"Empowers Our Database Performance Monitoring"
What do you like best about pganalyze?

I like that pganalyze just works and they keep adding new features to really get into the nitty gritty of understanding how the system works. They give you expert insights, which feels like standing on the shoulders of PostgreSQL experts, allowing us to focus more on our application and business domain. I also enjoy the server log, query and auto-vacuum insights, table bloat, and query performance tuning via plan statistics and comparisons. The initial setup is quite easy, get the container, inject the database auth credentials, and set up some functions done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about pganalyze?

It's all pretty good but maybe more lock contention insights and more granular best practices and recommended tuning values. Oh and I'd love an official MCP server for agentic workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool for understanding and improving Postgres performance"
What do you like best about pganalyze?

I really like how pganalyze makes it easy to see which queries are slow and which ones are consuming the most resources. The visual breakdown of query runtime, I/O usage, and cache hit ratio is extremely helpful for quickly identifying performance bottlenecks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about pganalyze?

The only issue I face with pganalyze is that the connections screen doesn’t automatically refresh. It would be helpful if it refreshed periodically so I can see live updates without manually reloading the page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Turning Complex Postgres Monitoring Into Actionable Insights"
What do you like best about pganalyze?

pganalyze takes the complexity out of PostgreSQL performance tuning. I really appreciate how it translates slow queries, indexes, and workload patterns into actionable recommendations instead of just raw metrics. The automated insights, query plans, and index suggestions save hours of manual investigation. The clean UI and seamless integration with Postgres make it easy to quickly identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and keep databases running smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about pganalyze?

While pganalyze is extremely powerful, the depth of features can feel overwhelming at first, especially for someone new to PostgreSQL performance tuning. Some advanced recommendations require deeper database knowledge to fully apply. Also, pricing might be a consideration for smaller teams or startups. That said, once you get familiar, the value far outweighs the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

pganalyze makes it much easier to monitor and tune PostgreSQL performance. The query insights and index recommendations are very accurate and save a lot of manual debugging time. Its dashboards give a clear overview of performance trends, and the tool helps uncover issues that would otherwise be hard to detect. What do you dislike about pganalyze?

Some features feel a bit advanced for new users, and it takes time to fully explore the platform’s capabilities. Pricing may be a little high for smaller teams, and having more flexible plans could make it even more accessible. The learning curve is there, but with better onboarding materials and tutorials, the experience would be even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
