**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Pin Point is arguably one of the most customisable platforms I’ve used as a Talent Manager. The ability to set up (and edit) workflows for a range of different roles has been super helpful when rolling out new processes and ways of working across the business.

It feels like Pin Point understands how the TM/TA world works, and they’ve built in practical “workarounds” for situations where something doesn’t quite fit. Whenever I’ve run into an issue, the customer support team has always come back to me quickly, which makes it that little bit easier to keep things moving at speed.

I’d happily recommend this product to others in the TM/TA world, and it’s my go-to application every single day.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Honestly, so far I haven’t found anything I dislike about the system at this stage. Any time I’ve run into a snag, the team has been there to support me within an hour of my request (UK).

The only frustration I have found is the need to contact my CSM when some new functionalities come out / there being a cost involved or a paywall. Albeit this doesn't happen a lot.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest issues facing TA teams at the moment is just how saturated the market is.

PinPoint offers a really easy-to-use system for workflows and database management, helping ensure that all candidates coming through the process are treated in the best way. The workflows and automations have helped ten-fold.

It’s also been amazing to use the new AI workflows. The integrations with tools such as AssessFirst, along with the new intake note system, are exactly what we’ve been looking for.

  ### 2. Powerful automations, but missing key ATS basics and a flexible onboarding module

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

The branching conditions in automations is a feature I could not find with any other ATS, and it's a key feature for our instructor hiring process.  The breadth of available automations is also helpful.  The overall look of the emails, interview invitations, and other outward communications is clean and professional.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

There are a handful of seemingly obvious functionalities that are missing, including:
- The hiring manager being able to view all outstanding tasks assigned to all team members
- The ability to set one-off availability for interview (right now, one can only set for checking against Outlook EVERY Monday, Tuesday, etc rather than just next Monday, which is problematic when team members take vacations during an extended hiring period).
- The ability for an automatically progressed candidate to trigger automations on their new workflow stage.
- The ability to set automations before publishing a job.
- Universal candidate search from the home screen (requires multiple clicks to candidate, then applications, then specific application)

We also tried using the onboarding module last year, but we ditched it this year because it was far too rigid and didn't allow us to change or personalize the process at all once a candidate was in the module.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple pathways through training and run a volume hiring process for part-time instructors every fall, so Pinpoint's branching conditions and breadth of automations should theoretically simplify our process and make it more efficient.  In our first year last year, that was unfortunately not the case due to a myriad of frustrations with the onboarding module, and setting up our new process outside of that module has been extremely time-consuming, which is why I characterize the solution as currently being theoretical.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Pinpoint is very dynamic and adaptable, their usage of AI technology and quickness in adapting their software to the ever changing and developing scope of this has been commendable, as they seem to be doing this in an ethical and pragmatic way. The user interface is really easy to use and navigate. The system has been second to non in moving us from a manual process to an automated one, improving our recruitment process.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Very little we dislike about the system, improvements that could be made are around overaching dashboards to check status on checks such as references and right to work.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining volume of applications, ensuring candidates are still acknowledged, have a good experience etc but now no manual onus on HR to implement this. The AI matchscore filter has been extremely helpful with high volume shortlisting. Automations such as rejections based on questions we are asking in applications has also helped our effiency 10 fold.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Having used Pinpoint for over 18 months now, I can honestly say it is the best ATS I have ever come across during my 20 years in recruitment.  The level of support and service that was provided throughout the selection and implementation process was outstanding, and our Customer Success Specialist, Rachel Larkin was fantastic.  The system itself is highly configurable, easy to use and has excellent functionality that really streamlines our recruitment process and improves the candidate experience.  The customer support is second to none and I can't recommend Pinpoint highly enough.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

I have not experienced any downsides to Pinpoint. The one improvement that would be helpful would be to be able to manually adjust approval workflows after they were assigned.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system has significantly streamlined our recruitment process and improves the candidate experience.  The reporting functionality will be greatly beneficial to our business and the onboarding portal creates a great first impression with new employees.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

It’s easy to use for collaboration across global hiring teams, and it scales quickly as our needs grow. I also appreciate that the company listens—really listens—to its customers and takes feedback seriously.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

It’s difficult to understand where bug fixes are in the process, and projects tend to stall without clear deadlines. I’d like more communication and forward movement on timelines and projects so I don’t have to constantly drive them and follow up. It would also be helpful to have a dashboard (on Notion …and it’s cumbersome) that’s actively maintained, so I can easily see what’s being worked on instead of having to chase updates. Delays or stalls are okay, but please communicate them clearly.

Having a great partner in Sam Laino and Paul Simpson is making all the difference.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

I use Pinpoint for reporting globally to our stakeholders and CEOs. I like the quick and easy analysis of data and how it provides easier understanding of our TA data. What I enjoy most about Pinpoint is the user experience; it's a clean platform and really easy to use. It helps create a simple solution and makes navigating around the system straightforward—I know where I need to go with just a click of a few buttons. The initial setup and integration were simple, especially with the great customer support team who helped with questions around reports and API.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

I've had some issues with reporting and sizes of data files, but also I think linking different reports together could be better. The API does seem hard to use, and you feel like you are going round in roundabouts trying to get the correct data.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

It’s been a massive upgrade compared to other ATS systems I’ve used. I really like the automation features, especially being able to build out custom workflows that streamline the entire hiring process.

I also like that everything lives in one place, which makes it much easier to stay organised and keep track of candidates, communication, and progress without having to switch between different tools.

Another big plus is how easy it is to get hiring teams to adopt and start using it. The interface is straightforward, so people pick it up quickly without needing a lot of training.

Overall, it feels much more efficient and user-friendly, and it has made our recruitment process a lot smoother and more structured.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

I would like for interviews to be transcribed, and perhaps AI cv ranking based on match to the role

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Pinpoint is a complex yet well-designed application tracking system made for vast or small recruitment streams. Meaning, it is designed to manage any number of applicants, and you can rest assured that they will receive a smooth recruitment process.

Definitely a high praise to their account management team, who take care of their clients – they actually care, listen, and try to help as much as possible. They schedule monthly calls to check in with their clients and introduce them to the newest developments.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

While Pinpoint is a well-designed application tracking system, it has its flaws. If there is a minor yet significant technical issue in the pipeline, automation, or data report, it takes them a considerable amount of time to resolve it. Big issues – immediate resolution – but small ones are often left unsolved until they have become bigger to be noticed.

For our team, the data and insight overview is the most important thing. Second – organised and easy to manage communication with the candidates. Pinpoint provides us with enough tools and automations to fulfill our needs.

self-scheduling is the main thing, it has saved our talent function a lot of time

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

the template setting process is very manual and repetitive. i think pinpoint is definitely better suited for larger organisations/orgs with higher hiring (lol) needs. when we are running recruitment for a role, which is really only a handful of times a year, i find myself getting stuck because a certain stage doesnt have a template, but that template doesn't exist, so i need to make a new one, then assign it, etc etc. i think it can get very long very quickly, and there could be an easier, smoother way of assigning stages than the flow at the moment. i also find the interface gets very stale after a while. there is just a lot of info at all times. this is rambling a bit!

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the time spent on manually aligning for interview slots is a hell i'd never subject myself to.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

I like that Pinpoint offers a great balance between cost and capabilities, allowing us to host our own jobs. The interface is manageable for both a company and an individual, even without a large recruiting team. The automation features in Pinpoint provide valuable support, making processes less complex and more manageable. I appreciate how it streamlines our workflow, such as processing applications, queuing, evaluating resumes, and moving applicants through a defined process with built-in guardrails. This greatly improves efficiency compared to our previous manual processes with SharePoint and calendar invites.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Our biggest challenge right now is that we do not have our calendar successfully linked to the scheduling interface. This is a major pain, but we think it's because of new security policies on our calendars that is blocking that, and it's something we would have to resolve internally. I also think that it takes a lot of clicks to reject a candidate; I wish there was a one-click reject feature that would file them as underqualified, tag them based on the stage, and send a pre-selected email.

I use Pinpoint to manage our hiring process efficiently, from job postings and resume reviews to interviews, automating tasks that were cumbersome manually. It balances cost and capability and provides a user-friendly interface suitable for teams without large recruiting resources.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

I find the automations in Pinpoint to be a real superpower, as they are massive time savers for hiring teams and improve the candidate experience by increasing communication frequency and clarity. The AI features are great too, helping my team with candidate prioritization. I'm excited about testing out the new MCP connector as well. The built-in support chat is amazing and a game changer, ensuring my team can get support quickly in real time instead of sending in a support ticket. Also, the initial setup of Pinpoint was very easy.

Some of the UX could be improved, the information density is low, and as a result it makes the user scroll more than I'd like.

Automations have saved us a lot of time and helped us focus on the right candidates for our roles. The features that let us customise our workflows have been especially useful, and they’ve made our process feel much more streamlined. The new AI features are also a great tool for generating quick replies to emails when we need to respond fast.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

When adding a role across multiple locations, both internal and external employees have found it difficult to establish the correct links for sending referrals. Tag management is also frustrating: not being able to move or edit tags without deleting them and having to start again makes the process unnecessarily difficult.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have a centralised requisition process, which we didn’t have before. The data is improved, but I’d like to be able to export the insights and graphs as well.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

I use Pinpoint for our ATS, and it's integral in reducing the admin tasks we have to do around each job and interviews. The automations and workflows allow us to have minimal admin by automating the booking of interviews and moving candidates between stages. The pre-onboarding portal is fantastic, enabling us to have a 100% sign-start ratio over the past 3.5 years, which is huge for us. We can keep in touch with new starters even with a three-month notice period. Their development teams are great—they listen to our issues and improvements and implement them in their roadmap. The implementation team was excellent, guiding us through the setup and providing extensive training, making the process quick and easy to upload candidates. I also appreciate how Pinpoint integrates with Zinc for background checking and Power Automate.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Nothing at the moment

Pinpoint reduces admin tasks around job applications and interviews by automating workflows. It supports seamless candidate movement between stages and provides a pre-onboarding portal, ensuring a 100% sign-start ratio and effective communication with new hires during notice periods.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Pinpoint is a fantastic ATS, the UI and UX is second to none. One of the main reasons we went with Pinpoint is because it was so user friendly, a great price and also came with the onboarding portal included which has revolutionised our onboarding journey for our candidates who previously were having to print their contracts to sign.

We have integrated our ATS also with our HR system making onboarding new employees into the system so much quicker!

The teams are all incredible offering friendly support and solutions which make the system consistently better including the AI fields which has helped myself, the sole person responsible for recruitment, able to prioritise the best candidates.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

The only thing I would like to see within the system is a chatbot for candidates on our careers page so they can get answers to any questions quickly or come through to myself on a live chat.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to edit and update our templates such as job adverts and interview confirmations which our previous system did not allow. We were spending so much time requesting changes and having to pay the old ATS provider whereas Pinpoint is so easy to update and amend your own templates.

We also had a very clunky onboarding process where our candidates had to print their contracts to sign them. A lot of our candidates are within Operations in Warehouses and don't have access to printers and so we did lose people for it being too difficult for them to print the contracts off whereas now they can sign even via their mobiles.

Pinpoint is solving a lot of the manual, time-consuming parts of hiring—especially screening, scheduling, and candidate communication. With AI support, it helps quickly identify the most relevant candidates and automate early-stage decisions, which reduces admin and speeds up the process.

For me, that means I can spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time focusing on candidate experience and making better hiring decisions. It also improves consistency and reduces bias through more structured, data-led hiring.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

I use Pinpoint for supporting recruitment for the FIFA World Cup 2026. I find the platform's simplicity really beneficial, especially for a large, fast-growing organization like ours. The user interface is easy for our many hiring managers to quickly learn and use, which significantly reduces the time needed to train them on the tool. This ease maximizes our focus on recruitment rather than extensive training. Additionally, having guides and easy access to the support team for troubleshooting issues is a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Given Pinpoint is a growing, fairly new tool, it does take some time to set up new features or does require many touchpoints with the team to get features added that would be helpful for our higher volumes. For instance, manually adding hundreds of jobs one by one into the platform. Our organization also required many specific settings or fields to be added to our jobs due to the many details we need to include in roles for reporting and offer letters.

I use Pinpoint to streamline our recruitment process by providing a platform to collect, review, and hire applicants efficiently. Its user-friendly interface reduces training time for hiring managers, allowing us to focus on recruitment rather than extensive training.

I really like that Pinpoint is very user-friendly and easy to use. The platform is also very smooth, making it accessible for anyone, even if they don't have prior knowledge about it. The entire design makes it easy to handle, which is great for freshers too. Pinpoint allows us to manage our daily activities and talent acquisition smoothly, so there's no need to switch to another product. I use Pinpoint for every step of the applicant tracking process. The aspect that I like most about Pinpoint is the friendly user interface, which makes it a straightforward process for reviewing and scheduling applicants for positions. The friendly user interface has made processes much easier as it makes it so Pinpoint does not feel cluttered and I can find the pipelines, roles, and applications that I am looking for more efficiently. I also like that there is live help from the Pinpoint team when it is necessary. The live Pinpoint team has also been helpful if I ever have questions or on the off chance that something has not worked. The Pinpoint team is quick to assist with what is needed from the user. As long as I have used Pinpoint, it has worked very well and efficiently. From my use of the platform, it has been very efficient when it comes to adding and transferring information across the platform. I am very likely to recommend Pinpoint due to its features and ease of use.

Onboarding has been a struggle to get right - we've tried to automate it as much as possible but it still isn't quite right. 

When sifting through CVs using the queue function. It can be annoying when you lose the place and you have to go through them all again. This could be user error

I like that Pinpoint is much more user-friendly than other ATS systems. I also appreciate that the Pinpoint team answers any questions quickly via chat. Additionally, I really like Pinpoints interview scheduling feature! Once a hiring team's calendar is submitted, it allows for faster interview scheduling, as candidates can see open times on the team's calendar to schedule an interview, saving our recruitment team hours of time. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, thanks to our account manager who was very helpful and provided lots of live training and a written training manuals.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

We're not able to pull certain reporting information that hiring teams would find useful to have.

Submitting a hiring team's calendar with Pinpoint speeds up interview scheduling, saving our recruitment team hours.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

Easy to configure and set up - implementation was a breeze. Straightforward to use - very intuitive - new users need little training on the day-to-day functionality. Allows me to manage and process candidates easily even when volumes are high. It's reliable - there is never any outage or downtime. The connected careers site managed from within the back end allows me to update my own website with new content whenever I want, making it much easier to keep it fresh and current than if I used an externally maintained website. The support team are generally excellent - prompt, helpful and knowledgeable. It is competitively priced especially for a small business.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Very little. There are a couple of minor UX improvements that would help but overall there is nothing major I don't like.

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a solo Talent Acquisition practitioner I need to spend my time on sourcing and candidate management, not admin. But without a team to support me it would be easy to get dragged down into the weeds and spend time on task work rather than value adding work. Pinpoint helps me to streamline my process and spend as little time as possible on admin tasks, freeing up time for the more important aspects of my role. It gives me the time to give candidates the personalised recruitment experiences that help differentiate us from our competitors.

**What do you like best about Pinpoint?**

The platform is extremely user friendly and the support function and team are the best I’ve experienced in the industry. They respond quickly and take on feedback, which sometimes even leads to product development.

Pinpoint started hosting spotlight webinars in 2025 to showcase development plans and roadmaps, and I’ve found these sessions both informative and genuinely valuable.

I inherited the platform from a previous team and had the option to move providers, but I’m happy to say Pinpoint hasn’t given me a reason to. Our Account Manager, the support desk, and the overall user experience have been excellent from the start.

The system architecture is strong and flexible. Our business is large and complex, with regular restructures across multiple divisions, and this tool enables me to support changing business demand in a practical, adaptable way.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

Pinpoint has been risk adverse in terms of AI adoption, I understand why but feel other platforms are a little further along their AI journey.

The notifications are super helpful as they keep me updated in real time regarding correspondence that needs attention. Additionally, I find it great that I can re-book interviews and involve colleagues in roles to assist with the interview process. The initial setup was easy, and overall, it's very helpful for organizing recruiting processes.

I think when we set a timeframe for a role to be advertised, and that role closes, we are prevented from creating sharing links. I would have prefered if that was an option that stayed accessible regardless of the status of the role.

I like how Pinpoint streamlines the application and interview processes for our candidates and participants. The anonymization tools are great, aligning with our DEIJ commitments and helping to create an equitable hiring process. Pinpoint offers templates that create efficiencies for different hiring managers, and the scorecards help assess candidates while removing as much bias as possible. The ability to queue candidates for review and use scorecards are two huge highlights for me. Plus, I love that we're able to run different departments a little differently, which is really nice. Support has been super helpful in customizing things to remove roadblocks and resolve issues.

The only lingering issue we're facing is that hiring managers can view all scorecards. We would prefer to have this visibility limited to only HR as a bias reduction technique. Support has heard our concerns and our understanding is that this is with engineering for consideration.

Learning a new platform and its functionalities was quite difficult and time-consuming, although the assistance from a customer success manager helped mitigate these challenges.

We have been using PinPoint for just over 3 years and have had a fantastic experience from the very beginning. The implementation of both the ATS and onboarding modules was easy and smooth. The system is incredibly intuitive, everything is exactly where you'd expect it to be, and the functions are logical and easy to use.

The clean, user-friendly interface has made it easy to roll out to hiring managers, and giving them the right level of access is simple and straightforward. One of the standout aspects has been the support we've received as our account manager and the wider support team have been brilliant. Responses to queries are usually received within minutes, and the guides provided are clear and easy to follow.

The system is continuously improving, with helpful updates that genuinely add value. The onboarding module, in particular, has transformed our process, allowing us to go completely paperless and offering a smooth, seamless experience for new hires.

Overall, Pinpoint has made it easy to keep everything in one place and improved both the candidate and hiring manager experience.

**What do you dislike about Pinpoint?**

A downside for us is that we are unable to send candidates from the onboarding portal to our HRIS system (Cezanne).

**What problems is Pinpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pinpoint has significantly reduced the administrative burden involved in recruitment. Tasks that used to take considerable time such as posting jobs across multiple platforms, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews, are now streamlined and much more manageable.

Having everything related to a candidate in one centralised place is a huge benefit. It means we can easily view CVs, read comments, track communications, and manage the entire process without needing to dig through emails or separate systems. It also makes it easy to involve hiring managers as they can log on and get an update on their vacancy at any time. 

We’ve also found it really helpful to be able to add external recruiters to roles and track candidate history, so we know if someone has applied before and where they came from. This transparency helps us make informed decisions and manage relationships more effectively.

Pinpoint also supports GDPR compliance by removing the need to email or print personal data. All candidate information is securely contained within the system, helping us protect data and manage access responsibly.

Sometimes the changes can come on rather suddenly and I have to relearn some things but its never been a big issue. When it goes down its frustrating because we are so dependent on it, but it doesn't happen often!
I really dont like the automatic feature where if I move someone over it will automatically book someone for an interview. I had nothing but problems with this and it would never book a zoom meeting and I ran into so many issues I had to stop using it. Plus, I like being able to review over things before I commit to fully booking someone.

I love the level of customization within Pinpoint. Its all incredibly organized and easy to navigate. In the rare instance that I find myself stuck on something, they have many many helpful guides to assist.

I do wish some of the reporting features were more customizable. Sometimes the reporting module can be complicated or limited.

Pinpoint very quickly solved our scheduling problems. Before, we were doing everything via outlook email...which wasn't the most efficient. Scheduling interviews became convoluted and chaotic. But with Pinpoint, having our calendars connected to the platform and letting candidates schedule their own interviews has been such a blessing.
