Intuitive vs Expandio.io which I tested and found pretty cumbersome tbh. I;ve used Phantombuster in the last 2 businesses as a head of marketing/growth and now in my own agency business for clients to build LinkedIn presence. Easy, reliable and love that they keep adding new features like multiple LI accounts and PB chrome extension.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

It's the easiest tool to use out there right now, I'd love to be able to use it more but obv has to work within the confines of LinkedIn etc.

Unfortunate because, in theory, it did exactly what I wanted it to. 

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

I set up the tool to do what I wanted it to. It was working perfectly, so I decided to purchase the annual subscription. The whole thing just died not long after I signed up, and just would not work. I was emailing daily, but got only the same response: "our customer care team will get back to you soon". This was utterly unnacceptable. I needed to know timeframes. I needed to know what is going on. I have since change to Texau and have had a much better experience, but Phantombuster did refund my entire annual invoice so that was good.

It covers nearly everything I could ever want to automate on social. The team is constantly shipping new phantoms, so basically every task I could want to automate, they can do. 

I also appreciate that they improve the UI/UX pretty regularly.

It's not always clear why errors happen so you often have to reach out to customer support to understand them.

Phantombuster helps us automate connection requests and messages to LinkedIn profiles. This is useful for sales and recruiting outbound.

Phantom busters automations for scrapping leads of LinkedIn is perfect for B2B sales. The ability to find decision makers is perfect for contacting people. PhantomBuster has generated many leads for us.

The limits to scrapping needs to be more clear. As each phantom has a different limit and I have struggled to find those limits posted on the website.

I like that we can do google maps scrapes at scale by attaching a googlesheet.
Also that the googlemaps search can literrally be anything we want - I have used other providers which have defined catergories (Restaurant etc)

Hard to use at scale for our agency - honestly have looked into other options because of this.
We want to scrape 100k+ contacts per month, but your pricing isnt really built for this.
If we are to leave it will be because of this.

**What do you like best about PhantomBuster?**

I love that it automates my tasks and clearly reports on the progress and success of the automation. 

I have implemented PhantomBuster at two companies now. The first one, I used Phantombuster to convert a list of companies that visited our website to relevant employees at those companies, reach out to them on LinkedIn and refer them back to our site. In just the 30-day trial, this automation generated a lead that turned into a client, proving a 5000% ROI. (software sales, hence the high ROI for one sale)

I'm using PhantomBuster with my current company to reach out to trade show attendees on LinkedIn prior to the show to encourage them to visit our booth or schedule a meeting in advance of the show. It has saved me significant man hours and has definitely increased booth traffic.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

I think Phantombuster is pretty great. 
My colleagues did find a competing software called La Growth Machine that we're going to look into implementing which may take over our current use for PhantomBuster. The difference between the two for our use case is that La Growth Machine allows you to respond to emails and social media replies from automations within the platform. This helps when using multiple different LinkedIn accounts. I can see all my replies as well as all the replies my coworkers are getting from outreach from automations running through her profile.

Sometimes, there are bugs you need to figure out yourself, so it does take time to figure out the right setup and then fix any phantom if it is broken. So expect to spend some time learning the platform.

The connections are breaking down after a while. Alsi their customer service has 3 layers of auto responses with default (repeating) information. So you have go through that to get actual help.

Love that the automations are easy to set up and easy to use. They are all easy to implement and connect on LinkedIn. You just need to make sure you have the right automation setup and account connected.

When cookies expire we have to redo it and phantoms are not working when that happens.

WE use Phantombuster for marketing, the greatest is their webinars that you can attend. The tool  works well out of the box. It has a little bit of learning curve and it was part of a course I did a few months ago in 2024

I don't like that automation is an absolute pain. I understand why they do not, but it be great if they were more flexible about it.

A lot of LinkedIn databases are using out of date data and charging quite a lot of money for it. PhantomBuster is both more affordable and more up to date than other services.

Because it's scraping live data it's going to take a little bit longer than other services if you're trying to do a really big export.

I am a big fan of the combination of sales navigator search export tools, and LinkedIn outreach (with follow up functionality). It has genuinely saved heaps of time from our outbound B2B process.

Sincerely, not much. I find it very easy to use, the only thing that occasinally can go wrong is keeping the LinkedIn profile I am using in the cache so the outreach can be conducted properly.

PhantomBuster is incredibly user-friendly, letting even non-developers quickly build automated workflows. Its LinkedIn and Twitter integrations are rock-solid, making lead generation and data extraction a breeze

PhantomBuster is powerful but can get pricey for heavy scraping or bigger teams, and its UI needs better real-time feedback or logs. Changes in social media policies also force time-consuming adjustments. These aren’t deal-breakers, but they show where PhantomBuster could still improve.

It lets us extract data from platforms that we'd otherwise be unable to get the data. Easy to set-up especially with the Chrome extension.

Not every single piece of data is able to be extracted, there are some limits per platform or type of data, but that's somewhat expected.

Sometimes I need to get data out of a platform to process or use it correctly, PhantomBuster does that perfectly.

The ability to export lists from both Sales Navigator and LinkedIn

Setup can be little difficult for those using it for the first time.

**What problems is PhantomBuster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We build out a lot of contact lists in Sales Navigator as that is the tool that has the most relevant filters that fit our ICP. Sales Navigator does not have a contact database so PhantomBuster allows us to export Sales Navigator lists that then allows us to put into a contact finding tool to get contact info. We then upload that into the CRM.
