and the user experience is easy with various data sources easy to integrate into the analysis. It's a must have source to complement any traditional research pipeline. The customer success team is exceptional and they support us at every step of our project lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Nothing that we dislike about the platform.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar Platform allows us to synthesise data from channels that are fast moving and difficult to otherwise compare and contrast data from. Segmenting conversations, topics and unique audiences across such a vast choice of sources is a luxury and once you use this level of insights, you can't go back to the old ways of digital insights from fragmented sources.

 ### 10. Pulsar Empowers Creative, Exploratory Social Listening and Audience Intelligence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr Sam M. | Senior Research Fellow (10% FTE), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar is the only social listening tool I've used that genuinely supports creative, exploratory thinking with data. Across both my academic research and consultancy work, I rely on its ability to let me zoom in and out on different aspects of a dataset, combining multiple modules together in ways other platforms simply don't allow. For my Big Qualitative Data research on Long Covid and vaccine discourse, Pulsar's audience intelligence and social listening capabilities have been essential for surfacing patient-driven narratives at scale. On the consultancy side, I've used it to build entirely new methodologies, like blending audience data with survey insights to decode brand entertainment value. The platform rewards curiosity and methodological creativity, which is rare in this space.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Honestly, there's very little to dislike. The platform is feature-rich, which means newer users may need a bit of time to discover everything it can do, but that's a reflection of how much is on offer rather than a design flaw. Pulsar's onboarding team are responsive and genuinely helpful, which makes the initial ramp-up smooth.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar enables me to analyse large-scale social media discourse with the depth and nuance that qualitative research demands. In public health, it has powered studies on Long Covid lived experiences and vaccine communications, allowing my teams to surface patient voices and community narratives that would be invisible through traditional survey methods alone. For commercial projects, it solves the problem of understanding why audiences engage with brands at an emotional level, moving beyond surface metrics to meaningful cultural insight. It bridges the gap between quantitative reach and qualitative richness, which is core to my LISTEN methodology and my broader Big Qual Data approach.

 ### 11. Great AI for Fast Topic Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amelia B. | Research Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The AI functionality is great for a really quick look at what is going on within a topic before delving into themes in more detail. The sources are also very comprehensive, being able to include recent TikTok history is very useful for trend research

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The downsides are sometimes slow uploads of topics when the system is overloaded, this is often sorted with a quick message but can take a bit longer than expected to run some queries. The historic search ability could also go back a bit further for some sources

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to get a read on topics as they emerge (new launches for example), we also use it to deliver "qual at scale" to get in depth opinions about brands and products without having to do bespoke research

 ### 12. Great influencer tools and outstanding support services

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar’s Audiense and Trac tools help us immensely with monitoring and research for client campaigns. We especially like the influencer tools. As an agency that’s in the early stages of building a niche influencer network, it was really helpful to discover we already had a tool that supports us in the early, time-heavy stages of researching content creators and gathering data about them. One of the best things about Pulsar though is the support we receive from Alex and Emily, the monthly calls we have with them, and the quick response time on all our emails. The team knows they've got help to build searches and figure out how to use Pulsar in the best way and compared to other services we've used in this space, the Pulsar team is definitely the best.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

We were looking for a full-service platform that could cover all our needs across media relations, monitoring, and influencer research. The Pulsar team clearly worked very hard to build a platform that ticks all of these boxes, but the connection between the tools isn’t always as strong as it could be.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, we were using several different platforms for different tasks, plus a media monitoring tool that, when it didn’t work, offered zero user support or help to fix our searches and related issues. Now we have a strong support team, and all our work can be done on Pulsar, Vuelio, and Audiense.

 ### 13. Easy-to-Use for Building High-Impact Social Strategies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | PR Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar is easy to use and helps us create and carry out high level, yet relevant, social strategies for our clients and monitor conversation around our client brands.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The only dislike we have is that sometimes you can have too much data, which can make it difficult to find the meaning of the data - but this is a good problem to have!

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Pulsar for social media benchmarking, social listening and influencer exploration. It is a great tool in the social media arsenal to support with reporting and finding those key nuggets of information that really help to elevate campaigns - giving quantifiable insights into audiences. The tool is perfect for uprating reporting and audience insights, giving usable results that are really helpful from an agency perspective.

 ### 14. Pulsar Delivers Powerful Audience Insights for Global Events and Public Sector Comms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Senior Insight Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar provides my organisation with a vital means of understanding broad and complex domestic and international audiences, including their response to global crises, political campaigns and responses to regular public sector comms activity

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

When very rapid results are needed to measure responses to emerging global events, it can take some time for results to be generated but this is dependent on the complexity of the search terms

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar provides international teams within my organisation to means to effectively analyse their comms activity in lieu of budget to undertake research and other evaluation methods. The range of location and language data is extremely beneficial and allows remote teams to conduct evaluation without using up central time and resources.

 ### 15. Great Granular Insights and Support, but Need More Boolean Power in Search and Filter

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I like that I can get very granular and look at specific responses and see them in context. I also like that it automatically categorizes posts by topic for me. The graphics look good. I really love that I can talk to a tech support person anytime I need, and they have been really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

I don't like that I can only go about a month back in history. I don't like that I can only select from a limited amount of topics in search. I dont like that the filter function is too sensitive, ie it doesn't pick up on words if there is a '/' or a ')' or '-' or '#' on either side of the word. I don't like that the booleans in both the search and the filter are so limited and small because I need them to be able to handle many many more exclusions, since people don't talk as regularly as we'd like, and I end up having to go through and delete things manually, whihc is why I end up spending so much time on the site in the first place and got access to this survey. I wish the dashboards were more user-friendly because to make anything useful i need to filter every legend piece by hand and it takes forever. I also wish I could see the ranking of topics, hashtags, and keywords as is first, without it being broken up by sentiment or emotion. I also dislike that I can't easily delete all related posts easily. If I find a post that is unrelated to my topic, and I want to delete all the engagements, there is no way to find them and delete them easily.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very helpful is determining what consumers like and dislike about our products and our competitors products, where the pain points are, and what the up-and-coming trends are. This helps us stay ahead of the competition.

 ### 16. Valuable Social Listening Insights with TRAC and Narrative AI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rui H. | Junior Data Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Our team has subscribed to the social listening tool and found that it's added value to our insights capability in many ways, complementing our current roster of insights services. I especially found the TRAC and Narrative AI functions useful for this purpose.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The user interface appears slightly repetitive in its sections, could be confusing and overwhelming for first time users of the social listening function - TRAC.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I see value add especially in the quality and depth of narrative and sentiment analysis we are able to deliver to our clients using the social listening tool. This goes beyond the the usual media performance measurements which are largely EMV based.

 ### 17. Exceptional Support and an Intuitive Daily Tool for Influencer Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross D. | Senior Campaign Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The standout for us is the customer service. The support is consistently exceptional, with an account manager who is proactive, responsive, and always willing to help with setup, training, and troubleshooting.

From a product perspective, Pulsar is a core daily tool for us. It’s particularly valuable for influencer identification and campaign tracking, with a platform that’s intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The social listening setup can feel a bit clunky compared to other tools I’ve used, particularly in the initial query building and configuration stages. That said, I’m aware there are improvements planned on the roadmap this year, which is encouraging.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar helps us streamline influencer identification and vetting, making it much easier to find the right talent for campaigns with confidence. It also supports campaign tracking, audience analysis, benchmarking, and share of voice measurement, giving us a clear view of performance and competitive positioning.

The benefit is that we can make faster, more informed decisions, backed by data, and deliver more effective campaigns for our clients.

 ### 18. Responsive Service, Intuitive UI, and Raw Data Exports with Pulsar TRAC

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

We use Pulsar TRAC to collect data from social media platforms for academic research projects. Pulsar convinced us due to their responsive service, easy to understand user interface, and the ability to export raw data for further analysis. We probably use the tool in a more irregular manner compared to other corporate clients, but Pulsar has always been very forthcoming in accommodating our needs. Despite being a rather small client, we are assigned an account manager who helps whenever possible.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

As with most social listening platforms, Pulsar has some limitations that are mandated by the social media platforms (e.g., historical data availability is limited on some platforms). That's not a real criticism of Pulsar though - more a general frustration I have as an academic researcher working with social media data :)

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar is speeding up our research process dramatically. While some manual scraping might be possible, it is often much slower and more resource intensive. With short research deadlines, it's often impossible to collect the data any other way. Pulsar also provides a clear framework for accessing and using the data, which saves us a lot of headaches.

 ### 19. Powerful tool with amazing customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar Platform is such an incredibly powerful and genius tool. I love how clean and modern the interface is and how intuitive it is to get insights from various angles. I particularly love the extensive customisation available through the filtering options, which allows us to tailor the analysis to exactly what we need. This tool has really streamlined our monitoring and analysis process!

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It’s not really a downside, but I did find that it took some dedicated study to get a good handle on how to make use of this tool - though that’s to be expected with a tool that’s this powerful and feature‑rich. So not really a downside. In fact, this 'downside' only highlighted how amazing the customer support is. Our CS, Cian has been incredibly helpful in guiding us through the platform and ensuring we get the best out of its capabilities.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Pulsar primarily to monitor audience conversation trends and sentiment. The built‑in features like email alerts and export make it simple to stay updated on topics of concern, while the dashboards provide a clear and efficient way to analyse and report on what we’re seeing.

 ### 20. Senior Strategist

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Honestly, it’s the people. They’re so accommodating and helpful, and they really make you feel at ease using the platform and the tool. I like how in-depth we can go with the listening, the multiple channels we can look at as well as handy tools and features like Narratives AI + automated reporting.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It can be quite complicated to use and get your head around so if you are new to social listening it can feel daunting. It would be great to get more back-dated social media metrics (which I know they are working on!)

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to automate reporting for clients, deliver better and more engaging reports, and provide insights and trend monitoring, as well as a clearer understanding of our competitors. Every client is different, yet the tool is flexible enough to do everything we need as an agency.

 ### 21. Fabulous tool that addresses our unique challenges, and working with a fabulous team!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alya K. | Senior Data and Insights Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The platform is incredibly useful for the nature of our briefs which are often around gauging perceptions and interest in existing IPs, and whether they are a viable new market offering.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

My only piece of feedback would be improving the UX of TRAC and query building. I find that it's still a little challenging, particularly for nuanced queries

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our unique challenges is also casting for theatre shows, and the range of tools have been helpful in understanding cast member interest as well as more strategic media activation with the cast member in mind. I've yet to find other tools that can help address our unique set of challenges.

 ### 22. Expansive Sources and Live Chat with a Super Responsive Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe S. | Senior Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Super easy to use, The expansive list of sources, the live chat are very helpful, the team, especially Cian and Archie are always available and willing to help chat through a new project.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The main drawbacks for me are the lack of a quick search function, the limitations on accessing historical data, and occasional lags in the system. I also find the boolean function a bit limiting, especially when I find I often can't use wildcard operators to refine my search.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me run robust social listening analysis for clients, and the always-on functionality is especially useful when I’m putting together quarterly reports.

 ### 23. Intuitive to Use, Responsive Team, and Always Improving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santina P. | Strategic Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

It is quite intuitive to use and the pulsar team is always readily available when needed

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

I like all of it honestly, i think they are also adding new things to the product frequently so that is definitely to note, they take a lot of user requests

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar is allowing us to save a lot of time analyzing different narratives and doing research that would otherwise take a very long time and many employees. in fact, i don’t think the scale of what pulsar allows us to do is possible manually.

 ### 24. Exceptional Insights and Support Elevate Our Audience Strategy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Insights Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

TRAC has been a valuable resource in helping us enhance our existing third-party audience platforms and build deeper audience understanding. By giving us access to both qualitative and quantitative insights, traditionally only available through formal research methods, it allows us to explore dimensions of audience behaviour that pure quantitative data alone can’t capture.

In addition, our Account Manager Emily has been on hand to tackle a variety of questions, suggesting approaches for niche sectors and challenging client requests. We definitely would not have had as successful an uptake to projects without her support and exceptional platform knowledge to guide us through.

We have been able to integrate Pulsar data from the platform into our own reporting tools. This has been valuable to reduce time spent on client comms while still providing a view of top performing content and category themes for their internal reporting.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

We rely on Reddit data heavily due to the long-form posts available across niche categories and we've found it valuable for that deep audience insight. However, a lot of our clients are UK or US focused specifically so being unable to geo-filter Reddit has been frustrating.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Across some of our clients the media landscape is saturated and highly competitive and existing messaging and content strategies were failing to resonate with audiences. Analysis of conversations on social platforms uncovered key themes that our audiences were discussing and needed from brands, directly informing messaging strategies with themes that we knew audiences were prioritising.

Also, across fast-moving, social-first categories like retail & apparel, Pulsar has been amazing in enabling us to stay on the pulse of trends and key themes, This has informed a coherent content strategy directly incorporating social themes into recommendations and ideas.

 ### 25. Great Interface and Shareable Visuals, but a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernesto P. | Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I like the interface, along with the graphs and visual cues they use, which can be easily added to a deck presentation.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It can have a steep learning curve. Also, Instagram isn’t easily accessible, and it’s hard to track comments. I also feel the boolean system is restrictive.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with the insight finding, also for social listening having one place where most of the information is collected and fun ways to show the data

 ### 26. Pulsar Delivers Unique Insights with Client-Friendly Dashboards and Attentive Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar has given us really interesting insights that other platforms previously used haven't been able to. The ability to create client friendly intuitive dashboards is a real plus.

The customer support has always been really attentive and willing to help and listen to feedback.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Due to the sometimes niche nature of the searches that we need to run for clients, it's meant that it has been difficult to narrow down the results to gain the best insight.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving how we are able to analyse data at scale - previously we were doing a lot of manual work where as Pulsar and the intuitive AI features that have been incorporated over the last number of years are really user friendly.

 ### 27. Brilliant Social Listening Platform with Fantastic Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie R. | Strategy & Insight Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar is a brilliant platform for social listening. The technology allows us to quickly understand online sentiment and trends at scale and the customer support is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Historically the platform has been difficult to learn, particularly when setting up boolean searches, but this issue is now being resolved.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The key business problem solved by Pulsar is undertstanding online conversations at scale across a large number of digital platforms.

 ### 28. Powerful Alerting and Visualizations for Real-Time Risk Tracking

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

What I like best about Pulsar Platform is how easy it makes it to track large volumes of data in a targeted, usable way. The alerting is especially valuable, whether that is picking up specific keywords, Boolean combinations, or communications from particular accounts, so I can catch relevant developments early. I also find the sentiment analysis useful for quickly understanding whether coverage or conversation is turning negative, and the visualisation tools make it much easier to turn live data into clear graphics that help track real-time threats and reputational risks against my organisation.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

What I dislike about Pulsar Platform is that some tracking limitations reduce its usefulness for comprehensive monitoring. In particular, account tracking can be restrictive on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where monitoring is often limited to business accounts. I also find the Boolean tracking limits frustrating, especially on TikTok and some other platforms, and the restricted number of combination searches on Facebook can make it harder to build out broader, more flexible monitoring.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enhances my team’s monitoring capabilities by making it easier to detect, track, and assess relevant developments in real time. Email alerting is also especially helpful, as it allows the team to receive timely updates and turn emerging information into actionable insight linked to potential threats.

 ### 29. Straightforward social listening platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Pulsar is a really straightforward platform, there's lots of helpful user guides and I use it most for social listening and monitoring.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It would be great if users had the option to mark specific social posts that are gathered within results in order to help train Pulsar searches for what to pick up, and what to avoid - potentially by using AI.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through social listening, Pulsar is helping me in my role to stay across what people are talking about online that is relevant to my organisation and our sector. The email alerts are also very useful for staying aware throughout the day.

 ### 30. Finding the insight that matters, with support you can rely on

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I like starting from the list of content identified as relevant to us and then diving into people’s spontaneous conversations. This can be done easily from the dashboard within each topic search. While the process is time-consuming, it would be almost impossible without Pulsar filtering and surfacing the relevant content for us. This relies on carefully refining the Boolean logic behind each topic search - something the Pulsar team were excellent at helping us develop, test and visualise. Recent developments, such as the ability to organise topic searches into folders and AI-generated topic summaries, have also been very helpful. We are lucky to have access to Narratives AI and have enjoyed using it to brainstorm topics for a range of campaigns and events. It has helped us explore ideas and angles we might not otherwise have considered. The application is also very user-friendly, which meant we were able to train colleagues in other teams to use it independently. To expand on the topic of training, from onboarding onwards Pulsar have been very generous with their time, and flexible in adjusting to our shifting priorities and timelines. We have regular fortnightly catch-ups, and the team are always available to support ad hoc requests or arrange presentations and workshops for the wider team. I also find the weekly Power Ups (e.g. case studies or deep dives into useful content) particularly valuable and relevant as a form of CPD.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

One area for improvement relates to dashboards. While they work well for analysis within Pulsar, they are not always easy to share as live dashboards with colleagues who do not have access to the platform. A simpler and more dynamic way of sharing dashboards externally would be very helpful, particularly for engaging wider stakeholders who would benefit from exploring insights interactively rather than relying on static exports. Dashboards could also be more straightforward to create; at times there seems to be greater emphasis on producing aesthetically polished visuals rather than enabling users to communicate insights in the most direct and accessible way.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar has enabled us to better marry up what we say about ourselves with what others are spontaneously saying about us. Insights from these conversations have informed our strategic approach to communicating about projects and campaigns and have helped shape our responses in crisis situations.

 ### 31. Pulsar: Data with the full story behind it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I like that you can actually interpret statistics. There's data, but without the wider picture, it can be hard to work out exactly what it means. However, Pulsar supplies both data and that wider context so you can understand. As well as that, it lets you listen in to conversations around your organisation that may end up being pertinent to you, meaning you can get ahead of trends, assess wider feelings towards our work or relevant updates in our sector, and get insights for future campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It can be quite complex to fully understand. We've had it a few years and because it's not super simple to use, I haven't felt like I've been able to get stuck in around other time constraints and fully get my head around it as much as I'd like to. That said, the team at Pulsar are very supportive and always offer training sessions or refreshers and aid with building out dashboards.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have lots of data but that doesn't always translate to anything meaningful. Pulsar gives us additional insights and understanding, helping us understand data as more than just numbers, and extrapolate into learnings that can be applied to further projects. It also allows us to understand our current audience better, see the layer around them that are on the periphery but not yet engaging with us, and see respected voice in those areas so we can reach people we haven't interacted with before in an authentic way.

 ### 32. Great for TikTok Campaign Monitoring with Excellent Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emrys L. | Senior Research Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Great for tiktok / monitoring real time responses to campaign. Also the customer service is great - Lizzy always on hand.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Think the Instagram business accounting is annoying as Insta is a big social feed. Also only having 1 month of data for certain accounts.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking Tiktok - really useful for campaigns on there / generally great to have that source of info. And social listening is always needed.

 ### 33. Intuitive Social Listening with Meaningful Insights and Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben N. | Insights & Effectiveness Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

Pulsar is a leading social listening tool. The platform is highly intuitive and offers features that provide clients with meaningful insights. Pulsar stands out through its exceptional customer support. Our account manager is always eager to collaborate, bringing enthusiasm and expertise that ensure a successful outcome for every project.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Nothing, Pulsar is an incredible social listening tool.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar enables deeper analysis of online conversations across various sources. It tracks volume and sentiment while identifying key themes and topics. These insights benefit current clients and support new business pitches. By monitoring brand perception, we can benchmark Share of Voice against competitors to refine strategies and identify growth opportunities.

 ### 34. Incredible Data Depth That Empowers Teams Fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonie G. | Head of Strategic Intelligence, Zenith, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The vast amount of data is incredible, being able to harness it quickly and easily means we can enable our teams rather than having to have specialist users.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Limitations in terms of what data is available, and how far oyu can look back with new queries.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Agile insights into what people are thinking about client brands, alongside ongoing tacking of cultural shifts.

 ### 35. Great Audience and Topic Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

 ### 36. Delightful API with Easy Setup, AI Pre-Analysis, and Great Data Visualisation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr Max N. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Set up, AI , pre analysis, data visualisation and of course the API is delightful to use.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Having used other systems this is easier, more comprehensive and immediately usuable. I would like the mentions to roll but there appears to be a pragmatic approach to managing this and so for so good

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed of insight extraction - pure and simple

 ### 37. Pulsar as an insights tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The simplicity of the platform makes it easy to pull out meaningful insights, from the ai generated summaries and Boolean suggestions, to the persona overviews in audiense it is a great platform to use internally and for our clients.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Minimum data limits for ai summaries and narrative overviews. Often our clients are focussed on niche subjects with small sample sizes and it makes reviewing of the data more labour intensive.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Pulsar for competitor positioning, stakeholder insights to help guide narratives and brand messaging and to augment market research.

 ### 38. Intuitive Keyword-Based Boolean Configuration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha C. | Business Intelligence Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

It has a very intuitive keyword-based boolean configuration

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

I don’t like the fact that you can’t customize the charts in the dashboards very much.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar Platform helps us identify and track non-credible content or discussions that could damage our brand image. This allows us to monitor conversations in real time and react quickly when potentially harmful narratives appear.

 ### 39. Flexible Insights and Real Sentiment Tracking Across Social Platforms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide L. | Global Strategist Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

- flexible insights
- opportunity to understand real sentiment across social platforms

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Understand what customers say about a brand/product and competitors
- Capturing LLM-oriented platforms sentiment, such as Reddit

 ### 40. Bespoke Dashboards That Bring Data to Life

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lottie L. | Strategy Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The bespoke dashboards help bring the data to life.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Can be time consuming to set up a search and limitations surrounding platform APIs / historical periods can be obstacles for certain projects.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to quantify conversations and share of voice across socials and competitors, which enables us to provide bespoke data to our clients.

 ### 41. Personalized Support and Deep Reddit Insights, Though Data Access Takes a Few Steps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

What I like most about Pulsar is how personalized their account service feels. The team is always available to support and guide us. I also really value the platform’s ability to provide in-depth Reddit analysis, as well as their partnership with Audiense.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

One challenge is the number of steps required between creating a Boolean search and finally accessing the data. The process can sometimes take longer than expected before the analysis is ready to explore.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar has been very proactive in ensuring continued access to key social data. For example, when Reddit changed its full Firehose access, the Pulsar team went above and beyond to make sure we could still access the data we needed. This has been extremely helpful in maintaining continuity for our social listening and insights work.

 ### 42. Powerful Data Gathering and Helpful Charts for Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I like that it allows me to gather a lot of data and provides very helpful charts for analysing it. They also support Indonesian, which is relevant to most of my analysis.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The analysis of Indonesian keywords is still far from my expectations. It continues to categorise Indonesian prepositions as topics, which makes the results less accurate and less useful.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I collect and analyze data to better understand the narratives around specific topics, as well as the entities that shape and drive those narratives.

 ### 43. Fast Social Data Retrieval with User-Friendly Visualizations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

The platform is fast at retrieving social data and very user-friendly in its graphical representations, making it easy for users to quickly analyze and interpret information

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

Many additional features are paid, and the use of AI is sometimes limited, which may restrict access to the platform’s full potential

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would be nice to enhance AI capabilities even in dashboards that don’t show all the functionalities available across the various analysis pages, and to allow more customization of the charts.

 ### 44. Fast and Efficient, but Article Ingestion Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** olivia h. | Senior Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

It is quick - our main requirement is speed.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

It doesn't ingest all articles and we're a PR agency.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly producing coverage for our reports which in turns helps us to support our clients efficiently.

 ### 45. Intuitive UI and Amazing Support for Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delph d. | Research and Insights Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

I find the UI very nice and quite intuitive. The support team is amazing too and helped us have a smooth onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

The downsides are similar to other platforms as in it is time-consuming to tailor a query for generic words like Always, Visa, etc.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulsar is helping us keep a finger on the pulse of our client brands and campaigns, adding more depth to our research.

 ### 46. Outstanding support and rich data insights with easy setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

As a platform, it’s intuitive, flexible and the inbuilt data visualisations are strong. I value the training modules and webinars. It still feels like a service designed for researchers, by researchers. The client service is second to none, compared to other platform providers. Big shout out to Emily and Alex in particular!

**What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?**

There are some limitations on functionality. The data cap impedes how our team use the platform.

**What problems is Pulsar Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s solving our team’s need for a flexible and powerful social analytics engine, to help us deliver integrated insights + analytics solutions.

 ### 50. Versatile Analytics and Broad Data Capture, but Historic Loads Can Be Slow

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?**

Versatility when it comes to analysis and breadth of data capture
