Price FX provides flexibility of the ecosystem. The tool has a reasonable performance. The Price FX team has usually business oriented mindset of the (including configuration engineers, architects and project managers). Everything is at quite a reasonable cost of design and implementation. Possibility to start as a stand alone solution - as a pilot, which already can deliver a lot of value. It helps to think about pricing processes that the company would like to implement, prepare some kind of draft of them and check how they work out in reality, without major risk or expenditures. Many logics and functionalities are required to be designed from scratch and there are not too many of them being predefined. It is partly due to a large variety of applications in different companies, industry specific processes, but also (relatively low) maturity of the whole CPQ market. I would recommend to use external help (consulting company) to design the best use cases of the tool and draw a very general architecture together with IT team. The Price builder in my view is a glorified excel really and does not really add that much value. Only if this was tracking the changes real time with respect to the data that is sent and providing us with the value add then it would be a great tool . We ahve those recommended price changes in there but we are not calculating the overall ROI from this information which is sad because this would define the entire systems ROI. I really like the flexibility of the tool. How easy to customize the tool based on the organization requirement. Support provided by the Technical Team is outstanding. I like the email notification feature. We use that feature a lot. Its very helpful for the executive to approve the quotes while on the fly. User Management can be more improvised. Its really difficult as an admin to assign User roles and User Groups to the Pricefx user when the count is more than 100 users. UI can be more user friendly. Quote configuration can not be highly customized. There are limitations on adding and renaming columns on the Quote Configurator screen. We also have browser compatibility issue. In our organization, we use internet explorer a lot. Since unity does not support IE, We have to force users to switch to different browser to avoid performance hit.

PriceFx connected very easily to SAP and SalesForce allowing data to be sent between the 3 systems. PriceFx was very quick to implement and the sales team found it very intuitive to use increasing the user adaption speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
