I truly value how Palo Alto Networks’ firewalls deal with advanced threat detection. They excel at recognizing and neutralizing even the most intricate threats, which provides me great peace of mind. The interface is simple and user-friendly, ensuring an easy setup process. I believe that the effectiveness of these firewalls in handling advanced threat detection is remarkable, reliably averting potential dangers. All in all, it’s a dependable solution for safeguarding our systems and managing our policies with significantly reduced stress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Choosing something can be tough, as the setup process may seem overwhelming, particularly for newcomers. It’s also costly, with some features needing additional licenses that drive up the total cost. Nevertheless, once it’s operational, it performs effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Palo Alto firewall is not just a firewall, it is more than a firewall. The best part of the firewall which I like most user friendly UI and robust firewall upgrade process which has 99.999% success rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well as such I don't have any dislike but yes some times when you work for small orgnization, you won't get chance to work on Palo Alto because it is bit costlier compare to other OEM's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Best thing about Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls is Transparency and AppID.
Often times you'll find other vendors referencing max throughput which is measured in really strict conditions and/or without utilizing full security features on firewall. This is often times really missleading. When you look at PANW firewall throughput, it's measured while having all the beneficial services running.
AppID is really mind blowing part of the Firewall. From Reducing the attack surface by approving exactly what is the bare minimum of necessary apps. (Firewall it self offloads this for you, using the Policy Optimizer) all the way to knowing the impact of using such appliactions.
Generaly, features by themselves are something that you expect from firewall to have, however the approach that was taken, Reducing the Attack surface, is really what makes the ZTNA possible. All the way from segmentation, continuously inspecting the traffic, only from specific users/groups, and only allowed applications is a unbeatable combination. I only dislike commit time, when you want to make a fast change and see result quickly, you must pass through commit that takes around 45 sec to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of implementation because of deployment is streamlined with automated configuration tools whether on-premises or in the cloud.
The firewall provides ease of integration, because the firewall easily integrate with other security solution, such as Panorama and syslog servers and any other third-party tools.
The frequency of use of the firewall is very high because it designed to countious operation with minimal downtime.
Palo Alto Firewall provides so many numbers of features like threat detection, Intrusion Prevention system, url filtering, Remote VPN etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some areas where the users are not happy is the customer support.
Some users have reported challenges with the response time from customer support at the peak time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Palo Alto Networks VM-Series has evolved into a powerful security tool which is flexible when deployed in a virtual environment or in the cloud. Following are some of high level features and benefits as per my experience:
Cloud-Native.
Multi-Cloud Feature.
Scalability and Flexibility
Comes with High Performance Networking Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall this is one of the perfect and scalable solution, however everything comes with improvements, instead of dislike I wanted to call few improvements as of Setup should be easy, Lack of Support and Cost need to be optimised Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have worked with global enterprise clients using different Network VM solutions and Palo Alto worked for us for two main aspects: having PA deployed universally on all our firewalls facilated the internal management of our naas by our team and the support from PA when needed was always spot on. VM firewalls can only have 9 DP interfaces that's a limitation that this kind of product has Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, one of the best features that Palo Alto Networks Panorama offers is: the centralized management and the visibility across multiple firewalls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me Palo Alto Networks Panorama offers many good features, the Complexity for New Users, Learning Curve and the Initial Setup are some aspects that the users can find hard or difficult at the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use and quick integration make it a very useful tool, especially considering all the features it contains. It has also been very easy to onboard people to teach them how to use it, which hasn't been my experience with some competitors. Overall, it does it's job of securing our systems well. In my experience, it essentially just boils down to the cost. It is noticeably pricier compared to it's alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite feature of Prisma Access is its ability to afford consistent, startup-grade security to roaming and branch offices while not having to reinvent an on-premises infrastructure. As a Zero Trust solution, it makes sure that the users get access to only the resources that they are allowed to access and scaling is easy. This single management solution also contains many features convenient for efficient operation, avoiding the complication of the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first disadvantage of Prisma Access is complexity for teams unfamiliar with solutions from Palo Alto or SASE solutions. In fact, pricing can be steep, which limits the feasibility of using the approach by small organizations. Users have also complained of sometime difficulties in configuring as well as solving complex problems related to the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
