Using it as a constraint that if there is a UI problem with a component open a ticket and move on has enabled people to be side tracked fixing small UI things less frequently. This is especially helpful in being able to easily use the same UI components on multiple platforms. Be it server side or client side we're typically covered well. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** Our largest complaint is that the framework/library specific bindings lag behind the core Kendo framework. So far this has been dealt with by including the non-framework specific code which doesn't conflict and if a developer isn't sure how to do this support will walk them through it. Typically when this happens the feature is soon included. **Recommendations to others considering Progress Kendo UI:** Try out the open source Kendo UI and if it seems to meet your needs decently I'd strongly consider going to the paid support with additional features. **What problems is Progress Kendo UI solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're primarily making CRUD applications and dashboards/visualization screens and kendo has allowed us to spend less time googling for what random tool to pull in and use. The Grid component is great, and the theming capabilities are satisfactory. There are many, many, controls in this library - we ended up only needing a few of them, but the ability to use more in the future is always there. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** There are bugs, and this is expected, but the support team was only partially able to help us with them. We suffered some performance issues that we had to find solutions for ourselves. Supporting products like these (code) is hard, I know, but I feel the support team could do a better job. **Recommendations to others considering Progress Kendo UI:** The product is good, but the support is a bit lacking. There are a lot of control, which is one of the reason we selected it, and they are overall high quality. But, there are bugs (to be expected). In the end, we had to implement our own workarounds for some of these bugs because we were not able to get help from Telerik. **What problems is Progress Kendo UI solving and how is that benefiting you?** We migrated our entire application to React, and needed to re-implement our control library. We chose not to do that, and sourced a third party solution - hence KendoUI. In the end, the project was a success, but it had some pitfalls. ### 12. In our website page we add controls in row and column. If you need 100% control of the look and feel of the controls, this product may not be for you. - The CSS themes are somewhat lacking, and as previously stated, may be difficult to customize. -Some components need more attention. Controls are relatively easy to use though can get complex for some features of the grid such as master/detail, templates, etc. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** Examples of implementation are helpful - include more diverse examples for clever scenarios. As mentioned, I used a grid for a shopping cart. A full-featured checkout experience using the grid and other controls would have helped. In addition, Kendo support is very good and relatively fast response. I have had several interactions and tickets opened with their support group and in each case, I was able to get useful responses to my questions. Controls that are most useful include the Grid and the Editor. I have used the controls in both ASP.Net and MVC. One website I coded used the ASP.Net Core controls (mostly the Grid). I have used the Tree View control to emulate a virtual file system with folders and files. It would be nice if they would quite regularly expand their documentation based on support questions.
