"Actionable Insights Made Easy with PostHog"
What do you like best about PostHog?

PostHog makes it remarkably simple to gain a clear understanding of real user behavior. The session replays and heatmaps offer vivid, visual insights into how users move through the product, allowing us to quickly spot friction points and usability challenges.

The platform is straightforward to implement and requires minimal effort to get started, which has made adoption across our team easy. I also value how effortlessly it tracks user interactions including clicks, page views, form submissions, and custom events all within a single platform.

Thanks to its extensive features and intuitive workflows, we rely on PostHog regularly for both everyday monitoring and more in depth analysis. This powerful blend of usability, comprehensive features, and both qualitative and quantitative insights enables us to make product decisions that are more data driven and actionable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, especially when exploring some of the more advanced features. However, once you get familiar with the platform, it becomes much easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I found PostHog to be very easy to integrate and easy to understand all key metrics for my app."
What do you like best about PostHog?

I was really impressed with how easily I could integrate Posthog into my Nextjs project. The user interface of Posthog is top-notch and it's quite intuitive to navigate through all the features.

One of the main reasons I chose Posthog is because of its extensive features and reasonable pricing. Currently, I am utilizing its Web Analytics and session replay capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

I couldn't find any reason to dislike PostHog. If I come across anything in the future, I will make sure to share it on other social media channels.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PostHog’s All-in-One Analytics and Reliable Feature Flags at Great Value"
What do you like best about PostHog?

PostHog feels like a genuinely “all-in-one” product: analytics, session replay, and feature flag management all in one place, without pushing you into a bunch of separate tools. The value for money is strong - you get a lot of functionality for a reasonable price, so it doesn’t feel like it’s going to bankrupt you as you scale.

What I like most is the feature flag/feature toggle management. It’s flexible enough for real-world use cases, including targeting and conditional rollouts, and it’s been reliable for us so far. On top of that, the API is excellent; being able to manage flags programmatically and pull data has been genuinely useful. Overall, it offers a lot of capability, it’s easy to integrate, and once you’re set up, it’s straightforward to use day to day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

The biggest downside for me is the initial learning curve. On my first use, the UI presented a lot of features all at once, and it felt overwhelming. It took me a while to figure out where everything was, find the features I actually needed, and learn how to use them properly.

That friction mostly disappears once you get familiar with the product - over time it becomes much easier to navigate and operate - but the first impression can still be “too much at once.” Better onboarding, a more guided setup, or clearer feature discovery would help new users ramp up faster. "All-in-One Insights: Analytics, Recordings, Flags, and Experiments in PostHog"
What do you like best about PostHog?

What I like best about PostHog is how it combines multiple tools—product analytics, session recordings, feature flags, and experiments—into one platform. It removes the need to juggle different tools and gives a much clearer picture of user behavior in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

The platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first because of the wide range of features. There’s a learning curve to fully understand and use everything effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Valuable Product Analytics with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about PostHog?

I really appreciate the survey tool and recordings feature in PostHog as a user experience designer and researcher. It's incredibly easy to gather user feedback, which I can then seamlessly integrate into my projects. The survey tool is versatile, allowing me to conduct general NPS surveys or target specific URLs with customizable options for appearance and timing, greatly enhancing its utility. Being able to use surveys to have users sign up for additional interviews further extends its functionality. I also find the recordings feature extremely valuable, as it allows me to observe user interactions and identify areas for user experience improvements, making PostHog an indispensable tool for understanding and enhancing product analytics. What do you dislike about PostHog?

I find the dashboarding and setup in PostHog a bit tricky, making it challenging for our team to ensure data accuracy. Despite the appealing branding and charming hedgehog mascot, the underlying user interface can become quite confusing when all embellishments are removed. Additionally, the initial setup process was not straightforward; it has taken months, and my team is still working on it. This complexity has been a hurdle in our integration workflow. "All-in-One Solution with Rapid Feature Updates"
What do you like best about PostHog?

I really like that PostHog is one platform with so many products, and everything works together, so we don't need 20 platforms and try to connect them. It's an all-in-one solution. Their dynamic dashboard is good and the data handling and pipeline are really good, making room for a lot of custom flows. They ship new features fast, and it was very easy to get started, though it takes some time to fully integrate all features and set up everything in a logical way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

While shipping fast is good, it sometimes feels like products are half finished, and then slows down after they are GA, almost like it becomes too much to maintain. The custom dashboard should be more dynamic and more usable public, with date ranges for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Analytics Tool with Generous Free Plan"
What do you like best about PostHog?

PostHog has all, or almost all, the features needed for user analytics. I particularly appreciate their very generous free plan. It's developer-friendly with good documentation and customer support. The initial setup is pretty easy, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

Sometimes PostHog is quite slow on Chrome; they often do UI redesigns of the app that make it difficult to understand where features are; there are also a lot of features that you can use - so you might get overwhelmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Customizable Analytics, But Frequent Crashes Disrupt Experience"
What do you like best about PostHog?

One of the standout features is the ability to customize our Dashboard to fit our specific software requirements. This flexibility lets us track not only events but also cohorts, and it includes heat maps, which are particularly useful. Another great aspect is that it provides access to all the APIs through SWAGGER. Overall, the platform is highly adaptable, allowing us to tailor analytics to suit our needs.

Once you have done all setup it can be easy to navigate through the platform.

The customer support is extremely helpful and quick in response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

The frequent crashes during loading can be quite irritating at times, and I also receive a large number of incident emails. This makes me think that there are many crashes occurring, although they do seem to get fixed periodically.

For someone who is implementing Analytics first time it can be a little overwhelming as events and all can be a little too much and might not be easy for to integrate for first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch UI/UX and Powerful Session Replay"
What do you like best about PostHog?

The UI and UX of the website is top-notch and it's easy to navigate. The Session Replay feature was easy to implement in the iOS SDK. I also like the amount and depth of features that PostHog offers. We only tried Session Replay for now and it works great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

Implementing Session Replay masking for labels on iOS 26 wasn't that straightforward. I'm aware the iOS SDK mentions buggy behavior because of technical changes in SwiftUI. This is the only problem I faced with PostHog. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Analytics with a User-Friendly Approach"
What do you like best about PostHog?

I use PostHog for my complete product analytics to understand customer interactions like clicks, and it offers a ton of features. It simplifies analytics by handling event processing, allowing us to view data in various forms like charts and diagrams without building them manually. I particularly like PostHog’s product analytics, which tracks everything and serves as a good replacement for Google Analytics, providing all the crucial data without the need for a consent banner. Additionally, the feedback and feature flags make it easy to gather user feedback or ratings. I enjoy the casual, cool style and tone of the team at PostHog; they have jokes and aren't forceful. Also, they provide comprehensive documentation on everything someone might need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostHog?

Nothing so far - it meets my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
