It has it's belts and whistles to meet our needs. But it couldn't filter out name fuzziness. At the time, Duocircle only had the gateway (spam filter) service. The spam filter setting is not very sophisticated. If you don't have a email filter service, get one. You going to need it. Right away my mail started flowing again and I don't have to worry about looking at links and trying to guess if they are phishing or spam. As soon as I click a link I see the Phish Protection page that scans the link and I feel confident that I am not going to land upon a page that is malicious. I found Whitelisting and Blacklisting simple to use. I was getting emails that I had unsubscribed to but kept on getting them, now I no longer get them once I blacklisted the domain. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** I think that the interface could be easier and clearer to use. I could not find the login on the phishing protection site and had to go to the duocircle.com website to find the log in this was a bit confusing as to when I signed up I didn't know who DuoCircle was and expected a phishprotection.com login. We have had multiple issues with staff clicking links before reading them and going to sites that were not appropriate for work. One might face critical problems, if they mail server domain on a different service provider, who's not expert in their fields. There is also a bit of a learning curve for the site, sometimes have to file requests to let the developers know that a particular link is indeed safe. If there is any way to speed up the link checking, perhaps with a faster data store, in the back-end, so that our users really don't notice it is even there. If it gets to this stage, then we can even remove the spinning globes, and the integration will be completely seamless. You may want to consider folding in the cost of the service with the standard mail gateway professional. There is no reason any site should not be using something like this. A little more automation around the required CNAME and other DNS requirements would be a nice touch. **What problems is Phish Protection by DuoCircle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use phish protection to secure all of our incoming E-Mails. Our users don't even really notice anything has changed, except for the spinning globe, and a 3 second delay when a link is pressed. It would be ideal if there was a button right on the page that allowed a link to not only be followed, but to be added to the white list. This would obviate the need for an admin to go online and do it manually. ### 24. You simply point your MX records to DuoCircle and that's it, filtering begins immediately. Also, all hyperlinks that arrive in an e-mail to the end users are changed to make sure users are protected from malicious links. If the user clicks the link; DuoCircle scans that link for potential infection and informs the user to go no further "OR" they can click through the link at their own risk. In the Admin Portal, you can disable the Click-Through option and deny end users that option if needed. The Admin portal is very straightforward. You can Whitelist domains or e-mails, or Blacklist domains and e-mails that you wish to have filtered out. So far, we have noticed around 99% reduction in the amount of spam that was hitting our 365 accounts. DuoCircle stays on top of newly created websites and spam e-mails and adds them to their database for scanning. Additional domains can be added to the portal that are on the same 365 server as well. This made it a slam dunk for us to bring all of the domains under one spam filtering service. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** To be honest, there really isn't much to dislike about the service provided from DuoCircle, so far, very happy with the service and the price cannot be beat. We researched other vendors in this category and all of them came up with much higher pricing. **What problems is Phish Protection by DuoCircle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Current problems we were facing that DuoCircle solved for us is the hyperlinks sent in e-mails to which end users will typically click on automatically without thinking, and get phished. DuoCircle prevents this from happening by overwriting the URL's. ### 25. It would be nice to have an easy option for such reinstatement of the original link. For smaller companies this is a bargain for everything you get. But by far the one thing that did bring me here was its link scanner. I did not see this option on other providers. I was always nervous about emails that had links. Would my Firewall block it? What if they are looking at it at home? With the link scanner I am always sure that the link goes through a scan regardless if they are at work or not. It just adds to the protection. This issue just recently came up with the dreaded Invoice email. I clicked on the link, got scanned, and it was blocked. A nice test. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** Some times the Link Scanner takes a long time. Not sure why. Seems to only happen at another building that is connected through a VPN. Have not experienced it at our Main location. The only other issue would be a feature add on I would like. I would like to restrict emails from certain countries. We have no reason to expect emails from Russia or China and I would like to block those. **Recommendations to others considering Phish Protection by DuoCircle:** I have yet to see anything like this product. The ability to re-write the links inside of emails to use the scanner is unlike any product I have used in the past. If you are only using a single Domain for email then the price is really hard to beat. We all know users are unpredictable. This service stops the malicious messages before the user can do anything. As a personal example, I received an email, that I was expecting, from someone I knew. It had a subject that seemed normal. I did everything I could to open the email, but the Phish Protection stopped me. I finally gave up and called the vendor, only to find out that they had been attacked by ransomware. I am so thankful that this product protected us. We use it on every domain that we have. The syntax to fully understand how to use the queries can be hit or miss. I usually have to guess and try various searches before I can find something obscure. Filters are good but not perfect. The URL screening has been much more reliable and predictable. It offers a higher degree of assurance to the end users as well. Only a few times have we had to address false positives or deal with the URL string being too long for a web browser. ### 30. I have full control over monitoring phishing emails and get alerts when a suspicious email is a click. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** Nothing specific - it's a really great product. **Recommendations to others considering Phish Protection by DuoCircle:** It's an excellent product, there is nothing specific that I do not like **What problems is Phish Protection by DuoCircle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were receiving numerous phishing emails and fraudulent emails including attempting to deliver ransomware. Most commonly thought to steal credentials, which could be catastrophic. Phish Protection immediately identifies these emails, meaning we now have full confidence in our inboxes to ensure that no one in our organization clicks on a phishing email. ### 31. Talk to a real human which means the solution or answer to you question is handled quickly. I also like that the emails are cached on the server for 30 days. This saved me recently after a server had failed. It was out of action for over two weeks but i was able to check the cached emails and read them which allowed to me still use the email in a limited fashion. But this was better than not knowing at all. The setup is pretty straight forward and not overly complex. The system activation is super quick as well. This also limits spam and virus as all the emails go through Duocircle filters. This is good as i am not interested in deleting all the spam that would be let through to my server. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** I use this for a home email server. The price is a bit high when you only have 1-2 users and it is for personal use. I have a few different domains so it can be a bit pricey to do this for all my domains. But from a business point of view i would say the cost is fine. **Recommendations to others considering Phish Protection by DuoCircle:** I would suggest that if you use this then block your email port (TCP25) on your firewall as that way all your email will be forced through spam gateway which will allow better protection. **What problems is Phish Protection by DuoCircle solving and how is that benefiting you?** The issue i have is that my ISP blocks port 25 and I want to run my own email server on the same link. This allows me to change the port 25 for SMTP to a non-standard port which is not blocked by the ISP. They also cache emails for 30 days and spam checking. But the main reason was the port forwarding. Note that if you do this you should also block port 25 on your firewall as then spam email senders can't send directly to you as they will not know the non standard port you are using. ### 32. Support is very helpful too. **What do you dislike about Phish Protection by DuoCircle?** The admin panel is a little quirky. Not as intuitive as I would have hoped. You can get things done there, but, the way you do things aren't how you would expect it to behave. Many times a support email is needed for the less than obvious changes. Some users have reported long delays on links to "known" good sites. I think being able to "whitelist" a domain so there is no phishprotect link would be ideal. **What problems is Phish Protection by DuoCircle solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is a good question. While I think Phish Protection is working, I really can't gauge how effective it's working. If there was a weekly or monthly report emailed to me, then I think I could better gauge what problems/benefits Phish Protect has solved for me. ### 33. We are able to do much more analysis of email filtering when compared to Office 365. We are able to sell this additional layer of security to customers who otherwise would not have been able to afford it. ### 34. We would like to be able to modify more Options.
