## About Proton VPN for Business
Proton VPN for Business is a secure business‑grade virtual private network solution that helps small and medium-sized businesses protect their network traffic, enable secure remote work, and enforce access and privacy controls across devices and locations. It is designed to support organizations in safeguarding data, maintaining regulatory compliance, defending against online threats, and providing consistent, encrypted connectivity for distributed teams. For SMBs, this product can secure internet connections for remote employees or those on public networks, encrypt all network traffic to prevent eavesdropping and data leaks, and centrally manage user access. Proton VPN for Business also offers global connectivity via a widespread network of servers and includes tools to oversee and manage security policies through a central admin interface. Core Security & Connectivity Features - Encrypted network traffic & privacy safeguards: All data transmitted through the VPN is encrypted using strong protocols (e.g., AES‑256, ChaCha20), ensuring that external parties cannot intercept or read sensitive business traffic. - No‑logs and open‑source transparency: The service does not store logs of user activity, and its codebase is open source and independently auditable, enhancing transparency and trust in security claims. - Swiss privacy law protections: Operations under Swiss jurisdiction give data strong legal privacy protections and limit forced access by third parties, which can benefit businesses concerned about cross‑border data security. - Global server network & performance: Access to thousands of servers across more than 120 countries ensures reliable connectivity and allows geographically dispersed teams to work with minimal latency and consistent speeds. Business‑Focused Administrative & Access Controls - Centralized user and device management: Business administrators can set up two‑factor authentication (2FA), single sign-on (SSO), and SCIM, manage devices through mobile device management (MDM), and monitor authentication events via a unified admin panel. - Dedicated IPs and servers: Optionally assign static IP addresses and dedicated server resources for better control over network setups, useful for secure remote access to business systems. - Network access segmentation: Restrict which users and devices can access specific company networks or services, helping to enforce least‑privilege access and reduce risks. Productivity & Compliance Benefits - Support for remote work and distributed teams: A VPN enables employees to connect safely from home, public Wi‑Fi, or while travelling, helping businesses operate without exposing systems to unnecessary risk. - Compliance with regulatory standards: Proton VPN helps SMBs meet data protection and cybersecurity requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2 type II, and ISO 27001 by offering encryption, access controls, and security governance tools. - Defense against threats & network filtering: Integrated protections like DNS filtering (e.g., ad and malware blocking) and built‑in safeguards against man‑in‑the‑middle attacks help maintain secure browsing and reduce exposure to harmful content. - Device and platform support: Native Proton VPN applications are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, providing cross-device protection for employees regardless of their preferred hardware. Proton VPN for Business is a comprehensive solution for SMBs seeking to enhance their network security posture, support flexible, distributed workforces, and meet data privacy and compliance obligations.

✅ Transparent, privacy-first design with 100 percent open-source apps and independent audits that let me verify client-side behavior and security posture directly.

✅ Strong cryptography defaults, with full-tunnel encryption using AES-256 or ChaCha20 and perfect forward secrecy to protect session confidentiality over time.

✅ Centralized admin control panel that consolidates user management, policy enforcement, and monitoring into a single interface suitable for IT operations.

✅ Granular access controls including Private Gateways, dedicated servers, and per-team segmentation so I can scope access to specific resources and reduce lateral movement risk.

✅ SSO and SCIM provisioning to align identity lifecycle with our IdP, minimize manual onboarding, and enforce consistent authentication policies across the org.

✅ Enforced 2FA and a built-in kill switch to reduce account takeover risk and prevent IP/DNS exposure during connectivity interruptions.

✅ Global server footprint with over 13,000 servers in 120 plus countries, improving coverage, latency options, and geo-specific routing for distributed teams.

✅ Dedicated IPs and dedicated servers that provide static addressing, deterministic egress, and better allowlisting with partner systems and firewalls.

✅ 10 Gbps-class performance targets plus a VPN Accelerator and Smart Protocol to maintain throughput and resilience on poor or restricted networks.

✅ NetShield DNS filtering for ad, tracker, and malware blocking at the resolver layer, adding lightweight protection without extra endpoint agents.

✅ Always-on 24/7 business support and straightforward deployment without hardware dependencies, which reduces lead time for rollouts.

✅ Switzerland-based jurisdiction and explicit no-logs position paired with open-source transparency, aligning with strict privacy expectations and legal risk reduction.

✅ Compliance alignment messaging and ISO 27001 certification context that map to GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, and similar frameworks for audit narratives.

✅ Cross-platform coverage with native clients on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, plus browser extensions to standardize the fleet regardless of device mix.
