It also inegrates well with a lot of other apps, ecommerce platforms and webbuilders like shopify or wix. **What do you dislike about Printful?** It does depend what country you are in, as to how much you can expect shipping times to be short. Printful tends to favour the US. The european print warehouse is in latvia, as far as I can see, so if like me, you are in the UK, you would have to wait a good 10 days for dispatch plus delivery. We have 2 orders that ran past the deadline and both customers are filing a chargeback as they do not want to wait past the promised dates. This will cost me the price I pay to gain these customers, the negative review they leave and the fees Etsy will charge. Their customer service describes this as an 'inconvenience'. When the money comes out of my pocket and not Printful's and the negative reviews are seen on my store and not Printful's, this seems like they care only about padding their pockets and not customer service. The products were purchased on Aug. 29th. This should have been a few days to print a hat! Finally after chasing their horrific customer service when Etsy flagged the order as 'past due to ship', they think maybe they can finish producing it by Sept. 20th but offer no guarantees. Throw in an additional 7-10 days for USPS, that brings delivery to the customer around the 30th of Sept....at least. This is not only laughable but pathetic. This is a design on a hat that is already in USA not some complex production. I don't understand how this ridiculous business model is sustainable but know I will not put my business and my customers at risk. I have chosen to transition all Printful products from all of our sales channels and move our business to Printify. They have been very stable. Just an idea Printful....if you can't deliver products in some sort of reasonable time frame, give paying customers the option to purchase elsewhere by indicating proper fulfilment times right on the product pages. I now know you don't care about the effort us sellers put into making your business thrive or even possible. In return, I don't care if I sell your products ever again. There are so many up and coming POD companies that still believe customer service is important. **What problems is Printful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Printful is helping us to decide to switch to another print on demand company. This is stopping the waste of time, resources and money for our company that we are seeing as a result of using Printful's services . **Official Response from Printful:** > Hi, Brian! We can't guarantee these deadlines because of various internal factors, including the stock and capacity in our facilities. Additionally, I value the convenience of utilizing other platforms for designing or leveraging Printful's existing template designs. However, my absolute favorite aspect is the branding component, which allows for the inclusion of personalized inserts bearing my own brand, adding a wonderful finishing touch. **What do you dislike about Printful?** While there are a couple of minor areas for improvement, they are by no means dealbreakers. One suggestion I have is enhancing the "saved template" feature to retain the settings applied during the design process. It is both online and an App where you can create print-on-demand (POD) products using either your original art or their art and text to create designs to place on their enormous amount of products. They have a design editor, and the ability to push your products to places like Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and so many more. You can in most cases also write all the text -- title, description, keywords, etc, and use their mockups, offer sales, create your own pricing for products and it goes on and on. What I like most is it is free and helps me make money across the globe. **What do you dislike about Printful?** Though they are the leader -- even if Amazon Merch n Demand is coming up alongside them, their prices are really the highest in the industry for us to purchase wholesale, have printed, and shipped. That means I have to charge more when I use them for a product but their print and product quality saves the day. It is just too pricey for most of us. **What problems is Printful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Aside from being the best place to upload my designs and do all I have to do to create a product and push it to my online store(s), you have to have product photos in specific sizes, resolutions, and more for every platform you sell on and that is always different. Printful supplies you with all of the mockups you specifically chose. It is absolutely a lifesaver because I do not have the physical products, they do. ### 36. I placed an order for shirts that followed a template I had made and I used the same template for all shirts in different sizes and colors. To my dismay, when I received my order, all the logos had been different -some were tilted, some were cut off, and some were different sizes! I contacted them for a refund and all they said was it was my own doing, nothing more. To add to my frustration, each reply I made in regards to the matter went to a different customer service rep, so I was unable to get in contact with a manager. There also is no number to contact online a form to fill out, so they can email you. We tried to make it work. We used and ordered a wide range of shirts, hoodies, sweat pants, water bottles, phone cases, jackets, and dozens of more items over the last 9 months. The product quality and printing were always inferior - faded and blurred even though their system assured the print quality and files were good. The worst part has been dealing with them when multiple packages placed by various customers fail to arrive. They do nothing to track or notify of these events and then absolutely refuse to assist in any way to help resolve the issue. They refer you to a website that is in Chinese and proceeds to tell you that you're on your own from there since they have it marked that they sent it out. After several customer complaints, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, but the same issue keeps reoccurring, and they refuse to help or support us. It has been one problem after another, and they refuse to take any accountability for assisting the customer using their platform. Again, we wanted and tried to make this service work and gave them more than enough chances to help us stay a customer. If SERVICE and quality are essential to you and your customers, you should avoid using Printful by all means necessary. **What problems is Printful solving and how is that benefiting you?** It would allow us to sell merchandise on demand if it worked as described. **Official Response from Printful:** > Hello, Bob! I tried five other vendors and nothing compared--we either had to buy items in bulk or take users to an external website to place orders. Thanks to Printful technology, we now have a custom Bookstore where members can buy our branded swag without leaving our website. Their transactions are recorded in their profiles on our site, and they can choose items they want to have print-on-demand. Take a look at the result. For other vendors, we had to wait for six to nine weeks for bulk orders. Printful had items on my doorstep within a few days. And for things that look longer, they were there within ten days. And each item came with clear tracking notifications, so I knew exactly where the order stood. And the quality, wow. The products are exceptional. Our intricate logo looked great on the gym bag, embroidered shirts, mouse pad, greeting cards, and stickers, and everyone kept commenting on my Columbia fleece vest. Overall, Printful created game-changing technology that exceeds our expectations. Their print-on-demand business model is brilliant, and their products are gorgeous. Thank you, Printful, for all your hard work and commitment to excellence. **What do you dislike about Printful?** Honestly, my biggest lament is that I wish I had known about Printful a year earlier. The printing on the stainless steel didn't keep very well but all the other products were superior. **What problems is Printful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Printful solves three main problems for us: (1) Having to pre-pay bulk orders in hopes members of our association buy them at our annual meeting; (2) Having our members go to some other website to buy our branded products; and (3) Having no way to track our members' purchases. Thanks to Printful's print-on-demand model, our members go to our WordPress website and use our WooCommerce integration to buy branded swag without leaving our website. Our members see a clear history of what they purchased, and the items sync with Quickbooks for our bookkeeping. It's a brilliant system that they've created. ### 41. Please note that it was never our intention to inconvenience you as we provide assistance based on the general information we have. If your store has different plugins, they can affect our plugin as well. We are constantly working on adding new features so you would need to manually resync all products in your store to ensure automatic order flow. ### 43. The problem is that not every customer puts their stuff through the wash within that time frame, and they only find out later about the poor print quality. They told me to look for the order on my own with USPS. Disappointing, It should not be a customer's job to find and deliver their own package. Being a Print-on-demand business, you only print what you sell, so you can have a large library of products in your store. They have a huge library of articles to help you get started. **What do you dislike about Printful?** We didn't make a lot of sales (not Printful's fault, obviously). We made a test with some products in our webstore, and sales were not as good as we thought they'd be. Since we were just doing a test (and our Printful products were not our priority), we stopped using it. However, Printful is a great company and every single one of our customers received a quality product on time. Here are the best traits: - I love that the prices are transparent and easy to see, there is a large variety of products. - The process of creating your product is simple. Adding your art to the template and sizing it to get it right takes a few minutes but then you are set and can use it over and over again. - You can add multiple stores from each platform in one shop (for example I sell abstract art and have another shop that says graphic posters and totes) and I can manage those and my shopify store as well. - Printful integrates with a lot of different platforms, Squarespace, wix, etsy, weebly, etc... - Helpful customer service - Updates when shipping delays occur so you can inform your customers. **What do you dislike about Printful?** The one thing I don't like is once it integrates with Etsy you can accidentally delete your listings. I thought I was cleaning my listings out of Printful to start over fresh and I deleted over 50 Etsy listings with a lot of history. I can get everything I need from one place and the perks are great. They have pretty updated clip art and text tools which means you can do more design options. **What do you dislike about Printful?** So I designed several t shirts, hoodies, and mugs with printful. I was so excited to receive the sample order and start selling them. When I received all of the items in the mail, I was so disappointed. THE PRINT QUALITY WAS HORRIBLE. The words and the color were faded as if someone had washed the product several times. I even compared it to another basic black hoodie with white writing that I got from five below and the comparison was so obvious. I even ordered a different shirt and changed the font to see if that was the issue. Nope, same horrible print quality. Faded color, faded/blurry words. SO DISAPPOINTED! Now I will be looking for a different company to design my products because I refuse to sell someone something that looks cheap and dingy like printful' print quality.
