"Simple and easy to use"
5/5
What do you like best about PDFgear?

It is a simple and easy-to-use app. It more than fulfills what is needed and does exactly what it promises, without complications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFgear?

The interface is too minimalist, which could be a positive thing, but if you are not familiar with this style, it ends up making its use difficult. In my case, the learning curve feels quite steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Free Adobe Pro Alternative with Plenty of Features"
4/5
What do you like best about PDFgear?

It’s a free alternative to Adobe Pro. It has many of the same features as Adobe Pro, which is really helpful. I also like that I can either install the software or use an online version as well, depending on what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFgear?

It doesn’t have the ability to fix accessibility issues in PDFs, so I can’t edit those accessibility problems directly within the document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accessible and Free, Perfect for Solo Practitioners"
5/5
What do you like best about PDFgear?

I like PDFgear's ease of use. It's also completely free, which is a wonderful bonus and a major accessibility feature. Because it's offered for free, it's accessible to many users who might not otherwise be able to experience the versatility and flexibility of PDFs. The initial setup of PDFgear was extremely easy; I just had to download and run it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFgear?

On occasion, there are times where boxes or other objects which are unwanted will appear and cannot be deleted. In addition, once in a blue moon, the program crashes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Free PDF Tool, But Lacks Easy Signature Features"
2.5/5
What do you like best about PDFgear?

It's free. Among the "free" PDF apps this is probably the best, because it's lightweight, you don't need to worry about ads, and it has a lot of common features people want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFgear?

I've been told that you can edit and add signatures to PDF documents using PDFgear, but I was never able to find a way to do it.

If it was possible and EASY to add signatures to PDF documents using this app it could replace a lot of paid licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro.

All the people used to Acrobat in a professional environment simply could not figure out how to do their work functions using this app, and I was unable to figure it out either to help them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
