Percona Server for MySQL is a fully-compatible drop-in replacement of MySQL. It has all the features of MySQL enterprise edition for free and even more. Easy to set up a cluster and create backups without locking tables and downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It supports the most popular Linux distros but I'm missing the Windows and OS X versions. It's a minor problem because there are official Docker images. 1. Easy deployment - Initially used Postgres(Deployment - not very comfortable) 2. Easy to scale - even for a fresh graduate who hadn't put much thought into scalability while setting up the DB 3. You get enterprise features in community version software. Many MySQL enterprise features like audit plugin, some global variables are free in Percona server. Even many improvements in things like flushing, compression extended slow query logging exists Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software might have included monitoring agent that will be native to install and configure with PMM. Something like enable_monitoring() function instead of having to install agents and users for monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
