What I like most about Plivo is the simplicity. You set it up quickly, it runs stably, and you don't have to constantly deal with it – that's exactly how I like it.

If I had to name something, then perhaps that some settings are a bit hidden. Otherwise, I am really satisfied with Plivo.

I find Plivo's setup process straightforward with comprehensive guides that make it easy to get started. I appreciate how it automates the calling process, significantly reducing manual labor and improving efficiency, especially during webinars. The integration with the 11 Labs Wise API is crucial for me, solving a lot of voice API challenges. I would definitely consider using it again.

I would want to make it easier for people with noncoding experience, and the user interface can be a little better.

Not a whole lot. Works partially. Pricing is decent compared to alternatives.

Avoid this company at all costs. They will deactivate your account without any advance warning, and refuse to provide the reason.

This is not counting general issues with the platform, service and support.

**What do you like best about Plivo?**

What I appreciate most about Plivo is its combination of technical reliability and excellent support. The API is intuitive and well-documented, which made our integration easier. When questions arose, their support team responded quickly with practical solutions, not generic answers.

The administration panel could be more intuitive in some sections. Sometimes finding certain advanced settings requires some exploration. I would also like to see more customization options in the analytical reports, although the current functions cover our basic needs.

Plivo helped us centralize our communications with international clients, eliminating the need for multiple regional providers. **What do you like best about Plivo?**

Plivo offers essentially the same service at half the price as their competitors (at the time of my switch). Good logs and transparency for SMS and customer support has been reachable for me when diagnosing reasons for some SMS messages not going through. Good SDK for implementation (I use Python but am just using the REST API for my implementation, it's been great). I don't recall any downtime for the features I use in the six years that I have been a customer of Plivo which is pretty fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

At first I didn't think the success rates were as good as my setup on a competitor, HOWEVER after some tweaks on my account with support (they even helped me choose a good area code to send my texts), and helping my SMS messages stay compliant, success rates have become close to 100%.

**Recommendations to others considering Plivo:**

Very good SMS provider, great SDK, easy to implement and manage. The admin panel has received several updates while I have been a customer and is getting easier to use. It's clear they keep maintaining and working on things. I don't think I have experienced any downtime in the three years that I have been a customer.

**What problems is Plivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run a SaaS website where users can setup text message reminders to themselves and other people they know.

**What do you like best about Plivo?**

I tend to be a customer who only needs to meet when there is an issue.  Plivo is graciously respectful of this preference.  But, more to the point, Plivo is very responsive when I do need help. I've work with our current account representative for a few years now and he is well-education on our use case, our compliance practices, and our commitment to maintaining the viability of text messaging as a communication channel for our member-base outreach.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

The UI could use some work.  I find it un-intuitive.  Also, search filtering on site.  If I search for a set of calls and click into an individual result, I don't want to have to re-run the search when I return to the results.

The company I work for relies on SMS as a key communication channel with our members and Plivo helps us keep that channel alive and healthy.

Our integration received excellent and timely support from the Plivo team, which enabled us to scale it threefold, with nearly zero failures.

Although some custom use cases weren’t initially supported by the current product, we greatly appreciate how quickly the Plivo team understood our requirements and built the features we needed.

We didn't encounter any negatives. They offer highly competitive pricing, and their team is eager to understand customer use cases and find ways to provide tailored solutions.

Plivo is helping us connect customers, riders, and support agents for our food delivery use case. In fast-paced delivery scenarios, timely and high-quality connections between all parties are crucial, and Plivo has been a game changer in this regard.

Plivo has been a highly reliable platform for our SMS and voice needs. Implementation was easy and smooth, and we seamlessly integrated its features into our services. Over the years, we've had little to no issues and remain very happy with our choice.

Plivo previously offered a direct line to customer service, which was removed a few years ago. Nowadays, the only way to reach support is through tickets, which can be frustrating when urgent issues arise.

We rely on Plivo to call and text end users who use our service daily. Without it, a vast network of livery companies—including over 1,000 taxis and limousines—would face major disruptions, creating significant challenges for the companies that serve Canada’s most important airport.

**What do you like best about Plivo?**

The customer service is by far the best quality of plivo/what makes them stand out. Specifically our 10DLC verification process was a MILLION times better than working with Twilio and we are forever grateful to Plivo for that. Other than that, the platform has been easy for our developers to use and straight forward. All of our use cases have been easily covered at a reasonable price.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

We have used them for a while. When we first started using them it was out of necessity since we were seeing horrible delivery rates with Twilio out of nowhere and horrible customer service from Twilio (7 week response time on emails). Plivo had far better customer service/much smoother onboarding experience but some of the features felt a bit clunky in the portal/too basic. However, over the years they have built out the feature set quite a bit.

Plivo allows us to send sms messages across the globe with very little development uplift. Implementation was really easy for our developers and the Plivo support team was extremely helpful around our 10DLC verification process.

Plivo has the best pricing for local phone numbers and automation. Their platform is robust and easy to use. It is easy to set up workflows to create multiple campaigns and track data granularly. The process of setting up new numbers and marketing campaigns is very easy. Our agency has been an active user for the past four years and they are one of the main keys that have allowed us to grow and measure KPI's in a tactical way.

Like the understandable api, like the customer service that responds instantly to my inquiries. But the most I like the prices and the login conversion percentage the best!

Plivo works well for our business for our SMS needs and allows for easy access to more phone numbers as needed. We do lots of SMS volume and rarely have issues.

The support team could be faster/more helpful. Not sure if it's a tech limitation, but being able to pull SMS logs with the message within the csv would be in certain contexts.

**What do you like best about Plivo?**

I’ve been really impressed with Plivo because it seems reliable and has a global reach. I’ve used your APIs to integrate voice and SMS features into my app, and they’re quite easy to work with. The call quality is better than your competitors I must say.  Also, I’ve never had any issues with scalability. One time, I needed to talk to your customer support and the experience was surprisingly better than what I had imagined at the time.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

While I’ve generally been satisfied with Plivo, I’ve encountered a few hiccups. I’ve found the customization options for call routing to be somewhat limited, and it took me a while to get used to the API. Additionally, there was one instance where I experienced a brief service outage, which caused some disruptions to my application.

For the most part, my relationship with Plivo has been good. They have always been courteous, and do follow up to try and make sure everything is good.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

Efficiency. There are times when there's a support issue, and the time it takes is far too long. I rent a lot of phone numbers, and by way of my clients, a lot of SMS are sent. My clients are real people, and simply sending texts to people they already know and have a personal relationship with. Sometimes, some of these numbers will get flagged as spam due to the carriers filters. At times, my clients will ask for a ticket to be submitted to get the issue resolved, as there is exactly 0% of the messages being sent that are spam. There have been times that it has taken over a week to get resolved. This time is critical for my business since my clients are not able to communicate with the family or friends during the period of waiting. My clients do not know what is going on, they simply start getting frustrated with us thinking we are the issue, and we are taking too long. So that becomes a situation where we usually have to comp some extra service time fo rour clients, which of course in the bigger picture costs my company money, and occasinally the loss of clients.

They solve the barrier that my clients face with the ability to communicate freely with their family and loved ones.

Plivo is a pretty easy platform to understand, especially with a background of working at a SaaS company. Plivo is our chosen SMS provider for our advocate/supporter activation texts - I haven't had any need to reach out to support, though, so I can't comment on their customer service level.

Similarly to most SaaS softwares, there are SO many ways to do the same thing. This isn't necessarily a 'dislike' but it was the one thing that confused me when learning the platform.

Plivo solves a huge need for the customers that rely on our software, allowing them to seamlessly integrate their SMS campaigns with all of their other campaigns. Although most of our users don't know that it's Plivo solving the issue, so it's a win-win for both softwares.

**What do you like best about Plivo?**

Plivo HAD incredible support that was extremely helpful. No more. 

We've had 'unauthorized access' issues three times on two different accounts and had expensive credit card charges from auto-loading on our account that they refuse to refund. They claim to have alarms for out-of-the-ordinary increases in messaging; they don't. 4000% increase in messages in one day - I think that is the definition of "out of the ordinary". They claim that the security of their system is high; it's not. 

In all circumstances, it took weeks and, in one case, MONTHS to try to get to the bottom of the issue. Ultimately, they had no answer and kept denting any issue. They blame the customer. 

They claim we did something wrong and send us a list of 'security measures' we should have taken. All of which we already followed. Change keys and auth regularly, use 2FA, turn off unnecessary services, etc., etc., etc. 

They never did explain how the breach happened; instead, they say they tracked down an IP address and then gave us the IP we use to access our account?! Thousands of messages were sent from our account using numbers we didn't even have - but they still refused to refund! 

Strongly suggest that if you use them, turn OFF the autoload feature for payment. If you don't, you can expect a breach to happen at some point and they will not refund the charges.

**What do you dislike about Plivo?**

Things changed with them. They used to be responsive and helpful; they are no longer. Support is overseas now, and they simply 'client blame' all issues. They can't tell where a breach comes from when it happens - and it will.

Wish we had changed providers after the first breach; it would have saved us a lot of time and headaches.

None any longer.

In our experience, Twilio offers the same quality of service but with more options.

This review is more of a plea to Plivo to care more for their customers than asking for G2 reviews.

Unfortunately, their support is the worst we've seen. We gave their team weeks to help solve our issue. However, they let us down. But worst, they let our client down.

Also, after trying to explain what happened, their company never reached back with an explanation or apology.

That's why we thought others should know.

Here is the irony. Plivo constantly asks for G2 reviews. If they hadn't, we would have let it go.

It also makes me question the validity of rating systems like G2. Is it helpful, or is it a disguised marketing ploy? That's up to you to decide.

Update: Support did finally resolve my issue. Many thanks to the support rep that got this fixed!

I've been a Plivo customer since 2014 with two other companies. I tried to sign up for a new account and my mobile number was already associated with one of my old accounts at a previous company. No problem, I just need them to delete my number from my old account so I can sign up for a new account. It's been TWO WEEKS of asking support for help on this and it's always "what was your old account?" followed by "we're looking into it" followed by silence. Their support team no longer seems to have the capacity (or maybe they just don't care) to help customers new or old. I strongly suggest everyone avoid Plivo until they can figure out how to provide even basic support to their customers.

I like the simplicity. Plivo has a lot of docs, integration libraries and ways to use in business and life scenarios. And this makes it awesome tool for everyday tasks (like call forwarding)  and for real business cases (like complex ivrs and so on)

It not related to Plivo, but sometimes there are issues with sms A numbers, ability to change call A numbers, but it's all about call providers, and service cannot be responsible for that. Btw Plivo tries to resolve such issues as soon as possible. And (as a wish) I would like to see mobile friendly layout of their website someday )

As I said Plivo hepls me resolve life and business cases. The main non-business case is a call and sms forwarding. My family travels a lot, so I have a phone, which always travelling with me, I just update phlo app with my current local number. As a business use case I use it for IVR and different cases which require app initiated calls (like phone verification and so on)
