The strong nature of resistance I've received from support when discussing issues with them. Seem often to brush us off, instead of work with us to solve problems.

The entire way media is handled is frustrating. Being able to upload, browse media, and assign meta details to each item... and then using it in a post is fantastic. But if you make changes to the item after using it, it doesn't propagate.

Same with thumbnails, if you add a new page/style/design to your site, you need to manually go to each and every post and reapply the image, to generate a new round of thumbnails.

I am using Prismic on a daily basis. We have switched to it from WordPress and I must say that it is much more user-friendly. The whole team can easily adjust pages on our website without needing too much of an onboarding.

Since the frontend and the backend are separated, the team cannot make unwanted changes easily (like it was possible with WordPress).

Honestly, the content editor could use some more work. The editor is missing some basic functions like the ability to create nested lists and tables.

Also, there are some other limitations that CMS systems like WordPress solve with plugins like setting redirects or YoastSEO for checking meta information.

- Easy to navigate docs - by following the documentation, launching a new project is dead simple. Same goes for learning about the service and tools at my disposal.

- Great development experience - no other headless CMS tool comes close to Prismic and its Slice Machine. Easy to use, implement and integrate with popular frameworks. Onboarding new developers is not an issue since Prismic is so intuitive.

- Fantastic SDKs that do their job effectively and efficiently.

- Very generous free plan - covers basic website needs. I've launched several websites on free plan only!

- Actively maintained - from my years of using Prismic almost daily, it's fascinating to see how much better Prismic becomes with time, still delivering new major features and QoL improvements. The things I like about Prismic far, FAR outweigh the things that I dislike about Prismic, but nonetheless:

- By design, it won't fit for storing data with requests like users, comments etc. That has to be handled by something else like Firebase.

- Mostly it would be technical quirks here and there, like working with linked documents is still a bit troublesome (TS typings, defining fetchLinks could be better documented for advanced nesting), slice names are tightly related to the slice folder name where they would serve better purpose as display names for marketing team, no slice descriptions like with legacy custom types etc.

- Rich text field could use more love in regards to customization - it can be not enough fe. for some blog use cases. Labels brought that a little bit of that at least, but they can't be used with the new document editor (I have to refer clients to the Legacy Editor as labels still work there)

- From a marketing perspective, even though field organization in a document is still pretty good right now, it could be better (however, as of today, Prismic team is working on it, so I'm excited). Same goes for navigating slices to add - it can be daunting to search through tens or hundreds of slices without being familiar with the repository already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
