What I like most about Targeted Attack Protection is the visibility into any email threats. The detail and information you can find in any email threat is critical to understanding it's footprint in our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike most about Proofpoint's Targeted Attack Protection is that in order to manually respond to an incident, you have to go to their TRAP portal, find the message and quarantine from there. You can't just quarantine it from the TAP portal itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part of this product is that it tells how many users received malicious emails, how many of them clicked on them, and what is the exact risk to the organization, and share threat intel as well on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes while using the automation feature, it takes time to remove emails with help of the Trap feature which can become risky for the organization as till that time user clicks on a malicious email, which can be a threat to the firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TAP is pretty easy to setup and is done in the main Proofpoint Protection interface. URL Rewrite and Attachment Defense work really well and can be configured to do many things. The Dashboard for TAP gives a lot of useful information but it is done from a separate interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that I have to go to another dashboard to look at the TAP information/results. My biggest complaint about Proofpoint in general is all the separate interfaces for everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It provides proactive protection from phishing URLs and malicious attachments. Also gives a detailed analysis of the List of IDs affected by the attack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes do not receive clear answers to technical queries from the Support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface of this software is very intuitive and provides an overview of all suspicious emails in high quality and always effective. It also allows you to set up custom alerts when many suspicious emails come from the same sender. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This software sometimes picks up false positives and leaves important emails on hold where the sender forgets to place the important label or highlight in the email title that the email in question is highly urgent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Immediate alerting on things got through but turned out bad after initial click by a user. URL defense alert would be your friend real fast.
Easy of administration & maintenance but carefree solution for automatic detection of bad stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bit pricey but justified. Hard limit on none expiring custom block list URL but it is manageable by adding it as 120 days limit. Pretty sure feature improvement to increase limit is on the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For any enterprise it is must have product to see the trend and stop targeted attack on executives Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI need to be upgrade to more visual appealing not like living in early 2000 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reports!
The reports are amazing, they provide so much information and detail. They are especially useful for showing the value of the product and good email security to management and other team members.
The UI itself is very clean and easy to use, it is clear a lot of care has been taken on this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To me personally I feel it is a bit separate from PPS, I think there should be one dashboard to access all the products that are licensed to my organisation. I also think some of the dashboard numbers should be able to be clicked on and drilled down into, it feels counter-intuitive that that this is not possible.

I love the simplicity of the TAP dashboard and login. You instantly get valuable information when you login. We use it every day to track down incidents and help clean up user's email activity. The information that it feeds you is great, and it gives you plenty of information to track down the potential issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything about the TAP platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have a huge organization and Proofpoint is the best in the industry at keeping our users safe from malicious attachments and links to malicious sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no downside, other than the cost. Microsoft is continuing its progression in their advanced threat protection, and will likely one day be "good enough" where if you are bundling an E5 license with Microsoft it might save significant $$. This would have to be weighted against the risk of the product perhaps not being is good as Proofpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
