With the use of DataSets basically its a one click solution where you define the query which you want to fetch the records to deploy and its done, it will handle everything for you. It's easily integreated with Salesforce, so basically you just set your data, your environments and go.

I already used other features in the past, but none of them compare with the ease of use of this tool.

Using Prodly daily, I know Prodly has some amazing functionalities but what I've been able to leverage it best for deploying CPQ data from one org to another which is a key part of CPQ implementation. The automatching mechanism along with the OOTB templates definitely make it easier to leverage the tool to move complex data and all associated data. Prodly Devops platform is consistent when it comes to improving their features so that the users can handle their release deployments easier & more efficient.

We can make use of its check-in & check-out feature from its guided deployment utility for managing our repository.

For tracking the changes to data thoughout our work items, we request for monitor license for that specific environment. This feature fine-tunes our RBAC management for our releases.

AppOps dashboard provides with plenty of insights so that we can see the progress of our production deployments in real time. Any status change will automatically appear and we don't have to refresh our dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have recently started using Prodly DevOps platform for simplifying our Salesforce release management & to quickly deploy the changes in our Sandbox, Staging and Production environments.

So far, we are satisfied with mapping of work item to the deployments, dataset selection drop down feature, managed schema changes and tracking changes throughout our Salesforce ALM cycle.

Having one centralized tool that can move data, metadeta. the centralized use of one tool for all deployments means fewer errors and more effective release management.

Easy to use tool, the UI is very intuitive and Salesforce users can easily navigate because of its intuitive UI. The independent tabs for each action (Ex: Data Sets, Deployment Status, Deployment Results etc.,) is very insightful and helpful to keep tabs on the status of a deployment or view the result of a deployment.

The dependency selection tree is one of my favourite features of the tool, it highlights all the dependencies related to an object and gives an option to easily select/unselect certain objects and fields.

The detailed problem analyzer is also helpful to debug any issues with deployments and identify what went wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish it caught issues with deployment/data sets earlier in the process i.e., before kicking off the deployment so the DevOps person deploying the changes can correct/fix them beforehand rather than waiting for the deployment to complete and then realize that something is wrong and fix them.

I also wish it had an option to select specific changes related to a record for example two developers might be making changes to the same record at the same time but they obviously don't want to override each other's work or accidentally deploy other person's changes with theirs.

I wish they had an option to roll back any failed deployments, this would be really helpful rather than partial deployments.

I also wish they had their own external ID setup within the tool that could be greatly beneficial during deploying.

Having Source Control is also really helpful to track changes historically and rollback if we need to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It makes migration take a lot less time than manually migrating. It also allows for the admin to not necessarily have to pay attention to every detail that was modified and can trust the migration will be complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The screens of configuring a migration are a bit slow and clunky. I'm not sure if the slowness is a Heroku thing or if it's a salesforce org thing or if it's a package code improvement thing. The screens to adjust fields, related fields, parent/child fields are clunky and somewhat confusing. I had an issue with Quote Templates where it wasn't clear how to add the child objects to the data set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
