Epicor Propello Reviews & Product Details

The point of sale screen with the quick add menu is very nice. The reliability as far as very little down times with Epicor. That part is very important to us. The Smart ordering points is usually pretty good, but there are still glitches with it that can be bewildering.

Epicor did a pretty good job of taking our previous POS inventory and uploading to Epicor which was great. But there were elements that they missed with this part that has caused issues down the road for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reporting on sales is pretty slim to no existent compared to other POS softwares. Support is 8/10 not helpful. The interegration with quickbooks is not smooth and was oversold during our trial time with Epicor which is extremely frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Probably the toughest thing for us is the cost especially during the lean winter months in northern Michigan. Early on we ran into many times when the item price through Propello wasn't the same as the vendor (Do It Best) price. Like the files weren't fully downloading. This has mostly been rectified. The POS is straightforward and intuitive. The Quick Find feature is very helpful for bulky or large items or those stored in a yard or backroom where you don't have a barcode to scan. Also helpful for bulk items or items by the piece (hardware, chain, rope, pipe, etc.) Easy to navigate the software in the browser to various areas to perform back end functions. Some of the reports require quite a bit of manipulation of the data in Excel in order to get the information you want. The regularly scheduled reports are nice but the information disappears (link no longer active) after a certain amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Propello is very easy to learn and use. It gives us a lot of information that our old, outdated system simply couldn’t provide. Since it’s cloud-based, our managers and staff can access it from anywhere they have Wi‑Fi, which makes it much more convenient for day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There’s a small amount of information within the reporting features that isn’t as easy to access as it should be, which leads to a few workarounds when I’m trying to retrieve the most accurate information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
