What I like best about PhantomBuster is how it helps us expand our reach on LinkedIn. It’s very easy to use and completely low‑threshold — you don’t need any coding background or technical knowledge to get great results.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

What I dislike about PhantomBuster is the limited amount of execution time included in the Grow plan. The 80 hours of monthly execution time are used up quite quickly when you run automations continuously across the 15 available slots. In our case, the bottleneck is not the number of slots, but purely the available execution time: we would actually benefit from the higher execution allowance of a Scale-type plan, but we do not really need the 50 slots that come with it. As a result, it feels like you have to upgrade mainly to get more time, rather than because you actually need the extra capacity in terms of slots.

**What problems is PhantomBuster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PhantomBuster is helping us transform how we generate new business. As a consulting firm, we used to rely mainly on word-of-mouth to attract clients, which limited our reach and made lead generation quite unpredictable. By using PhantomBuster, we can now significantly expand the visibility of our services on LinkedIn and systematically reach out to our ideal target audience. It allows us to identify and connect with key decision-makers inside organizations, even while we are fully engaged in advisory projects for other clients. PhantomBuster is an all-in-one tool that performs a number of tasks to help companies build data lists which are targeted and intent-based. PhantomBuster is really versatile, which is it's main strength, and it also executes actions based on the data generated, so it is a great tool to have available for multiple use cases.

The UX design and usability of PhantomBuster is probably it's weakest area. For non-technical people, it isn't as striaght forward to set up automations and tasks compared to other tools on the market.

PhantomBuster helps our company build targeted listsof B2B contacts based on a variety of targeting criteria. This helps us approach verified leads that we know are either holding specific positions at companies, or are displaying intent signals based on their online behaviour.

There are not many downsides to PhantomBuster besides the subscription cost. Although many users can get away with the cheapest plan!

PhantomBuster is solving an issue I have been working towards accomplishing for some time now. There is no reason to create complex code algorithms when PhantomBuster offers everything you could want with a simple sign in to a social media account.

They do enrichments really well for linkedin company page url data.  That's we we utilize it for for targeting.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

There are a few core problems. First, they changed their pricing at the end of 2025, which significantly limited our usage. We only used the platform about once a quarter, but after the change it became very expensive to use. The biggest issue, though, is that they did not tell us about the price change. I tried to use the platform as part of my normal workflow and suddenly found myself heavily restricted.

Second, because we needed more credits, we upgraded our account, but it didn’t work. We paid more money and still didn’t receive the additional credits. Instead, we got an error message saying, “your maximum of 1000 credits differs from the plan defualt of 10,000.” Unfortunately, we were still capped at 1000. Support still hasn’t gotten back to us, even after more than 18 hours.

**What do you like best about PhantomBuster?**

What I like most about PhantomBuster is that its capabilities go far beyond standard lead generation. One of the most powerful features for me has been the ability to find LinkedIn company profiles simply from company names or domains, and then identify the personal LinkedIn profiles of key people such as E-Commerce store owners, CMOs, or Heads of Marketing. That’s absolutely huge — and to my knowledge, there’s no other tool in the market that delivers this level of precision and flexibility for such specific use cases.

PhantomBuster offers a wide range of automation options that are extremely helpful for experienced users, especially in E-Commerce lead generation and when combining it with cold email outreach. It’s incredibly reliable and provides consistently high-quality data and metrics — something that’s quite rare in the industry. For LinkedIn lead generation in particular, PhantomBuster has by far the most extensive and effective features I’ve worked with.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

What I would like to see improved is the ability to build custom workflows. Right now, users can only use pre-built Phantoms, which are great for the most common use cases, but I often find myself wanting to combine multiple automations into one seamless flow instead of managing many individual steps. Having a more flexible, custom-built workflow builder would make a big difference.

I’m also not a big fan of the new pricing model, especially the additional limits for regenerated URLs. While I understand the business logic, it feels restrictive given the already premium pricing plan (around €70/month plus taxes).

Lastly, the n8n integration and community node could be more capable — as someone who works with low-code automation, I’d love to see more advanced options and smoother interaction between PhantomBuster and external workflows.

That said, PhantomBuster remains an outstanding platform with unmatched versatility and reliability — one of the few tools I truly rely on for accurate, scalable, and efficient lead generation.

**What problems is PhantomBuster solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PhantomBuster solves a major challenge in my work — building a reliable, automated LinkedIn lead generation system that delivers high-quality results I can confidently use in client-facing projects. Especially for E-Commerce LinkedIn lead generation, it’s an absolute must-have.

The platform allows me to generate targeted, high-quality leads even from minimal input data, something that’s rarely possible with other tools. The LinkedIn automation capabilities are truly top-notch, and when combined with proper enrichment processes afterward, the output is both accurate and scalable.

For me, PhantomBuster fills a key gap in my automation stack: while I already handle general lead generation and enrichment through sources like Google or Google Maps, PhantomBuster is my go-to solution for LinkedIn-based prospecting — and it performs exceptionally well in that domain.

As eveyone know, Sales Navigator UX is awful, like all Microsoft tools. I use Phantom to extract accounts and leads to better tools to enhance and score them there. That's about it.

I've been using PhantomBuster purely for the LinkedIn automations since LinkedIn doesn't have an API itself.

The API to use PhantomBuster LinkedIn automations triggered by n8n was quite a pain to set up and took a lot of learning. And quite often, the Phantom runs will break with the LinkedIn automations because of session cookie issues.

I appreciate the variety of options available. With this app, I can export a Sales Navigator search and reach out to candidates all in one place. However, I prefer to use two separate phantoms for this process, as I find the automation for the entire workflow to be a bit slow.

I like the lead scraping (from LinkedIn sales navigator) and lead messaging tools, especially on autopilot sending LinkedIn personalized connection messages to non-1st degree connections based on auto-generating LinkedIn sales navigator lead lists.

Friendly and helpful customer service department. When I was getting setup, when I had trouble getting a tool to work for what I needed, when I needed to decide what best tool to use, and when I was deciding whether to take a break from my membership...a human live support agent has been there for me, patient, resourceful, clear, and gotten me the results and care I needed.

**What do you dislike about PhantomBuster?**

The interface could do with some improvement, and perhaps some AI suggestions about what tools make sense given one's website, business sales/marketing documents, and track record using their tools.

There's too many tools on the internet one pays for and they don't have enough responsibility of keeping in contact with the users who are lapsing in their usage but still paying.

However, with Phantom Buster, they understood that I needed a break in usage and very transparently recommended I cancel the account and return when I need it again. I will very soon. This honesty breeds customer trust and future loyalty.

We had a 1-2 month period where we weren't using it, and have temporarily left. Better/recommended integrations with more CRMs would be great.

It saves time, scales outreach, and eliminates repetitive tasks. I use PhantomBuster to find and engage decision-makers in property management and facility operations. For example, I run a Phantom to scrape search results for “UPS Operations Manager Albany NY” on LinkedIn, then export the profile info into a Google Sheet. I tag those leads by region and company, and follow up with a custom email or connection request. I also automate message follow-ups based on tag and campaign type, so each contact gets a consistent and personalized touchpoint.
