"Budgeting has never been easier"

What do you like best about Prophix Software?

Our main objective for implementing Prophix was to improve our budgeting process. We wanted to find a tool that would make it easier for the end user. We have over 50 users that have budget write access, we wanted to create an environment that would be easy to navigate and work 100% of the time without any latency issues or system crashes. Our end users are more than thrilled with the ease of use of this tool, and the workflow also helps them stay on track with the tasks they need to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prophix Software?

I don't think there are things for our use case that we would dislike. We definitely do not use all of its features, so I can't review and speak about the entire tool, but I do think the formatting functionality of dashboards could be improved. Sometimes we have to create charts in excel just because it has a bit more formatting functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

Number one, it solved our inability to budget efficiently. It made it much easier for our end users to budget comfortably. Number two, we are able to utilize a detail planning manager to more accurately budget headcount and fixed assets. No more performing calculations in excel to figure out what the depreciation expense will be for the following year.

Number three, it solved our reporting problems, where it took a long time to retrieve data from our ERP and put it in a report format. Number four, slicking and dicing data is so much easier to do, where you can take your numbers and pivot on them any way you'd like without much effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes there are too may files to navigate through, and I think that's done through my organization. I know I have access to many files and that is appreciated, but sometimes it's daunting to see so many! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Change is a 'c' word that many despise. Prophix is user friendly, and the trainings available are invaluable. I have a great mentor who is well-versed in Prophix and she is so helpful. What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

I love running Ad Hoc's and being able to download the transaction data to excel, pivot the data, or use it as a tool to look up any further details. What do you like best about Prophix Software?

Our experience with Prophix has been very favorable. We were looking for a tool to centralize our global financial reporting and planning functions and Prophix allowed us to accomplish this at a very reasonable cost vs other applications that were under consideration. The interface is intuitive and easy for end users to complete the required tasks. The web client satisfied our need for a solution that could be implemented globally.We are also able to administer and maintain the tool within the finance function which increased our flexibility and reduced our reliance on IT. The reporting capabilities met our needs and allows us to easily consolidate and present our data in a multi currency environment. We use Prophix for reporting at all levels, from individual business unit data to Board and Executive level reports. We have several connections to other systems to import data and plan on adding more. The drill through capability to this data is also a nice feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prophix Software?

Template/Report formatting can be quirky, but this seems to improve with new releases/updates. Template creation/updating can be challenging if you need to include multiple data views.
