This is a very user friendly tool and the dashboards are very easy to read and understand. I also like Kemp's support. We have had to call into support a few times and each time we got up and running with little to no issues as Kemp does a very good job getting you the help you need right away. I do like Kemp's brand recognition as you aren't using some fly-by-night product. Kemp does do a robust job keeping track of how our environment is performing and helps our team allocate more resources to areas where they are needed. **What do you dislike about Progress Kemp LoadMaster?** Kemp isn't that good at working with other software tools you have in place, even if they don't compete with Kemp. This product does function siloed from other tools and platforms you are using so it does take a decent amount of human intervention to make sure this is working and updating with the rest of your environment. I also didn't like the pricetag that comes with Kemp. This is very expensive when you look at what you are getting, this can easily put you over your planned budget compared to other stuff that is out there.. **What problems is Progress Kemp LoadMaster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Progress Kemp LoadMaster makes sure that critical applications and software are always up and running and that there is no downtime. We do not have a lot of time to evaluate every product under the sun so having this be a best of both worlds as far as quality and not as expensive as something like Palo Alto make it the best of breed for us. ### 13. The interface is clean and easy to follow, and when things go wrong, support is knowledgeable and friendly. **What do you dislike about Progress Kemp LoadMaster?** The HA setup requires an entire system reboot vs. a simple services restart. The reboot adds additional downtime as all of the OS must also load into memory vs. a quick refresh of settings. **Recommendations to others considering Progress Kemp LoadMaster:** Buy it if you need an excellent reliable load balancer and don't want to mess w/ manual configs. **What problems is Progress Kemp LoadMaster solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a group of servers that needed to be placed into a farm but did not want to expose multiple Public IPs to reach essentially the same user interface internally. ### 31. Very good value for the feature set, especially as compared to F5 and Citrix. Excellent phone support, usually short hold time, then compatent, well trained techs. Also, frexibility of using VM, hardware, or cloud. API support. **What do you dislike about Progress Kemp LoadMaster?** Web UI. It's unpolished and not intuitive. For example real servers are *not* configred under "Real Servers" section. It's diffult to find the settings and setting for related things are spread across serveal sections. In consistent placement of the buttons. Inconsistent filed names, sometimes all caps like "Connectivity Timeout" sometimes mixed case like "Retry attempts" just below it. Lack of support for Duo 2FA. Muich of on-line documentation and tutorials are out of date. **What problems is Progress Kemp LoadMaster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exchange 2019 and web applications for redundancy in case of scheduled or "unscheduled" downtime. Possibly Global Balancing in the future, but not at initial installation. ### 32.
