## About PDQ Deploy & Inventory
PDQ Deploy & Inventory is a self-hosted, agentless endpoint management and patch automation solution that helps IT administrators scan, organize, and maintain Windows devices on on-prem and VPN-connected networks. Common use cases include: automated third-party patching and Windows Cumulative Update deployment, software inventory and compliance auditing, dynamic device group management, PowerShell script execution across targeted endpoints, and recurring maintenance automation for on-prem/on-network Windows fleets. PDQ Deploy & Inventory consists of two complementary tools sold under a single license. PDQ Inventory scans Windows devices across the network to collect hardware specifications, installed applications, OS versions, Active Directory attributes, and custom data defined via PowerShell Scanner. It automatically groups devices into dynamic collections based on criteria such as software version, disk space, or AD membership, and syncs with Active Directory to keep computer records current. PDQ Deploy uses those collections as deployment targets to push software, run scripts, and automate patch management on a defined schedule and silently, without interrupting end users. The Package Library provides 500+ prebuilt packages covering popular third-party applications and Windows Cumulative Updates for workstations and servers, maintained and tested by PDQ. Key features include: - Automated patch management: Schedule recurring deployments of third-party software and Windows Cumulative Updates to targeted device groups, with heartbeat-triggered retries for offline machines - Dynamic Collections: Device groups that update automatically based on defined inventory criteria, enabling precise and up-to-date deployment targeting - Custom packages and scripting: Build multi-step deployment packages, deploy executables/installers/msi packages, and execute PowerShell or batch scripts across targeted devices for configuration changes, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks - Reporting: Prebuilt and custom reports with scheduled, automated email delivery — commonly used for compliance audits and management reporting - Central Server mode: Connects multiple admin consoles to a single PDQ server, allowing IT teams to collaboratively manage packages, schedules, and deployment histories from their workstations Unlike PDQ Connect, PDQ's separate cloud-native, agent-based product for remote and hybrid fleets, PDQ Deploy & Inventory is purpose-built for on-prem and VPN-connected environments where devices are network-accessible. PDQ was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company develops device management software purpose-built for Windows-focused IT teams, ranging from solo sysadmins to mid-sized IT departments. PDQ's product portfolio includes PDQ Deploy & Inventory for on-prem environments, cloud-native PDQ Connect for remote and hybrid fleet management, SmartDeploy for Windows imaging, SimpleMDM for Apple device management, ISL for remote access and remote desktop support, and PDQ Detect for vulnerability management. PDQ Deploy & Inventory is used by IT teams in education, government, manufacturing, healthcare, and finance. Licensed per administrator with unlimited endpoint access — not per device.

## PDQ Deploy & Inventory Reviews
 ### 1. Small Shop Deployment Savior

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher C. | Executive Vice President IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We are a small shop of seven locations and approximately 90 employees. We work with an MSP to provide services for standard patching but being a financial institution we use several products that fall outside the scope of the SLA . We are able to quickly patch our systems and easily maintain the 120 plus endpoints for those 3rd party programs.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We have had a couple of persistent machines that we are not able to deploy, or for that matter inventory either. Through our own fault, we have not followed up with support after attempting a few of the KBA remedies. We have also had an issue trying to establish a working service account in our active directory to run the services required for the programming or deployments. Again this is partially our responsibility in that we have not contacted PDQ support.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a gap in our patching for products outside our agreement with out mananged services partner for industry specific programs. We are now deploying those upgrades through the use of settings in PDQ Deploy ins an hour or two versus an entire workday for our small team .

 ### 2. PDQ Deploy has saved us more time than any other single product I can think of

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh B. | Director of I.T., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The PDQ Community is worth its weight in gold. Any time I've had the desire to try and package something that's not built-in, I have found the resources on their site to make it happen.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It's tough to find a negative about this platform. The ONLY thing I can gripe about is the inability to highlight multiple unused files in the repository. To get that drive space back, you have to hit the checkbox next to each file. It can be daunting when you have 1500+ old files to purge.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I got to this company, new laptops and PC's were configured using the manual installation of over 20 applications. I built a single deployment package that takes a brand new machine and installs all the software we need with one click, including Office 365. The fact I can do that to batches of 10-20 machines at a time saves us a ton of time and allows us to deploy replacement machines the same day.

 ### 3. Extremely Robust Tool and Affordable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manny R. | IT Infrastructure Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

With the PDQ agent, you are able to remotely deploy standard package, Windows Updates, and custom packages that are modified/created by you. With the addition of PDQ Inventory, you have all you need in terms of asset management, with a little bit of procedure injected into your onboarding process. Very handy for a refresh cycle!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The one that that I think that PDQ could potentially improve on is being able to remotely reach out to machines that are not within your network. I believe you can, only if you were to put a hardened server out there in a DMZ. However, it does not fit my smaller organization.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ Deploy allows me to create custom deployment schedules with a baseline of software that I would like to deploy to machines, versus imaging the machine. With Inventory, we can easily track oldest to newest equipment for a refresh cycle.

 ### 4. Very potent - especially for the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** michael f. | BIM Manager / Project Captain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It's so adaptable to find ways to get nearly anything you need done on particular machines - even if software doesn't support a "deployment" you can get it deployed.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It's not the easiest to pick up if you're not familiar with some more technical aspects of how MSIs and EXEs work and need to get your hands dirtier, but if you only need basics it's simple enough. There are times when I'm dealing with some scripting that it feels like I could be doing it easier just scripting -- but that's really not the case. It's great.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to install updates and new software for users, scheduled during their downtime to remove the need for them to manually install themselves, or worse, manually screw up an install, meaning we have less follow-up support to do. In conjunction with Inventory it means we can see which devices aren't current and update them,

 ### 5. Fantastic solution for just about any IT deparment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad E. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The PDQ product line absolutely fantastic! The free version is a great product and can be used effectively in almost any network. We used the free version for about a year. However, I highly recommend using the paid version. We switched to the subscription version about a year ago. The added extras make the implementation a lot easier. You will want to use both PDQ Inventory and Deploy. We currently use these products for a variety of jobs, to name a few:
1) Deploy application updates to computers, i.e., Adobe Reader, Chrome, Citrix Workspace, Putty, Notepad ++. PDQ maintains the deployment packages for a wide variety of commonly used applications (These packages are available with a subscription).
2) Deploy security updates to computers
3) Monitor devices that have been restarted for X days, and then once a week, force a restart on devices that haven't been re-started in X number of days.
4) Used to deploy Dell Encryption client to over 200 devices. This deployment took less than 1 hour to create and test. Within 48 hours, over 80% of our devices were updated. The other option was sneaker-net.

I could go on and on about the power an IT admin has at their fingertips with this product line. What is even better about PDQ is the instructional videos and documents. They have done an outstanding job with how-to videos. The videos are almost always 10 minutes or less, and the video will cover what you need help with. Very concise and to the point.

We have been using the subscription version for almost a year. We have had at least 2-3 instances where we needed to make major changes to the majority of our systems. This product line made it easy-peezy

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I honestly can't think of anything major to dislike about this product.

I wish PDQ would provide an easy solution for windows updates as an alternative to WSUS. PDQ states they offer the ability to push out windows updates and I have briefly looked into it, but at first glance, it doesn't appear to be really simple. However, I will admit I haven't spent more the 30 minutes looking at setting up PDQ to push out the windows updates. (This really isn't a dislike, just a small cry for a feature improvement)

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned above, we are able to push out software updates and software installs to every device in our domain. We have used batch files, MSI files and PowerShell scripts for deployments. This product has easily saved us 3 times the cost. The inventory product has allowed us to easily pull a list of devices running specific applications and broken that list down by version.

 ### 6. Excellent software deployment tool, if on-prem

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael Y. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ is really easy to use. It is simple to build packages of individual steps and push these out to computers. There are lots of options/conditions which can apply to an entire package or individual step regarding why/when it should run.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Deploy only works with Windows computers, not Mac or Linux. It also needs to establish inbound connections to these Windows computers, so that limits your target to either directly connected computers on an internal network, or computers on a corporate VPN. It cannot deploy over the internet, like Microsoft InTune can. Nor will it work if you use a modern VPN which has some sort of proxy between the client and the PDQ server.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using PDQ Deploy I relied upon GPO for deployments, which is very limited with little to no reporting. I needed something more powerful, but way less complex and cheaper than SCCM. PDQ Deploy can push deployments on demand, or scheduled and works best when paired with PDQ Inventory.

 ### 7. PDQ took our Hardware and Software Management to the Next Level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | Senior IT Project Delivery Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We love the automated nature of PDQ! Before PDQ, we manually entered hardware data like models and warranty expiration dates into an Excel spreadsheet. This is a thing of the past! We also love using dynamic collections in order to track software installation and make sure our users are running the correct versions. PDQ also has the ability to work with LAPS, which is something we recommend to everyone who is comparing PDQ to their competitors.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We haven't found anything that we dislike yet. You will have to read the instructions to set this up so you'll have to be a bit tech savvy. But I would have to grasp at straws to come up with any disklikes.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency and automation are the name of the game in the IT world. Why have people doing manual tasks when there is software like PDQ that can automatically gather data, run scripts, and alert us if certain threshholds aren't met.

 ### 8. Outstanding Piece of Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant B. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Been using PDQ inventory and Deploy for over 4 years, implementing in to different companies. The software is great for both deployment and inventory purposes, I can't fault the program only that it doesn't have an agent at present. BUT its coming in January 2023 a new product is planned to be released to support the home working world with a agent.

Overall I haven't found a product which deploys software as fast as PDQ deploy, the simplicity of what you can do is out of this world.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

the only down side is the lack of remote deployment and management to devices off the network, however, this is soon to be resolved hopefully with the upcoming agent!

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Sys admin and being the only sys admin for a company of around 50+ its a real challenge to maintain all devices are up to date etc. PDQ Deploy resolved this issue almost instantly, setting up groups and deploying was simple and straight forward.

 ### 9. A lifesaver for a small business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alasdair K. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

As a small business, let's face it - we couldn't afford SCCM in terms of cost and hours. I joined my current company initially as the only IT employee. Having used PDQ Deploy and Inventory at an enterprise level, it was one of the first tools I introduced. It instantly saved installation time and brought consistency to how software was deployed. Its capability recently impressed a seasoned system administrator who hadn't used it before.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The endpoint has to be on the internal network or the corporate VPN. For most users, this is fine, although we tend to limit large deployments to internal only, using a dynamic collection in PDQ Inventory that highlights IP addresses on the VPN VLANs.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying software across multiple internal locations. The heartbeat scheduling makes it easy to leave ongoing deployments running and pick up endpoints as and when they appear on the network.

 ### 10. PDQ Makes Deploying & Inventorying Software Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan S. | Systems Administrator, Utilities, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I like that it's easy to see a computer's software inventory. You can also easily create an uninstaller for unessassary software and remove it company-wide. I also feel PDQ Delpy makes deploying scripts much more effortless.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I'd like to see PDQ Deploy & Inventory in one interface rather than two separate executables. I also feel that it would be easier to renew our licenses if there was a way to upload a file rather than dig into the settings and copy and paste license text. Over all, these are just improvements that could be made.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps solve the need to go deskside whenever we need information. You can see exactly what is installed or know you need to install something without ever going deskside. PDQ is allowing us to also install security software easier because we can bake in the security tokens to the installer.

 ### 11. PDQ Deploy Saves Time and Money

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate B. | Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ gives us insight and depth into our Windows environment. We can ensure that machines are patched regularly and notified when they fall behind. Software deployment is generally streamlined, and I can easily hit 600 workstations with new software without physically touching any machine. Finally, the ability to be up and running in about 30 minutes from the download was a great benefit when we started.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

For me, the only big one is that we have several machines that are local credentials only and are not connected to AD. I wish I could deploy packages with the Inventory user. That way it would run with the appropriate credentials each time.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ Deploy is solving our greatest issue of ensuring that machines are patched and up to date for security vulnerabilities. It was the most flexible software to deploy and manage software in our Windows environment.

 ### 12. One of the best patch/update management applications out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd T. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy makes keeping my Windows computers up to date very simple. It's obvious they take simplicity very seriously. However, they don't dumb it down. You can make PDQ Deploy as simple or ad complex as you would like. Having managed software packages available saves me hours upon hours of trying to find the right installers and making sure that they are all being installed with the right flags and options

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

A web interface would be nice, but its absence doesn't detract from PDQ Deploy's usefulness. It would just make accessing the tool a little easier.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First and foremost, PDQ Deploy keeps me from worrying about keeping our applications and Windows computers up to date. I can set schedules for the updates, and PDQ Deploy takes care of the rest. I don't spend nearly as much time with patch management tasks as I used to.

 ### 13. PDQ Deploy is amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy is a major time saver especially for solo admins. Combining the deployment scheduling feature with PDQ's library of updates for third-party applications is truly amazing.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The Enterprise edition is not free. Just kidding. The only think I really dislike is the interface can slow down from time to time but it is not a deal breaker.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A major timesink for any admin is keeping software up to date. This is no longer an issue for 90% of the software used in our organization. Also having the ability to instantly deploy software to an end users with no interaction from the end user makes us look good. No more having to wait for a software deployment GPO to apply and then informing the end user to reboot to allow for the installation. Any issues with installation are instantly reported by PDQ Deploy.

 ### 14. Love PDQ Inventory & Deploy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Warren H. | IT Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy & Inventory are both time savers and very cost effective! I love that I can write custom Powershell scanners to collect any info through PDQ Inventory.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We use PDQ Deploy & Inventory in server/client mode, but you still have to install the fat client on your machine. It would be nice if the server portion was a web app, where we could use the software via a web page interface.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me a lot of time and effort vs having to do a more manual inventory of our systems and it also saves a lot of time vs having to manually deploy software. I love the auto reports function of Inventory. I have a few reports that are emailed to me on a weekly bases to make sure our devices keep a particular configuration.

 ### 15. PDQ changed the whole game. I went from powershell hell to automation heaven in no time.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The multi-step scripted deployments. You can write multiple powershell, BAT scripts and other options to put together your own multi-step deployment packages.

To name 3 out of 1000 things you can do:
1. Deployments for software or
2. Automations like registering software or
3. File system house keeping tasks

All tasks that have previously taken forever.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

There's nothing I don't like about Deploy and Inventory except the speed. However, I'm not sure how you can speed up processing on the enormous amount of data it's dealing with. I don't actually have any real criticism for either Deploy or Inventory. It's rock solid software.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The easy to use GUI is much better than any other software I've used before for managing large numbers of systems. In combination with the GUI, Inventory's capabilities to search for system characteristics (GPU, driver versions etc.). I can find collections of systems that I need to upgrade or take offline in a snap.

Also, something so simple in Inventory really helps me a lot... the ability to find a system and reboot it very quickly.

 ### 16. PDQ Deploy & Inventory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg P. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Both PDQ Inventory and PDQ Deploy are a necessity for my work environment. It has saved us countless hours and prevented many headaches. I manage over 1000 Windows computers and it would not be possible to keep up without PDQ Inventory and Deploy.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

If I had to nitpick one thing, it would be that sometimes when I move a device to a different network it takes it a while to resync and come online because the IP Address and DNS Records have changed.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New computer installs are much quicker and easier now that we can create all of our software deployment packages and push them out. Also, the rules and groups that I set up in PDQ Inventory easily allow me to view which devices are in need of updates or are missing specific needed applications.

 ### 17. Time-saver for a small IT-department.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob B. | IT manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It has been a time-saver. I'm the only IT manager in our company with 100 workstations. Patching or installing software on all of them always took a considerable amount of time.
PDQ deploy keeps several packages up-to-date (chrome, adobe reader, ...), so I don't have to worry about this anymore.
During covid, many of our employees didn't come into the office. I could still manage those devices and install software on them using PDQ Deploy

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

There is a slight learning curve, especially for more complex installs. However, the documentation is excellent, and you can find a lot of information online.
For our organisation, the price was relatively high, but it was worth every penny.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remotely updating systems and installing new software on a batch of devices at once.
I now have more time for my other tasks.

 ### 18. PDQ Deploy is a game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick P. | Computer Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The ability to deploy packages behind the scenes with ease. Sure you can do some of it with group policy, but the ease of use you get from PDQ Deploy is unmatched. You can target specific computer groups or single devices. Having PDQ has changed our office completely.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Building custom packages can be a chore if you don't understand how programs are installed. The upside though is the extensive community that follows PDQ. Everyone is very helpful and if you can't figure something out someone is always willing to find the answer with you.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being in K12 technology we have multiple labs at various schools. Previously we were having to reload software or update something constantly. Now with PDQ Deploy, we can update an entire lab in a matter of minutes rather than a few hours.

 ### 19. You can't go wrong with PDQ Deploy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alphonso C. | Head of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Easy to configure, easy to use. An extensive, up-to-date use case repository is always a plus in my book. The gentleman making those videos is hysterical and fun to watch.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

In my Industry, we use a bunch of software that isn't common, so I find myself having to dig deep to find information for silent installations and hacks for some of the software we use. It would be nice if we could add that all in one place, but this is really nitpicking.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software deployment is made simple; you can't ask for anything better for how lightweight and undisruptive this software is. I love the "run command line" option; it makes GPOs feel like a thing of the past, granted our use case may be a bit different than larger scale companies.

 ### 20. Great Product and Easy to Use / Configure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yorgo K. | IT Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Easy to learn for all skill levels, lots of documentation. Cuts down so much time for device configuration that would take HOURS per device. We can specify specific installs or just install all apps for new devices. We're also able to manage machines from one location. Heard of this product from Linus Tech Tips and it sure lives up to the hype!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The driver platform packs don't always apply but when the pack is updated it's ususally fixed. Possible better interface but once you set it up once you get the hang of things.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'll occasionally have issues with device that I re-bind to our domain. Saying the device cannot be trusted or PDQ failing to install things until I un-bind/re-bind the device. Overall not a huge issue and am really happy with the product.

 ### 21. PDQ - My Go To for Keeping App Vulnerabilities at Bay

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon W. | Manager of Information Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Using an automated updating solution, like PDQ, you can ensure that your applications are secure and reliable, which I've found to be extremely valuable for our mission-critical operations. PDQ does this with ease and keeps my manual patching to a minimum, saving my team and me hours of work each week.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The only thing that I thought could potentially be considered even close to negative is the time it took to get up to speed with PDQ Inventory. This is more of a limitation of my team's overall bandwidth, not the product itself.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are four problems that PDQ Deploy & Inventory solves for us: Software Vulnerabilities, Maintenance Efforts, Reliability/Stability of Software, and User Experience. This fourfold benefit includes decreased attack surface, leveraging leaner staffing, fewer buggy programs, and happier users.

 ### 22. PDQ is at least like 5 additional members to our IT team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JeddahCable A. | IT Infrastructure Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

You set and forget! For scheduled updates and software to be installed on newly joined computers, PDQ Deploy can do all this without any input from us. As long as the packages are configured with schedules with PDQ Inventory integration, we rest assured that all our domain PCs have the same set of software with the latest versions.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

While it is perfect for local computers and LAN, it is not ready to manage remote computers over internet or at least links with low bandwidth. WAN subnets must be treated differently.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Software installed on all domain PCs are now unified.
- We rest assured that all software are up to date.
- We never worry that we might forgot to install any software on any PC, schedules will install it on next run anyway.

 ### 23. PDQ Deploy has been absolutely amazing in helping us to setup laptops or deploy software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** D B. | IT Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Setting up and using PDQ is super simple and easy. On the few occasions we have had issues, PDQ support has been quick to respond and helpful in resolving issues. I would recommend PDQ Deploy, and PDQ Inventory for that matter, to any organization looking to simplify laptop or software deployment.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Nothing really, the only minor complaint I have would be that setting up PDQ access with group policy to be able to communicate through end-user firewalls can be a bit of a pain, but is expected when using software such as this.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of creating a "golden image" that needs to be modified any time, we simply created a deployment package that includes all the software a laptop needs. that way if something needs to be added or removed its nice and simple

 ### 24. A must have for AD environments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Branton H. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy has helped our small team IT Department deploy various software packages to our medium sized school district. We have used it to organize and schedule package deployments and updates to over 1,000 devices. Love that there are predefined packages ready to deploy out of the box. Much easier to use than GPO software pushes.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I can't think of any cons with this deployment software. Maybe that is has a slight learning curve to figuring out the more advanced features but overall anyone should be able to easily use it to push out software packages.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ deploy has really helped us with project management, not having to take time away from other pressing issues to go manually install programs at remote locations has freed us up to tackle more pressing needs.

 ### 25. Great Piece of Software for any IT Department!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy N. | Computer Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Inventory and Deploy is what we use here and it has worked flawlessly. If I run into any issues, PDQ has helpful documents and videos at the ready to assist.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

There's not much to say here; the only "gripe" I would have is maybe a larger library. That's an unfair dislike as we can create our own installs, but it would make things easier if the database had more widely used applications. Also, the self resolve button for some errors could work a bit better. I do end up researching on how to fix these errors on my own.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the "big brother" tool we decided to use here at our municipal to keep track of all our workstations and update operating systems and multiple applications.

 ### 26. So handy for so many things!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott C. | I.T. Clerk, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I like the ability to check on a PC to see what's installed, what specs and hardware the machine has, and the user logged into the machine. Deploying software is a close second though.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I find sometimes applications don't deploy properly out of the box and getting those working is usually possible but its not super straightforward. Sometimes its faster to go to the users desk and run the installer in those cases. Support has always been helpful.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying any basic app in bulk is incredibly handy, being able to check versions of software, uninstall software, and a users hardware specs remotely is a huge help. I know the software can do more than I use it for too, but I am happy with the features I use.

 ### 27. PDQ has been a fantastic tool for our IT Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayden J. | Information Technology System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I really love the simplicity and usability of PDQ. It has allowed us to automate a lot of tasks, especially with new computer setup, that before took a while and were menial. It is a great tool with a really good KB about getting things done.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The knowledge base for PDQ is really good, but dont' expect to get anyone on the phone to help out with building deployments, etc. Which I understand, they cannot support everyone's personal deployments, but it would be nice to workshop with an expert at times.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ allows us to speed up deployment and manage our software much more effectively. By using PDQ we have streamlined a lot of our processes to help all user computers have the same features and software.

 ### 28. Amazing product for the price point

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | Information Security Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy is an amazingly flexible product that allows my team to easily update software using built-in packages or easily deploy our own software of choice to any system in our environment. I've used other tools, and this one's simple and intuitive GUI makes deployments easy and easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

My only gripe about the product is that some of the more advanced features make it hard to find KB articles, and I've had to search elsewhere to find information. There is also no option to deploy to off-VPN, at-home workers.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ Deploy helps my team deploy software to servers and workstations, allowing us to automate new tool deployments quickly and to support our patch management software with easy deployments of 3rd party software patches.

 ### 29. PDQ Deploy - The easiest way to deploy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike R. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Quick setup of PDQ, integration into AD and that it just works! So many customisation options for deployments, MSI, EXE, Batch script, Powershell, the works!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It's not that I don't like it because I haven't had a need to use it yet but I will soon be moving more stuff to the cloud so Azure AD integration would be fantastic at some point and as far as I'm aware this is not possible... yet!

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's integration into PDQ Inventory gives me fantastic visibility of what I have out there and don't, what versions etc.. PDQ Deploy means I can silently ensure all devices have software that I require without relying on users to restart to get installs via GPO. And even then it's only MSI's!

 ### 30. PDQ Makes Software Deployment Painless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian G. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I love how easy it is to search the directory for machines or machine groups, and to target those machines with new installation packages as well as updates/upgrades/patches, etc.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Honestly, at this point I have not come across anything that I dislike about using the software. We use both PDQ Deploy and Inventory, and they play so nicely together!

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to query the machines attached to our network and to know exactly what is installed on them, and whether they are the most current versions or not. Additionally, we are also able to easily deploy software to any machine on our network. This has made life for our IT team so much better!

 ### 31. I love PDQ !!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lefteris P. | SysAdmin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I use Pdq Deploy & Inventory for about 2 years and another 4 years in my previous company. When i proposed my IT team to use and purchase the product, they didn't realize how many things we could do with this fantastic software. Now we have a lot of automations , we use it with sccm and when we install windows , we use a lot of automations so the pc will go to the right OU in active directory and will install specific programs to the users .It is the best of all. Thank you PDQ team .

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Really??? I love this product :) :) :) :)

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automations and scheduled jobs , heartbeat and a lot of other features

 ### 32. An irreplaceable tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris P. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

As a one-man IT department serving 4500+ teachers, students, and staff, PDQ Deploy and Inventory are two of the most helpful tools in my arsenal. With them, I'm able to ensure that everything stays up to date, quickly roll out application packages to new devices, and guarantee that every user has the same great experience regardless of their location. It saves me countless hours, and is the easiest yearly software renewal to justify.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

So far I have not experienced any issues with PDQ that I can complain about. It's fantastic.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ keeps me from wasting my time going from place to place to complete software deployments. It keeps me in my office instead of running around to all my different schools.

 ### 33. The best purchase I've managed to get my employer to buy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I recommend it to everyone. It doesn't matter if you have 50 computers - or 10,000 - of course, the more, the better. What you have to do, regardless of the size of the implementation, is to prepare a good package and test it. The rest belongs to the PDQ.
Reports? Fairy tale. Do you want to find out which computer is running on battery - because the user turned off the power strip - and you don't know - whether to start with the system update? No problem - a quick scan with your Powershell scanner, and you're ready to go. Or maybe you would like to be sure - have any computers been handed over to an employee without encryption? Would you like to know if you have enough space on the disk array to back up all pst files in the company? You have WMI, Powershell - the ability to create your scanners and a quick preview of computers grouped in collections. Your imagination only limits you. After the implementation, your boss's favorite question is - is it possible to check...
And your answer: yes, of course, we have PDQ...
Delighted?

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Unfortunately, there are also disadvantages. So important that they need to be mentioned here. PDQ won't make coffee or hum your favorite rock song with you. There is something else. PDQ won't learn Powershell, windows administration or registry building for you - so don't treat it as a prescription for all your administrative problems. You are an administrator for solving problems. PDQ will allow you to solve a problem once solved on hundreds, thousands of other workstations. And that's why I love PDQ.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What's the problem?

 ### 34. PDQ is very helpful software for a quick inventory view & software deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We use PDQ Inventory for a lot of odd tasks that we would have had to touch a desktop for in the past. Checking to see if an user is currently logged in, checking installed versions of software, workstation hardware specs, uptime, and an otherwise quick view of a workstation's status. It works in conjunction with PDQ Deploy to automate deployments with a little more visibility than group policy. We used Spiceworks in the past, but I like PDQ inventory + deploy better. Deploying mainstream software, especially Microsoft software, is a breeze.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ deploy doesn't work well for turnkey software or poorly written software. We deploy some industry-specific software that doesn't work well in a non-interactive mode nor does it return correct error codes. PDQ deploy relies on feedback from the software to confirm installation succeeded. I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to get said software to return correct error codes and avoid necessary manual logins and had some success. Luckily PDQ is flexible enough to offer a lot of troubleshooting techniques.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of our deployments are so finicky that we haven't found another piece of software that can handle them. Rollouts that previously required us to remote into every workstation can now be partially or fully automated.

 ### 35. Updated 500 Registers in 100 Stores with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay L. | Manager, Enterprise Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The most helpful component of PDQ Deploy is the ease of use alongside the intuitive UI. There is also flexibility with scripting and how it ties in with PDQ Inventory is astounding.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

As of now, the most challenging part of using PDQ is the lack of conditional reporting I would like to utilize. Any visibility in identifying some trends/analytics would also be beneficial. The tool looks to be evolving in the right direction.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With PDQ Inventory, I can easily see what applications are installed in our environment. Our primary use case with PDQ was deploying a VERY custom piece of software to all of our registers that other deployment tools could not do.

 ### 36. PDQ Deploy is a fantastic tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

There are several things that make PDQ Deploy a great tool for deploying software to multiple computers. One of the things that I like best about it is its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use even for those who are new to deploying software. Additionally, PDQ Deploy has a wide range of features that allow you to customize and automate your deployments, including the ability to schedule deployments, create custom deployment packages, and much more. Overall, PDQ Deploy is a powerful and flexible tool that makes it easy to deploy software to multiple computers with minimal effort.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It is difficult to identify specific shortcomings of PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory, as the usefulness of a tool can vary depending on the specific needs and use cases of each individual user. That being said, one potential limitation of PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory is that they are only available for Windows-based systems, so they may not be suitable for users who need to deploy software to computers running other operating systems. Additionally, like any software tool, PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory may have occasional bugs or issues that need to be addressed by the development team. However, the developers of PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory are generally responsive to user feedback and work to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory are tools that are designed to help IT professionals and system administrators manage and maintain large networks of computers. PDQ Deploy allows users to deploy software to multiple computers quickly and efficiently, which can save a significant amount of time and effort compared to manually installing software on each computer individually. PDQ Inventory, on the other hand, is a tool for inventorying and tracking hardware and software assets on a network, which can help administrators keep track of what is installed on each computer and ensure that all systems are up to date and compliant with company policies. By providing these tools, PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory help IT professionals and system administrators streamline and automate various tasks related to managing and maintaining large networks of computers, which can help them work more efficiently and effectively.

 ### 37. Great Solution for Ensuring Software Stays Up to Date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harlie V. | Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ is fantastic for deploying software efficiently without interrupting users or on a schedule after-hours. The asset groups have made patching software so much easier as well. PDQ keeps specific packages up to date for you as well, such as Edge and Adobe, and has taken so much of the manual work out of the equation for keeping those patched. It's been great at checking whether or not specific software is installed, then deploying it automatically if it's missing. We miss things, it happens. It's like having another co-worker with a way better memory than most of us!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

There's not much to complain about, really. There's a little bit of a learning curve for setting up installs for some more complex software or that without good documentation for silent installs. Still, there's plenty of documentation and community posts out there to look at to help you along.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying software on an on-demand basis for our users has become a lot less interruptive for them. We used to have to kick people out of their computers to install the software they needed by hand, and PDQ has removed a lot of that work for us.

The packages that PDQ keeps up to date manually have made deploying irregular patches much less painful. When you have 15 other things on your plate, it really just helps to not have to worry about those anymore!

 ### 38. An extra staff member!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristopher J. | Information Technology System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

As a small IT department (solo sysadmin here) utilizing PDQ deploy and inventory is an amazing addition to our team! Being able to automate deployments and updates is literally like having another staff member in terms of time savings! From installing software my users request, to automatically pushing out updated versions and knowing it will happen automatically the next time a targeted device is on the network. Targeting deployments to groups of devices, or pushing upgrades to any computer that already has an older version installed. No more spreadsheets and manual inventories, no more hours of running around tracking down devices and manually installing software. It's a true lifesaver!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Not really any major downsides that I can think of when using the pair together to inventory and automate software deployments. I'm just scratching the surface of it's capabilities.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Man-power and man-hours! As a single person responsible for managing about 200 computers and laptops, this combo of inventory and deployment saves me so much time not only in installing and updating software but reviewing devices and inventory, last logged on users, free hard drive space, etc.

 ### 39. Excellent Device Management and Inventory Applications!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I have been using PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory for several years and am extremely satisfied with their performance.

One of the standout features of PDQ Deploy is the ability to deploy packages to a wide array of equipment easily. Whether it's a single computer or a whole network, PDQ Deploy makes it simple to push out updates and new applications with just a few clicks. The user interface is intuitive, and the process is quick and painless.

In addition to deployment, PDQ Inventory is a valuable tool for pulling reports and searching inventory. The wide array of equipment details available to explore and report on is impressive and has proved useful in our organization. We use it to track hardware and software inventory and monitor the status of various systems and devices.

Overall, I highly recommend PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory for anyone needing a reliable and efficient tool for managing and deploying software and tracking equipment details.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

After the recent updates to the icons, I've noticed that I often get confused about which icon is which program. Personally, the new icons should be switched, as the wavy i logo for PDQ Deploy would seem more fitting for PDQ Inventory. The same with PDQ Inventory; the new icon looks more like a "D" which would make more sense for PDQ Deploy. Other than aesthetics, it's unfortunate that it's limited to only Windows devices.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory has greatly benefited our organization.

First and foremost, it has significantly streamlined our software deployment process. With PDQ Deploy, we can push out updates and new applications to all of our computers and devices in a matter of minutes, rather than the hours it used to take us to use manual processes. This has saved us a considerable amount of time and resources and allowed us to stay up-to-date with our software.

Additionally, the ability to pull reports and search inventory using a wide array of equipment details has benefited us. We can easily track the status of our hardware and software, identify potential issues, and make informed decisions about our technology. This has helped us to optimize our systems and improve efficiency across the organization.

PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory have been invaluable tools for us, and we are grateful to have them as part of our technology stack.

 ### 40. Great RMM software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I like that it puts all your endpoints in the same place to manage and compare systems.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I don't like that pricing is per admin instead of endpoint count and that you are not able to get a trial without getting in touch with sales.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT helps with asset management and keeping track of sytems operating systems hardware and other critical system information for endpoints.

 ### 41. PDQ Works for Us

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We can deploy and configure remote machines with a fair amount of ease after we set PDQ Deploy up. We are responsible for sites spread over 16,000+ square miles (over 25,000 Km) in Texas. We also have smaller remote locations all over the mainland US. We initially used the Free version but have changed to the paid version for all of the extra

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We were really hoping for PDQ to help us with Windows Updates, but it doesn't seem able to do that in a meaningful way. We haven't looked too closely at setting up the Windows update part, but it seems to lack completeness and is rather complicated.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used scripts, Group Policy, and manual installation to roll out printers and updates. Many 3rd party applications were only rarely getting updated, if at all.
We are improving our security "scores" by keeping 3rd party apps. We can also push out printer installs without using Group Policy or manually connecting to hosts.

 ### 42. PDQ Deploy is the best employee I have!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We are a small organization, so we don't always have the newest and fanciest things...let alone the staff needed to be efficient. PDQ Deploy has filled an enormous gap, allowing me to lean on this software to manage the majority of patching that I once had to do manually or try and figure out how to do it in SCCM (and that rarely worked).

PDQ Deploy is so easy to use, and I'm sure folks are using a lot more advanced features than I ever will.

Pair it up with PDQ Inventory, and that's where the product really shines!

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I'm not a huge power user of the software, so I'm sure there are some advanced features that others might be interested in, but I have no complaints myself!

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time and money, since many of these tasks would have normally required a lot of human time and interaction to complete - but PDQ Deploy automates everything for me, and I often forget it's even running!

 ### 43. Amazing Time Saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor B. | IT Support Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Such a help when deploying new machines with built-in packages and software packages I've created. I really enjoy using the Inventory side to pull lists of commonalities in our machines and even seeing things like what printers are mapped. Once you've got it all built out how you want it, it's one click to deploy and you just let it roll and do it's thing.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

You better make sure your AD and routing is clean as a whistle because you might run into timeouts or scan error codes that you'll have to track down and fix before it works, although that's more of a reflection on the environment where you deploy it. More packages in the package library would be great to choose from.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One, getting new machines up and running at speed without taking a ton of time to next next next the install files on every little program you might need. It's also good at doing things discretely in the background like pushing a software update without the user's knowledge.

 ### 44. It just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

It takes 5 minutes to set up. It does everything that they advertise it having the ability to do. The learning curve is as steep as you want it be. The out of the box features do 99% of what we need and you can use custom powershell scripts to handle that last 1%

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I really wish they would have built onto WDS themselves to handle PC imaging so that PDQ Inventory and PDQ Deploy could handle our new PC's right after they are unboxed and did not require us to buy another product like Smart Deploy or configure WDS ourselves and wait until the PC's are on the domain before PDQ Inventory sees the device and PDQ Deploy can go from there.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auto patching of 3rd party programs like Google Chrome, 7-zip, and other common programs are all handled by PDQ Deploy which has simplified that workflow tremendously. We also have use PDQ Deploy to deploy all of our common programs onto all end-user PC's. Completing this task manually would take multiple hours. This is a big time save for us

 ### 45. PDQ Deploy is awesome.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeb G. | IT director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ makes endpoint software management and patching a breeze. PDQ s one of the best tools in my arsenal to help automate deployment removal of system settings, and it works well in our environment.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I have nothing negative to say about PDQ. If anything, it would be nice to see more software packages added to PDQ out of the box or at least an option to add additional mainstream software for patching.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ saves me time. Our IT staff is outnumbered 100 to 1 for users. We use PDQ to stage new endpoint deployments, check and deploy patches/software, and update system configurations. With templates, it has been fire and forget for us.

 ### 46. PDQ Deploy - Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We are able to deploy software to hundreds of users in 3 different countries. We have saved so much time and effort with PDQ. Everyone in our department raves on the ease of use and how easy it is to create packages. We've been using PDQ deploy for over 3 years at my current business and I used it for years at my previous business.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The only dislike is that we are unable to deploy outside of our network. There is no gateway or relay to deploy through the DMZ.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to deploy software remotely without interrupting the user and it is a time saver for my staff.

 ### 47. Easiest systems management/inventory software I've ever used.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

I had the misfortune of being forced to work on SCCM & Dell KACE for several years. PDQ isn't too simple for our needs (ex Ninite Pro) but still offers enough flexibility to add our own packages, handle major windows updates, etc.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We had an issue with Office 365 deployments but it turned out to be a corrupt download from Microsoft. Also it randomly stopped being able to update the server it was on, but that was resolved by support.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves us from having to check/update software manually, makes sure everyone is on the current MS update and cuts down on unpleasant surprises.

 ### 48. Environment-wide deployment and management at the push of a button

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald C. | Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

PDQ Deploy has made company/environment-wide rollouts almost too easy. Any time we are faced with pushing a software update or rolling out something new, we can do it in a few short steps, with PDQ Deploy.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The only thing I can think of that would be a pain point, albeit a small one, is the time which it takes the software to acknowledge or update an IP address that has changed. It does require a DNS flush (sometimes, more than one).

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fostering easy/effortless software rollouts and/or updates across our entire environment. Previous to our adoption of PDQ Deploy, the same task could prove to be rather cumbersome.

 ### 49. Great Product and Powerful Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan N. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Easy to use and very powerful. It simply works to deploy windows software as it needs to. We've used many different toolset (even from MS) and they are not completed or hard to use. Integrates with AD seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

Nothing stands out however system administrator still need to deal with remote users who don't check in or check in often enough to get the new packages. You'll have to schedule time with these infrequent corporate login users.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy software deployment that reaches the masses and ensure it gets done. most tools are missing key features that PDQ solves and it works every time. No bugs in this software.

 ### 50. Fantastic Product !

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristan C. | Support Systems Analyst, Sr, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

We were looking for an endpoint management solution for our environment and PDQ Deploy checked all the boxes !

I'm a big fan of it being an agentless solution as well as its capability to authenticate with LAPS (as opposed to domain admin account). The Support folks over at PDQ are very knowledgeable and have a quick response time.

**What do you dislike about PDQ Deploy & Inventory?**

The only downside for PDQ are its limitations when we have users working from home. When the endpoint is no longer on the domain network PDQ is unable to reach it. However there is a new product PDQ Connect coming up soon that will support this feature.

**What problems is PDQ Deploy & Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDQ is helping us with patching as well as deploying new software to our endpoints, it is practical to have PDQ deploy packages to all machines simultaneously as opposed to having to do it one by one manually.
