**What do you like best about Persona?**

It is easy to use, all the platform provides clear information, the verification process is simple, all information is secured. All information is provided clear, all policies are well structured and this provides a better workflow without misunderstandings, to pull out data from Persona is not that easy, however, it does provide clear information. To see how all cases are assigned its extremely useful. Integration was simple and since we use it every day, there are no downtimes, the site is very stable and their customer support is good.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

There not much to dislike, the interface is clear and easy to use. Maybe one thing is that people can submit any type of photo, the site must have a policy that all documents + pictures must be SFW, but this is just a personal complaint, mostly I like Persona, since it does exactly what it promises and was easy to implement.

**What problems is Persona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since our platform sells courses, the main situation Persona is resolving is to verify information from our Instructors, people who want to submit courses first need to go through Persona to verify their information, this allows to identify any objective signs, Instructor's age and to prove that they are real people and not AI.

I really like Persona's start-up program because it allows development without incurring any cost. Their customer service is amazing, very warm, supportive, and understanding.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

The nomenclature in the dashboard is a bit confusing. It's not obvious what is a verification versus an inquiry. That could be easier.

**What problems is Persona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Persona verifies user identity, preventing catfishing in dating apps, enhancing safety, and ensuring legal compliance by providing user identities to law enforcement if its ever needed.

The most helpful aspect of Persona is its real-time customer verification, since customers are required to submit a selfie in real time.

I think that, when it comes to document verification, Persona can’t reliably determine whether the documents a customer submits are legitimate or not.

It solved customer verification in real time and reduced the chances of identity theft and fraudulent attacks.

That i dont have to use it for my products

That opeai is using it for verfication, 3 people on my team tried verifying with 5 ids each and it simply would not work. How hard is it to build a photo verification software? This was a solved problem 15 years ago. 
Feel free to use these guys if you want your customers to hate you

The fact that at least in the advertisment it works

The fact that... for a company offering one thing, it's a shame when that thing doesnt work as advertised.

Also the support is both... incompetent, useless, and unable to even read the problem completly before responding.

It doesnt solve anything, instead it add new problems instead of solving them.

Limited features in the startup package but that's kind of the point.

Easy identity verification through ID and selfie checks. We're able to create logic to auto-decision and escalate cases, as needed. We're able to quickly and easily screen for bad actors.

**What do you like best about Persona?**

A mature product with the personal community relations of a startup. As a founder and developer, I was easily able to access the relevant documentation and the relevant Persona resources to answer any questions I had. The pairing of KYC and KYB in one system is what really sold us on Persona.

The time saved automating these checks with a single integration is well worth the cost in terms of capital as well as the cost to remediate any problems occurring from our previous manual KYC & KYB checks.

Implementation was straightforward using the documented APIs.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

One wishlist item would be backend server SDKs, namely Java.

**What problems is Persona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company specializes in providing human capital solutions to companies on an ad-hoc or short-term basis. Acting as a platform, we have to carefully vet the contractors to confirm their eligibility to serve as 1099 contractors and verify and validate the organizations that utilize our platform to stay compliant with AML laws and provide a robust experience for those searching for their next shift.

Traditionally, we would need to manually collect documents and verify identity, however, with the Persona integration, we are able to completely automate the system allowing for self-registration for organizations. This decidedly has reduced friction and freed up our own internal resources to provide more customer-facing value rather than spend their time on internal tasks.

**What do you like best about Persona?**

I've been in the digital trust and saftey space for about 4 years, and Persona is taking a next gen appraoch. Not just in their technology, but also their teams, and understanding of what companies are seeking when it comes to risk / fraud / compliance.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

So far, I am not experiencing any downsides. I think the only thing that could come to mind, is the tool is expansive, so nailing the usecase as a merhcant / enduser is important to vet to maximize the tool.

**What problems is Persona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, we're a data partner of Persona, and access to clean, relaibale data is often a challenge for businesses. Where do you find it, how do you consume it, is it trusted? Because Persona has taken a pro-active apporach, they have been diligent about bringing in the right partners along the way. This is a big benefit for any business considering a new platfrom / tech for their space.

Simple and Intuitive dashboard. Awesome support from the persona product team. Flexible plans especially for startup companies.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

The persona dashboard is hard to work with in a mobile screen. I often don't have laptop with me and wanted to quickly change something in the dashboard or view billing, it is quite hard to use it in mobile.

Also I would love to have an official Flutter SDK. Currently using a 3rd party package.

Eliminates spam posting and builds trust among the community of our app.

**What do you like best about Persona?**

There are many, many IDV products out there now and many do the same thing and look at the same databases. What separates the good ones is how well they can integrate into a custom solution and how well they work. Persona isn't perfect but they've been great at responding to all of our feedback and making adjustments to suit our needs. I like that feedback suggestions and criticism doesn't seem to be going to an unmonitored email inbox. The feedback is being taken seriously. The tool itself just works well.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

It's not easy to stay up to date with 50 US states and incorporate databases from phone carriers and international entities. There are issues when the data is not up to date. The system doesn't tell you when the database was last updated. This is important, particularly when explaining to someone why their verification failed. It's one thing to say it failed - you have to be able to say why it failed and give recourse options. Persona lacks a bit here. I get that the data either matches or doesn't but I need better information to relay to the customer. This data has to be customer friendly and accessible via api.

Our platform helps title companies prevent wire fraud. Seller impersonation is growing at a remarkable rate and idv is one tool to help prevent wire fraud.

Aside from their KYC feature, it is very easy to integrate with their step by step guides and documentation.

There's nothing to dislike, there maybe missing or it lacks something but I believe they will include them on future updates.

The platform provides very comprehensive easy to use APIs. They make it easy to use the code embeds and APIs. I am impressed at their documentation!

They don't have existing libraries where you can just plug and play. We have to develop libraries of our own.

We like the simplicity of it, the Team at Persona is on the ball, the tech is reliable and fun to use. I would strongly recommend them as a solid KYC,KYB, AML company! Great team and thanks guys!

Not much to dislike, the onboarding wasn't exactly clear, but once we got hold of Alex, it was smooth sailing!

I appreciate the ease of implementation with the Persona API. It simplifies the KYC process and allows for quick integration within 24hrs I was able to integrate Govt ID + Selfie

The OCR feature simply doesn't work. We experienced user dropoff at this point in our registration flow and the customer support is slow.

Its pricing model is very fair and straight forward. Especially when it comes to its pricing for statup bussineses who are looking to save capital. Compared to other companies like plaid, who nickle and dime each request, persona is much easier to understand.

I love their no-code options as well as their more technical options. We are a startup so we took advantage of their free 500 kyc check for the starter plan. I love thier ux and their team is super responsive.

nothing yet! we will dig deeper into the api and may have some feedback but everything is pretty fire. We even got production access within the same day and already integrated it.

The facility and accuracy by Persona is astonish. I've just put my documents on e-learning system and the indentity verification process was almost instantly. This bring security for they and speed for us.

We began using Persona as a KYC vendor but have expanded into so many other risk areas after working closely with the Persona team to create new solutions tailored for our unique fraud risks. My fraud team loves the user experience and how Persona provides all the information needed for them to conduct their risk reviews quickly and accurately.

I wish I could use Persona in more areas of our business! Persona is always growing and adding more data and tools into our dashboard, and I am looking forward to more products from them that we can use in our risk toolbox.

Main service uptime is overall very high, and when issues arise Persona is quick to jump into the investigation with our team to triage and figure out the root cause. The verification rates we observe are also very good compared to other competitors that we've tried.

Many of our past issues with Persona revolves around them making one off changes in their API or underlying systems and not giving us a heads up. Communications around these types of changes could improve.

Document verification, and it helps us verify our users and perform the standard set of KYC checks that regulations require.

Persona's iframe system makes importing a ready-to-use workflow that you add to your app very easy. Webhooks are pretty flexible and their in app dashboard makes it easy to review KYC issues.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

API integration is an additional fee and a manual setup, which is a bit inconvienient. You are locked into their iframe workflow unless you pay for the premium of integrating with your own workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering Persona:**

Last I checked Persona doesn't do KYC checks for entities also the API is an additional cost.

**What problems is Persona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building investment software, so we need to do KYC checks on each investor to ensure they are not on international block lists and the person is a registered individual.

Our experience with Persona has been positive overall. Integration was a breeze and verifications are fast and customer-friendly. Also, their support team has consistently been helpful and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

To access a lot of customizability, account upgrades are needed. Also, they do not provide phone support and their dashboard is not mobile-friendly.

Persona enables us to verify IDs on our customer applications before sending orders for delivery. With the tools they provide, we block the majority of fraud before orders are even placed. This allows us to maintain low delivery times while protecting ourselves legally.

I liked how easy it was to integrate with both PHP and React—it worked ideally 99% of the time.

The thing that I disliked the most was the amount of code I had to write. Even though it was easy, it wasn't little code.

I'd use php because it was the easiest to integrate

Identity verification uses both Government issued document (like drivers license) and live selfie to prove there is an actual person.

**What do you dislike about Persona?**

Ocassionally, the name pulled from a driver's license is incorrect. Also, we get a Fail if someone tries to use an expired license.

Our company needs to verify identities prior to allowing access to tour vacant homes that are for sale.  This product works for all states in the US as well as Canada
