It has helped me tremendously time-wise with my client notes. **What do you dislike about Phrase Express?** I honestly can't think of anything. It's such a great product! **What problems is Phrase Express solving and how is that benefiting you?** It saves me A LOT of time with my client notes. I'm able to create and save endless phrases then add them to my notes with a key word that I create. It's really fantastic! ### 2. Buggy, no support **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Taz M. | Customer Service, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022 **What do you like best about Phrase Express?** - Quick to setup and use - Also quick to post the snippets unlike some competition which has delays that cause you to pause while they work - Mostly intuitive to use for basic text expansion functionality - Ability to share a library **What do you dislike about Phrase Express?** - Constant bugs (over 5 years of usage on and off) that move the cursor within some webpages and software which means 1 sentence can take you 10-15 seconds longer to type as you fix the errors it introduces - No support for bugs, even if they mean you cannot use the software as advertised through no fault of your own - The key system is specific to your OS, so if you have a Mac at work and Windows laptop at home like me you must pay twice, which with the bugs that render this useless, puts you out of pocket for no good reason. I understand development costs for different platforms is probably why they do this, I don't have to like that as an end user. **What problems is Phrase Express solving and how is that benefiting you?** - The problems it solves are sharing links and long repetitive descriptions/words quickly, it's just a shame it ruins all the other typing you do around that to the point I have to constantly turn it off! Part of my job involves live streaming and managing chats which makes having it on gitching, or off unable to quickly supply links very stressful. ### 3. You are on your own with this product and need to figure out most things yourself. I have many shortcuts to quickly type out templates and responses to support emails, frequently asked questions, troubleshooting steps, steps taken and many more. Be sure to take advantage of the macro features like automatically inserting dates etc. **What do you dislike about Phrase Express?** No downsides that I can think of. Very well designed and thought out. It proves it's value repeatedly as you use it consistently every day and find new uses. **Recommendations to others considering Phrase Express:** For any time you find yourself having to type out the same phrase, sentence, date format, etc., think of putting it into PhraseExpress, and what shortcut would work to quickly type instead. For me, I frequently use a /[1-3 letters] for my short codes. For example, with a "/d", I can always drop in today's date in my preferred format. I also have similar shortcuts that will paste in full paragraphs, lists of steps to complete, etc. **What problems is Phrase Express solving and how is that benefiting you?** I save a ton of time by using PhraseExpress shortcuts. I frequently have to provide repeated answers to support questions or type on a shared screen in webinars etc., so I can use my PhraseExpress shortcuts to type out URLs, phrases etc. quickly and accurately every time. Using PhraseExpress I don't have to come up with the correct wording every time. I spend the time to get the wording just the way I like it and then with just an easy shortcut, I have the right wording at my fingertips. ### 9. The software itself works, just be cautious that you are not actually paying for a real lifetime license. **What do you dislike about Phrase Express?** They advertise their pricing as lifetime, one time fee, but in reality you will have to pay for it again... here's how they get you. The "lifetime" license is only good for whatever software version you got, so you don't get any updates. So if you failed to read the fine print and noticed their "you are responsibly for backing up the installer because we don't keep archives of old installations" then you're screwed, you have to pay for all your licenses again. Phrase express is a scam and should consider switching to honest and transparent pricing. I will not be paying for another 5 "lifetime" team licenses with this scam company. **Recommendations to others considering Phrase Express:** Read the fine print, as long as you realize the life time license is a scam. **What problems is Phrase Express solving and how is that benefiting you?** pasting phrases, lots of email templates, long history of copy and paste on your clipboard history which is useful. I love that the program is yours forever even if you don’t get a paid subscription and that the trial allowed me to get down and dirty with all the features. In addition, I love how quickly I can make edits or updates to my existing phrases/hot key options. **What do you dislike about Phrase Express?** I’ll be honest when I say there is a bit of a learning curve- it takes a while to play with the options and the help guide, for me personally, could be a bit more detailed or offer a bit more guidance. I also dislike that there isn’t a live chat option or someone who can help you in the moment. **Recommendations to others considering Phrase Express:** This program is only useful if you’re willing to put in the effort to learn and then create the phrases/responses upfront. The trial is a great way to see if you’ll actually use it and it will even measure the time saved and tell you how much money you’ve saved based on that time so you can see if it’s worth it to you **What problems is Phrase Express solving and how is that benefiting you?** A large portion of my role is me responding to a number of different emails and performing relatively similar actions for most of them.
