What do you like best about Plivo?

Their interface is relatively easy to understand. The hat's off to the developer who built it. Price is comparatively cheaper for buying numbers, and the PHLO application builder is straightforward and helpful for building any application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plivo?

They still don't provide messaging services to Australia. Support is good, but it's hard to reach them as there is no instant chat support; you have to raise a ticket and wait for the reply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rapid and easy transition to Plivo saved us when Covid hit"

What do you like best about Plivo?

Plivo services are easy to implement and they are very reliable. Our interviewers report great call clarity across the country. We can move interviews from phone to text to the internet easily. When Covid hit and our facilities were closed, we made a very rapid and very easy transition to at home work for our interviewers. Because of Plivo we were able to have the interviewers calling within days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plivo?

Plivo upgraded its api and we were not aware that the legacy version was ending. That said, the transition to the new version was very easy. This was more of a communication problem and it may have been on our end as we have found very little to dislike about Plivo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Plivo:

Plivo was recommended by a consultant and the services provided by Plivo have lived up to and exceeded the recommendation. It works for our needs and that allows us to focus on getting our work done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Plivo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved an in-house call center to a virtual call center within days after the pandemic hit. We had no interruption in our services. The greatest benefit is sample and callback control. Also, Plivo has added features that are extremely useful. Plivo's number look up is very helpful to the interviewers to determine the type of line they are calling. What do you like best about Plivo?

Overall I have only good things to say:

- Was really easy to setup at start, took all of a few minutes

- Since then it's taken close to zero work to maintain overall

What do you dislike about Plivo?

Nothing to date, everything has been very smooth. Haven't found anything yet to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Plivo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Plivo for notifying our users in real time. Previously our users received emails but many of them got ignored, especially during escalation situations. Being able to notify users no matter where they are without needing them to download an app has been great for getting users to take action sooner. "Straightforward and works"

What do you like best about Plivo?

We use it to send SMS (outgoing only). This is a fairly simple usecase but everything works as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plivo?

I couldn't make multiple Plivo accounts for testing without also having multiple credit cards. I think in general the product is not good from a testing perspective.

"Easy integration, set it and forget it"

What do you like best about Plivo?

I was using Twilio for sending SMS notifications to my SAAS users, but their costs were higher in most countries, so three years ago I tried Plivo as an alternative. With the overall workflow already in place, it was easy to add the Plivo code in place of the Twilio code. I haven't had any problems and little need to interact with the company since then -- it just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Get Started Right Away"

What do you like best about Plivo?

I'm not a programmer, but even I am able to set up and text, call and have autopay, and replenish set up with Plivo. My programmer was able to help create the Automation to our new website in under a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plivo?

On the downside, you do need a programmer to really get this up and running. However, if you outsource your IT, they should be able to create a working system using plivo relatively quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
