PerkUp is a great benefit for employees. It's simple to use anywhere Visa is accepted and allows people to get a little something extra. At our company, we use it as a means to provide self-care funds to our team so they stay engaged, rested, and taken care of. Currently, the interface on a mobile device is not built out, so the website is not really functional unless you access it from a larger screen like a tablet or computer. I don't know if they are working on a mobile app, but that would make the experience much easier. My favorite part of the PerkUp platform has my own virtual card, which I can use at benefits that my company has selected. There's not much to dislike about PerkUp. While the company is still small, they are constantly adding new features and support for additional benefits. Not a huge fan of the fact that it's run by Stripe only because it's in USD and our employees have run into a few issues with some vendors where they won't let you use the card because it's catching the conflict that we are in Canada - we get this error message with some of the most popular options - "The credit card you entered is not valid in Canada. This is a really fun idea to help distribute perks to employees. The virtual card works in a lot of situations and they show you which websites they have cleared your card for use on. There are still a few bugs in the system when it comes to transactions. They are usually easy to fix but can be frustrating at the moment. If there was one thing I would improve it would be to roll over unused expenses each month. The new feature allowing you to add personal funds to better take advantage of every penny has been quite useful. I'm excited to see what features are on the horizon!
