This seems to be a serious oversight in this day-and-age where video data sources are ubiquitous. **What problems is Provalis Research QDA Miner solving and how is that benefiting you?** Locating documents with content related to similar topics or themes. QDA Miner allows users to add keywords to individual blocks of text and search using keyword combinations. ### 4. All of these capabilities are very powerful on their own for the business user and become even more useful when exported directly over to its complementary product---Wordstat. I use the product as both a data scientist in industry and as a data science instructor in the masters degree program at Elmhurst College (Chicago area). It is the perfect tool for my applications. **What do you dislike about Provalis Research QDA Miner?** No issues with the product. The capabilities of the product are vast. I tend to use the retrieval and analysis features primarily. **What problems is Provalis Research QDA Miner solving and how is that benefiting you?** Text mining problems primarily. Analyzing raw unstructured text from surveys and customer commentaries to uncover recurrent themes and patterns of beliefs among respondents. QDA Miner reduces this very complex exercise to a relatively easy and straight-forward task. The time savings from using this product are very significant. ### 5. I also appreciated being able to create my own dictionaries from running searches. Moreover, the videos provide step by step instruction for (almost) any question would come up. The program also has a cluster feature making it easier to recognize patters and code groups of data - However, this funtion is far from perfect. **What do you dislike about Provalis Research QDA Miner?** The program only allows you to pull variables from documents on import when you create the project. If you realise later you forgot something you either have to begin again or add the variables manually. **Recommendations to others considering Provalis Research QDA Miner:** QDA is a powerful program, but if you want to have all the bells and whistles and regular updates it is quite expensive.
