As a teacher who has been teaching synchronously online, Peardeck is a game-changer. Imagine a traditional Power Point where a teachers lecture is unidirectional, and students all take their own individual notes. How boring is that, right? With Peardeck students can join my presentation on any device and they will answer questions on each slide. Now I can track how engaged all students are at all times on every slide! It's become an essential part of my online teaching. When you're all done with your session, Peardeck will automatically email all participants the slides they interacted with to have for the future. **What do you dislike about Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on for G Suite?** I dislike that Peardeck does not allow a teacher to set a limit on the "student paced" mode. As it stands, peardeck is either "instructor" paced where students are always following the same slide as the instructor. The second option is "student paced" where students can scroll through the slide-deck at any rate they desire. I dislike that Peardeck does not allow a "limit" where it can be student paced for slides 8-12 but not 13-15. I also dislike that peardeck is only text based, and that students can't upload audio or video. **What problems is Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Teaching online has always made it incredibly difficult for an instructor to gage their students level of engagement. More often than not, students are muted with cameras off. There's no way for them to know whether the students are truly there or have simply logged on and walked away. Peardeck add-on for G Suite has solved this problem! Now, when we are in class I am actively watching students respond to prompts, or not respond to prompts. I can then use the Private Comment feature to reach out to students who have not responded on our slides. A final benefit is that we can then share my screen and share student responses anonymously. This is especially helpful for students who are introverted and who might not have participated otherwise. ### 7.
