Top Rated PowerDMS Alternatives
The automation of a large number of operations that we had previously managed manually has made our burden significantly simpler. Having a single source of data for tracking purposes is quite beneficial! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be quite honest, the sole "negative" in my perspective is that the program occasionally times down when I am really performing a task, such as examining a paper. When you scroll down the page, it doesn't appear to register that you're doing so. That can be aggravating, but on the other hand, I completely understand the security implications of what is being done in this situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Tough question because it's all great. The way that documents are integrated and can be associated with accreditation assessments is awesome. I'm only doing the work once, and proving the accreditation standards with real work in real time. By requiring signatures for all polcies, I know that thjey have been acknowledged, and changes are sent for review quickly, without printing copies for everyone, or relying on email for notification. Training is easy to set up, even faster to duplicate, and can be assigned quickly to users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that PowerDMS has more features than most people will grasp immediatley. It is a very organic experience, and users will exapnd trheir abilites to realy get the most from the product over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel that PowerDMS not only provides a very user-friendly system to be used and to help our Police Department in a number of ways but it also listens to us as users. If we feel like something is needed to be added or changed they listen and do the research on it. They have many different kinds of customers to please and they do a darn good job. Customer service is stellar. They get back to you if they can't fix something immediately and actually follow up to make sure things are working as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish certain parts of the "courses" options could be changed to invisible or visible. and this is me being super picky about something I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perfect for training purposes and pull up information when needed to access policy and procedure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Typing in key word and pop up document that doesn't correlates to what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PowerDMS helps our Dept. of Public Safety & Health stay in compliance with the State. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside is that it doesn't integrate with OpenSesame, which we just purchased for use with another LMS we use enterprise-wide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows for very logical and purposeful organization and outlining of policies or whatever it is being used for. The search by "owner" is really helpful within an organization if you know who owns the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search function is not very user friendly and you still have to sort through many lines of text and documents to find exactly what you are looking for. A more advanced search feature would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use; collaborative tools; reporting tools. HELP and SUPPORT is second to none! What a team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't think of anything I dislike; PowerDMS has yet to disappoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have managed all of our company's documentation through PowerDMS without complications; it is a software as easy to learn as it uses that provides an extremely clean platform. It is as intuitive as it is powerful to share and visualize all documentation, in general, its dashboard. I like the performance we have been able to have for managing documents and having everything from contract formatting to training materials and manuals in one environment. Some specific functions have a bit of a steep learning curve, and it takes a bit longer to learn and take advantage of them, but it is worth every second. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No words exist to adequately explain how infinitely helpful it has been to have our policies and procedures in the palms of our employees hands. The ease of use makes this a highly powerful tool that is only limited by your creativity in how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reporting is somewhat limited, in my opinion. I really haven't found anything that I couldn't find a work around for, or anything that simply modifying how "things have always been done" to fit a better model of best practices didn't solve.
Some of the safety features that are built in to maintain audit trails and preserve integrity can be frustrating, despite the fact that they make sense. The one thing that I have disliked is that I cannot remove a user's signature from a policy if we require them to review and re-sign it for any reason. I either had to create a new version of the document (thus requiring EVERYONE to re-sign) or I had to archive and recreate the user. Also not practical. This is something I wish there were a more practical solution to solve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
