Top Rated PracticeWorks Alternatives
There isn't anything that I like about the program. The clipboard is cute with the little yellow sticky notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything, from the way we have to enter the treatment plans and completed, to the prescriptions, the pan. the fact that they cant check out if we have it up in the back. So dealing with a lot of yelling and attitudes about the forgotten charting modules... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
6 out of 7 Total Reviews for PracticeWorks

Practice Works was the easiest dental software I've ever used. It did not take me long to easily utilize the program. I trained for a few days and found I could navigate the program easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At the time of use, the office I worked at did not use it for charting notes. It was only used to schedule patients and to check in/check out patients. The office used paper charts which leads me to believe it was likely difficult to use when transitioning from paper charts to electronic charts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The essential functions of the program are user-friendly. They can definatley help an office run more smoothly. The software also seems to have less glitches than other programs I have used. The fact that imaging, phones, and scheduling can be streamlined with CS practiceworks fairly simply makes it ideal for practices that use other software to make their practice more efficiant. I wish reports were easier to run and export ALL reports to excel or other programs. Insurance reports are primarily stuck in an old format (which is not user-friendly) and can not be quickly gone through. There is also an error that allows words to print on top of each other. I have not been able to correct that in any formatting of different computers. Another feature that could use an upgrade would be the charting module. It takes a long time to open and takes time to go between the tabs. The new x-ray software has added two additional steps to be able to preview the X-ray. While the image quality is better, it is very cumbersome to try and quick check an X-ray. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a lot of different options / tools that I can use while organizing recall patients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the steps are more complicated than they need to be. Not super user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The quality of the integrated imaging is excellent. The corresponding imaging products are easy to use & care for. Product ingenuity for the functionality of manipulating the images and the ability to use those products for creating outstanding images is heads above other software. The ease of using the software with the integrated products is outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software has a limit of one person accessing a chart or its corresponding records at a time. So the doctor can't be in the chart while the front desk is trying to schedule the patient, or the front desk can not access the insurance while the chart is open without limitations on it. The ledger portion can be difficult to follow in complicated insurance cases. There are also glitches that the company is aware of but don't make the customers aware of until you call in with an issue then they inform you of the need to update the software again. Updating the software is time consuming and glitchy. Contacting customer support is time consuming. In January you can almost forget getting hold of them. If you chose the call back option, it takes them two weeks to call you back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
