Perform Yard has enabled us to get yearly reviews and keep a deadline. Prior to Perform Yard I hadn't had a review in the first 3 years with my company.

The functionality within PerformYard was easy.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

Our overall experience with PerformYard’s product has been satisfactory; however, their business practices around contract renewals are extremely disappointing. We were not provided with any proactive communication regarding renewal terms or pricing increases. Instead, our contract was auto-renewed without notice and with a price increase—leaving us no opportunity to evaluate, negotiate, or even make an informed decision.

This lack of transparency feels unfair and misleading. A company that values its clients should ensure clear, upfront communication about renewal deadlines and any changes to pricing. Instead, PerformYard relies on auto-renewal language buried in fine print, which does not reflect ethical or customer-focused business practices.

We believe this approach takes advantage of customers and erodes trust. While the platform itself is useful, the way PerformYard handles renewals and billing makes it very difficult to recommend them as a trustworthy partner.

PerformYard is very easy to use, with a clean and intuitive user interface that makes navigation simple for both administrators and end users. Implementation was straightforward, and the system provides all the tools needed to manage performance reviews, goal tracking, and feedback in one place. Customer support has also been responsive and helpful whenever questions arise. Overall, it’s a reliable and user-friendly platform that makes performance management efficient and effective

PerformYard helps streamline and centralize performance management processes that were previously manual, inconsistent, or spread across different tools. It eliminates the hassle of tracking reviews and goals through spreadsheets or email chains by providing one system where everything is organized and transparent. This has improved accountability, made feedback easier to give and receive, and ensured that performance conversations happen on time. The result is clearer expectations for employees, better alignment with organizational goals, and time saved for managers and HR teams.

**What do you like best about PerformYard Performance Management?**

I am able to see the goal's progression and attend to it. I can also see the history of every piece of information I added to pick up where I left off. Very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The only dislike is that if you are tracking numbers as they grow like in membership growth, if you do not put a note to accompany the growth, you are not able to track the growth accurately. So if today you have 50 members and tomorrow you have an additional 20, you have to put a note that shows that progressions in order to increase your goal's number from 50 to 70. But that's very minor.

**What problems is PerformYard Performance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is a weekly report that my direct supervisor needs for staff to complete weekly, but I'm unsure if she knows how to add it to be recurring or if she has to manually have to add it weekly. TBD.

It was easy to list your goals and update the progress .  Since the application typically does not get used that often, the UI is simple enough to navigate.

Easy to use. cloud based so it can be accessed from anywhere. Also, it keeps data from years past so you can refer back to prior years.

I have no real dislikes. Again, it is very simple and anyone can quickly learn the software with minimal training.

I appreciate how Perform Yard helps me keep track of my goals and makes editing them simple. The platform is user-friendly and navigating through each section is straightforward.

So far, I haven't come across any downsides, and I am quite satisfied with the dashboard.

I have not encountered too many problems. I appreciate the refine feature, as it allows me to type out text and, since I struggle with grammar and vocabulary, it helps improve both my speech and writing. I definitely like this feature.

I love Perform Yard for the ease of use and its intuitiveness.   It has been very easy to get set up and has been one of the easiest implementations I have ever been a part of.

At this time I do not have anything that I dislike about it...

We went from using an excel spread sheet doing employee evaluations to a whole new level.  We will be using the system to complete 90-day and annual evaluations, goal setting and tracking, reporting, and employee shout outs.

The interface is intuitive, easy to find things. I like the tabs at the top where I can get an overview on the overview tab, and goals on the goals tab, among others.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The only downside I can see is that HR makes us use it, usually at a busy time. But not perform yard's fault. I can't think of anything that really is a downsize or that I dislike.

It has streamlined the goals discussion with my manager. It is so much better and easier than the previous version in which everything was in a Word document. PerformyYard  system is easier to fill out and easier to track profress.

PerformYard is an excellent tool for keeping track of your professional progress. I especially appreciate how easy it is to manage goals and daily tasks, as well as mark them with specific completion dates. A major benefit is the ability to revisit past accomplishments and activities, which is incredibly helpful for staying on top of your work and for reference during performance reviews.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

A significant limitation of the system is the inability to delete goals. If a goal becomes obsolete or inaccurate, there is no option to remove it, which can clutter the interface and misrepresent current priorities.

**What problems is PerformYard Performance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of Continuous Feedback

Problem: Traditional annual reviews don’t provide ongoing performance insights.

Solution: Enables real-time and continuous feedback, goal check-ins, and 1:1 meeting tracking.

Kiera has been awesome to work with. She has been MORE than helpful in getting us onboarded to the platform, and helping to understand how it works so that we can figure out how to work our process into the tool. She is always willing to answer questions or hop on a quick call to show us something, and it has made a big difference in our success in adopting this tool.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The paradigm and terminology takes a little getting used to. E.g. having one or more "forms" that make up a "review". But, once you understand it, it's not a big deal (and actually quite flexible).

We use it in a few ways:
- Regular formal performance reviews of employees
- Tracking of informal "1-on-1" meetings with their manager to discuss goals and objectives

Our account rep did a great job helping us get it setup at the beginning. Maddy also helped quickly when we had a support issue once. She took the time to go step by step and helped us figure out the solution. They also offered the text of commonly used review questions for you to create and setup yourself.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The automation is also not what I was expecting. We thought we could configure it to automatically launch review cycles for employees based on their hire date. That is not possible and PerformYard recommended we just launch the review cycles on a monthly basis for every employee. That method works, but is sadly one of the key reasons to invest in a tool like this.

PerformYard helps with performance reviews and helped us with templates.

Using PerformYard for performance management has been a great experience. The platform is incredibly easy to use, which makes it simple for both employees and managers to engage with the process. Their customer service is outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. One of the biggest upsides is the robust reporting features, which allow us to track performance trends, identify areas for growth, and make data-driven decisions with confidence.

It lacks some of the employee development features we’re looking for, such as more robust tools for career pathing or skill-building. Additionally, the platform seems better suited for smaller organizations—larger or more complex structures might find it less scalable for their needs.

I think the only issue has maybe been not getting an email notification in time to do a peer review. But I think that was an issue on our end of setting up the notifications correctly.

I love how everything is visible on the dashboard and very straight forward. It is not confusing to navigate.

I do not like that it does not have time duration of long term and short term goals. Also, a help caht box if anyone had questions that normally pop up on the right side.

It helps each individual create a plan and goal part of there job position and duties. Some features that are useful are documents and feedbacks from manger, employees, etc.. I believe looking back and seeing progress is very critical on self improvement of indidvuals and the company.

PerformYard has been an incredibly helpful tool for the Legislature's staff offices. Having performance reviews live in one website and being able to track goals and successes over time is very useful. The Feedback feature is also a very helpful tool for our employees to give each other recognition or kudos for jobs well done. Our customer support representative has also been very responsive when we reach out with questions and concerns.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The main thing I dislike is the inability for office directors to view reviews until they are either fully completed or it is their turn to sign off. Building forms to match previously used performance reviews is also not always the most intuitive.

Previously our staff offices did not have a way to store performance reviews in a centralized place and track progress on skills or projects. Now that we are able to track these things in one place, our leaders are able to view progress over time to help with actions such as promotions or performance management.
