Ease organization of organization of emails in legal cases as well as contact information. I love the sub-categories. I also love being able to easily move emails from outlook into Perfect Law. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You cannot delete old contacts or contacts if they need to be updated, which leads to a surplus of contacts with different information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to categorize and then later retrieve documents. Which is key for us when dealing with voluminous litigation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software seems a bit archaic from an aesthetic standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Loved that I could see the entire history of a case in chronological order, from emails to inventors and the timing of an Office Action coming in from the USPTO. Really helped give me a sense of timing for upcoming filing needs and helped keep me organized.
- Docketing system is easy to use, although I say that as someone who did not have system privileges to make new docket entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
System overall is not highly intuitive, though once you learn the system very user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Technology has passed this product behind. It would be a better product if re-written under today's technology stack.
Interface to Microsoft Office products is lacking even though they are a Microsoft partner. Features that we had under our old system that was from 2007 had more compatibility with Office than PerfectLaw has today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once you learn the management system it is not too terrible, however, a lot of basic features make it difficult to make this system a seamless part of tracking time and managing client documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It cannot be fully integrated into system. ProLaw allows for scanning barcodes and direct document housing whereas there are numerous user steps necessary for document intake and storage. you have to independently scan the document, drag it into AIM, and then categorize it. It would be far more efficient and cost saving if there were scanable bar codes to automatically house the document. Additionally, document folders are not intuitive. Moreover not all documents are searchable on the system via keywords or otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of billing to case file and generating reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not compatible with Adobe pdf (Inability to bates label, mark exhibits, combine docs easily)
Inability to hold content of documents
Inability to sort docs numerically (1 followed by 10; adding a zero in front of one doesn't help)
Saving docs to PL -- must go out of that file and come back in for doc to show up!
Email address field is too short to accommodate Judge email.
Electronic Court Filing docs must save to desktop then save to PL (not compatible with Adobe)
Customer Support guaranteed for one month; representative went on "vacation" two weeks in, haven't heard from her since. Found out she was actually loading this system to another client.
During the "Import" phase documents disappeared PL offered no explanation as to where they went or where to find them.
Contact fields obsolete, i.e. beeper.
During training PL rep could not get the merge function to work. Never heard back on that either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I appreciate most about Perfectlaw is that it is an all-in-one interface. You can do billing, time sheets, look at documents, and deal with everything on a single page. In the past, we had to use a bunch of different softwares to accomplish what one does. I also like that you don't have to install additional softwares. With Microsoft office products, you're set. Sometimes the interface gets cluttered. It is not always completely intuitive. It did take a lot of training for me to get comfortable and move from our old system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
