Product Description

Dash is the trusted solution for operationalizing Python and R models and is the fastest way to build interactive analytic apps. Dash empowers data science teams to focus on the data and models, while still producing and deploying enterprise-ready apps. What would typically require a team of back-end developers, front-end developers and IT can all be done with Dash.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Dash apps are written in Python, the lingua franca of data science, machine learning, and AI, allowing them to visualize complex, unstructured data. While traditional visualization tools like Excel or Tableau connect to a database, Dash allows data scientists and analysts to visualize data directly from Python and R.

With the data pipeline simplified, Dash users can create rich, reactive analytics applications that can update in real time, in the browser -- empowering data scientists to quickly execute what historically has been a complex and expensive collaboration between back- and front-end, design, and data analysis teams.

Along with the simplified process of building, designing, deploying, and securely managing data-driven applications, Dash allows you to generate and store point-in-time reports as an interactive web view and printable PDF allowing for valuable information to be shared throughout your organization.

What do you like best about Dash?

I absolutely adore how user-friendly Dash is! It's so easy to get the hang of it and start creating interactive web apps. The fact that it's built on top of Python means I can use all the Python skills I already have, which is a huge plus. The visualizations are top-notch, and updating the data in real-time feels like magic. It's been a game-changer for sharing insights with my team. Plus, the community around Dash is super helpful whenever I run into a snag. Definitely a tool I'd recommend to anyone in data science. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dash?

While I enjoy using Dash, I do find that the layout can be a bit restrictive at times. It's not always straightforward to achieve the exact look I want for my web apps, especially when I'm aiming for a very specific design. Also, when the apps start to get more complex, the performance can take a hit, which can be a bit frustrating. I've noticed it's not as optimized for mobile views right out of the box, so I have to put in extra effort to make my apps work smoothly on different devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dash has been a lifesaver when it comes to visualizing data and sharing insights with my team. It's solved the headache of having to manually update charts and graphs for presentations. Now, I can build interactive tools that let my teammates explore the data themselves, which is so much more engaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dash?

Plotly Dash is by far the best and easiest way to create front-end web dashboards in Python. It is built on top of Flask (Python-based web server) as its back-end and React (Javascript-based framework) as its front-end. It uses a "component" based model that is intuitive and easy to pick up. Documentation is outstanding and there are many examples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dash?

Plotly Dash is a bit "bulky" and as such is a bit slow - renders of graphs with a lot of data can take a few seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?

Plotly Dash provides web dashboards QC and Business Intelligence analytics for our company. It allows us to build these web dashboards without having to spend months designing a front-end and without having to hire a Software Engineer - time and money saved! The intuitive framework allows novice web developers to create complex visualizations with familiar libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dash?

Plotly interactive charts rock. Flask integration is great. The charts are beautiful, and using Dash Bootstrap Components makes styling the user interface super-easy. Not having to learn JavaScript and React is incredible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dash?

Honestly, it's really awesome. There's really nothing bad I have to say about it. I would prefer if it were structured as a Flask extension since it's built on Flask, but that's about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dash?

Possibility to create interactive plots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dash?

At least first it is not very intuitive that how to make large apps with Dash; how to organize your code (components, views, callbacks, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dash solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) Creating an interface to laboratory setup that collects data, makes some calculations and visualizes the results

2) Creating an internal webservice where user can upload data and gets some output.

It is generally quite easy to create a GUI that works in browser just by using python (Dash). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
