Kendo UI it's a complete, up to date framework and their tech support is awesome!!

I would definitely recommend purchasing the full version to get the dedicated technical support: it is extremely helpful to find the answer to any technical question or problem that might arise.

More important, the products follow the new technologies so you are always sure to use the latest technology.

Their killing feature for me is the possibility to export DOM elements to PDF or PNG.

Also, the datasource feature, allowing to share the same date among different components of the page.

I use it heavily for data visualisation (charts, grids, maps and so forth) and the possibility to customise almost any part of the visuals is a really awesome feature!

Kendo UI has definitely improved the productivity of my small development group as less code needs to be written in order to achieve the same results. Moreover this suite covers all the functionalities needed by our web apps. Documentation is clear and well structured

I didn't find any real bad aspects, maybe I would improve the examples part of the documentation : it usually offers the user too simple cases far away from real world situations

If you need a Javascript/AngularJs UI framework, with lots of features and capable of managing big amount if data, Kendo UI is a good choice

We mainly used Kendo UI to build a complex web data analysis tool : main benefits are linked to all the features present in the grid, multi-select and ganttChart components; this certainly saved us a lot of development time and gave us the possibility to add some functionalities right away that probably would have been implemented only in a second time

We don't have to implement complicated widgets like data grids.

We've had some performance issues when filling our data grids with calculated data that updates frequently, and the grids grow to thousands of cells.

Engage with the product, Progress continues to make improvements and its fairly easy to keep your own code isolated. Updates to newer versions have been quite smooth.

When needed we have been able to override their code to tweak performance for our specific, near real-time requirements. If we didn't have to allow for our customers to modify the UI, the KendoUI performance is quite sufficient.

We have not adopted their date pickers but we are considering doing so.

We have leveraged Kendo for custom searchable drop downs. They are fast and easy to configure.

We are using the JQuery libraries that they supply so we avoid any incompatibilities with versions coming directly off the web.

We do also use their collapsible data trees to good effect and allow our end customers to customize the final look via CSS files.

It provides most of what MS word has to offer and we were looking for something that can match the experience of traditional text editing functionalities like bullets, lists, paragraphs.
