## PDF.co Reviews
 ### 1. Powerful PDF Parsing, OCR, and No-Code Automation with Easy Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I love this platform for its capability to get critical information from PDF documents with is PDF parsing feature which enables user to extract invoice details, shipping address etc. The features such as PDF inspector enables user to organize and create PDF files in a more customized way. I also love this platform for its capability to create PDF from HTML templates. I love security and reliability of this platform as we can securely and indefinitely store the PDF files for repetitive use. The platform can also integrate with other meaningful 3rd party tools like Zapier, Make etc which makes this platform more powerful. I feel that the platform is user friendly and the onboarding was also really easy. The output of this platform is also good and satisfactory. The no code feature is one thing that is really good about this platform. The ability to detect important text with its OCR technology is notable in this platform. The pricing of this platform is also moderate considering its capabilities.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I love most part of this platform but I wish that the processing speed was faster. I also wish that the number of format generation supported by this platform was more. Since the pricing is made in credits purchase, there is also chances for the pricing to go beyond the budget for an user who use this platform a lot. I also wish that there was an AI that was there as a chat that could summarize and answer our question that is contained in the uploaded PDF file.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform assist a lot in better handling of pdf files and editing pdf files with more customization. Other than this conversion of HTML template to pdf files is made really easy with this platform. The platform saves a lot of time with its secure storage that allows us to reuse the files stored there. This platform have made work more efficient and productive.

 ### 2. Non-technical user's dream: Easy N8N integration that just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

What I love most is that it works with N8N right out of the box. I'm not a programmer, and I tried four or five other PDF services before this one.
Every single one of them was confusing, and I couldn't get any of them to work, no matter how hard I tried.
With PDF.co, I was able to set it up in N8N and start making PDF reports for my clients without pulling my hair out.
It's simple to use and does exactly what it claims to do.
Yes, I have to pay for it, but it's worth every penny because I can actually deliver the reports my clients need.
Sometimes you get what you pay for, and this is one of those times where paying for a good service beats struggling with free options that don't work.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The variety of different endpoints can be confusing for new users. I had to conduct some research to determine which endpoint I needed to use to convert HTML reports into PDFs, but once I figured that out, it was straightforward. In reality, I don't have much to dislike about PDF.co.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co solved my biggest headache - I needed to automatically create PDF reports for my clients using N8N, but I'm not a coder. I wasted so much time trying to get other PDF services to work with my workflow, and none of them did what they promised. I tried four or five different options and couldn't get any of them set up properly.
PDF.co fixed this problem completely. Now I can generate professional PDF reports automatically through N8N without any technical hassles. This means I can deliver reports to my clients quickly and reliably, which makes them happy and makes my business look professional.

 ### 3. Finding a simple to use PDF generation solution.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George W. | Website Marketing Manager | Business Application Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I'm working on automations for business operations and needed to be able to take raw HTML and convert it to PDF files. I tried to use a few other solutions but PDF.co made the process and setup of this so simple, I had to sign up. Easy to integrate, easy to implement and I will be using this quite often.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I don't have anything to dislike about the product. I needed a simple solution and PDF.co did the trick.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed something that was simple to implement for a PDF generation step in an automated workflow. The workflow generates HTML reports and I needed something to transform the HTML to PDFs. Integrating and implementing PDF.co was a simple process. It has a dedicated node in n8n so the setup process for an API key was simple and easy. In 5 minutes, I had a PDF generating bot setup without any hiccups.

 ### 4. No‑Code PDF Automation Made Effortless on make.com

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markus H. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

The seamless, no‑code integration with make.com lets me chain OCR, PDF‑to‑Plain‑Text, Split and Merge PDF actions in minutes. OCR accuracy is outstanding, extracted text is clean, and processing is consistently fast. Splitting large documents and merging sections back together is intuitive, and the visual scenario builder makes troubleshooting a breeze. Overall, it’s a rock‑solid, developer‑friendly suite that saves me hours of manual work every week.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Occasionally, very large or highly complex PDFs can introduce slight delays, and I’d love to see more built‑in templates for common workflows. A few more advanced merge‑setting options in the UI would be helpful, but these are minor compared to the overall reliability and performance.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co eliminates tedious manual PDF tasks—automating OCR, text extraction, splitting and merging entirely through make.com. This removes the bottleneck of hand‑copying data, drastically reduces processing errors, and speeds up document workflows. As a result, we handle large volumes of files in minutes instead of hours, freeing our team to focus on strategic work while maintaining consistently high data quality.

 ### 5. I was impressed by the reliability and speed of the service.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeanphilippe B. | Technicien, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

PDF.co has established itself as an essential tool for the automation and advanced management of PDF documents. Its API, very comprehensive and well-documented, allows for analyzing, creating, editing, and extracting data from PDF files with great flexibility. Integration with platforms like Make.com or N8N is simple and reliable, which facilitates the implementation of automated workflows, even complex ones. The tool particularly excels in managing poorly scanned or unstructured documents, thanks to powerful and multilingual OCR functions, which transform PDFs into fully searchable documents ready for data extraction.

Among the strengths:

Large library of features (editing, annotation, creation, extraction, compression, OCR, etc.).

Easy-to-integrate REST API, compatible with numerous cloud services and automation tools.

Clear documentation and online simulation tools available to test features before deployment.

Cross-platform support: Windows, macOS, Linux.

Reliable automation of repetitive tasks, reduction of human errors, and considerable time savings.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Some areas for improvement:

Pricing can seem high, especially for intensive use or small volumes of included credits. Fine management of endpoints is sometimes necessary to optimize costs.

The variety of endpoints can confuse new users. More examples or tutorials in French would be appreciated.

For some endpoints, slightly higher latency can be observed, but this remains negligible in production.

In summary, PDF.co is a robust, reliable, and very comprehensive solution for any company or team looking to automate the management and extraction of PDF data. Its API has become the backbone of many document processes, and its efficiency saves valuable time while minimizing errors. Highly recommended for advanced PDF processing needs.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only small drawback concerns the pricing, which can quickly rise if you have large volumes, but the quality of the service justifies the investment.

 ### 6. A reliable one-stop solution for all things PDF

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yan A. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I am truly impressed by the extensive functionality and flexibility of the API. It is very well documented, too. Also, their website offers some tools to simulate and experiment with some of their features before implementing them. It is very easy to use and the integration with other platforms such as make.com is flawless.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I find it to be a bit on the expensive side. In some workflows I try to use the more credit hungry endpoints or configurations only if absolutely necessary. I would burn through my credits fairly quickly if I hadn't implemented some extra cost saving logic. I wish they would up the included credits so I could keep things simpler. For some endpoints I noticed a higher latency but that honestly doesn't bother me in production.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co offers an extensive library of functions for parsing, creating, editing and analysing PDF files. I am building complex AI-powered workflow automations for document management, invoice routing, accounting etc. (for small businesses) and so far I have yet to encounter a pdf-related functionality that isn't covered by one of their api endpoints. It has become the backbone of most of my automations. Its OCR tools are really powerful and I use them a lot even though I could use free APIs. It is simply more convenient to be able to use it in conjunction with the other PDF.co tools.

 ### 7. Efficient, reliable and scalable automation with PDF.co

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paulo M. | CEO and Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I have a free online course platform with 4 million students, and our business model is based on students' interest in generating a certificate upon completing the course, which has a cost for them.

Our certificate generation process was manual, expensive, as it required two people to do it, and presented several problems and delays of several days until the student could access the certificate.

I then decided to automate this process and, to do so, I looked for an API that was easy to integrate and that would generate and present the PDF certificate to the student quickly and assertively.

I confess that I tested other APIs! But none of them surpassed PDF.co. During the free trial period, I was able to implement everything I needed; it was fantastic, easy and fast!

Today, when the system identifies the student's payment, the certificate is generated automatically and immediately presented to the student, with the help of PDF.co.

This has represented a huge step forward for us, the frequency of use is high, it has drastically reduced the number of complaints, increased conversion, since the certificate is obtained immediately, reduced our operational costs, eliminated errors and delays and allowed us to think about new updates.

I often recommend PDF.co to friends from other companies.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

To be honest, there is only one thing that is not clear to me: whether it is possible to subscribe to a monthly plan and, at the same time, purchase individual credits that would be used to keep the service running.

- Imagine that I subscribe to a plan with 16,500 credits/month and these credits run out before 30 days. I don't know if the individual credits would take effect, you know?

Another detail about this would be to understand whether the individual credits or the plan credits are used first.

Support can certainly help me with this.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. High operational costs
Previously, two people were needed to generate certificates manually.
The process was expensive and not scalable.
PDF.co eliminated this need, drastically reducing costs.

2. Low scalability
With 4 million students, the manual model could not support the volume.
Automation with PDF.co allowed the operation to be scaled without increasing staff.

3. Delays in the delivery of certificates
Students would wait days to receive their certificates, causing frustration.
Now, with PDF.co, delivery is immediate after payment, improving the experience.

4. High number of complaints
Delays and failures in the manual process generated many complaints from students.
Automation has almost eliminated complaints, improving the reputation of the platform.

5. Human errors in the generation of certificates
The manual process was subject to typing errors or formatting errors.
PDF.co has eliminated these errors, ensuring accuracy in issuance.

6. Low conversion rate
The waiting time discouraged some students from paying for the certificate.
Immediate delivery increased conversion, making the value more tangible.

7. Slow to implement improvements
The team was overloaded with repetitive operational tasks.
With automation via PDF.co, the team gained time and focus to evolve the product.

 ### 8. Tried many, simply the BEST software for AI PDF reading and document parsing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** var r. | Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

VERY easy to integrate and VERY consistent!
I use PDF.CO within my Make scenario builder, we can over 400 invoices a month and extract several fields which is then captured on a google sheet for our database later and reporting. I have tried several tools, but only PDF.CO works so consistently, haven't had an error once. The mapping of output from PDF.CO module (which is the API call) works flawlessly.
Even when it wasn't explicitly stated, it reads a 3 page report we get several ones a day and has the data ready for the next part in my Make scenario.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I think it's a little expensive! We fly through the 25 USD credits per month. I wish it was 50% cheaper.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's scanning 3 page reports, we receive several a day, and extracting the fields we need for them. These fields are used to create reports and also rename the files.

 ### 9. Reliable, HIPAA‑Ready PDF Automation That Integrates Seamlessly With Our Stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Yohai S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

As a healthcare provider handling protected health information, our first filter is always HIPAA compliance. PDF.co offers a clear Business Associate Agreement, strong encryption at rest and in transit, and granular access controls—making our security team comfortable from day one.
On the technical side, the REST API is clean, well‑documented, and consistent across endpoints. We integrated PDF generation, data extraction, and form‑filling into our Make.com workflows and custom Node.js services in under a week. Webhook callbacks are fast and reliable, which keeps our automations real‑time. In short, the platform “just works,” reducing engineering overhead and letting my team focus on patient‑facing features instead of PDF plumbing.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The dashboard UI feels utilitarian; it shows the essentials but lacks the polish of newer SaaS products. Usage analytics could also be richer (e.g., per‑endpoint breakdowns). Neither issue affects day‑to‑day operations, but additional insight would help with capacity planning.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Use Cases We Solve
HIPAA‑compliant document generation – lab orders, consent forms, and after‑visit summaries.

Automated data extraction – pulling structured fields from external medical reports for our EMR.

Secure e‑signature workflows – embedding signed PDFs back into our patient records without manual touchpoints.

Business Impact
Saved ~25 developer hours/month formerly spent maintaining in‑house PDF scripts.

Reduced document‑related support tickets by 40 % because outputs are consistent and error‑free.

Accelerated client onboarding—new enterprise customers see a working, compliant document flow during pilot week.

 ### 10. I wish I had known about this software earlier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Senior market analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

pdf.co is a very easy to use, practical and fast tool. It facilitates the automation of processes that would otherwise be very tedious. It will allow me to increase productivity and there is very little margin for error, so I find it particularly reliable. After a slight learning curve, I have been able to quickly process over 400 revised documents. I love how easy it is to generate templates for different types of suppliers. I use it in workflows with Make.com and find it an almost perfect match!

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

One pdf file apparently had a hidden special character, the Spanish ñ, but in the original document it looked like an n (without the ñ).

Apparently pdf.co transcribed the special character in a hidden way and I had a hard time seeing where the error was in the workflow between the pdf.co module and the Make data store.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of repetitive tasks eliminating a very high percentage of error probability.

 ### 11. Unmatched Speed and Precision in PDF Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan Komarofsky m. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

PDF.co delivers lightning-fast conversions and extractions, even on massive batches, with OCR that deciphers the blurriest scans as if they were crystal-clear. The API is as straightforward as a pilot’s pre-flight checklist—clear, reliable, and quick to integrate. Its clean, intuitive interface means I get complex tasks done in three clicks or less, and support responds almost before I’ve finished my coffee.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Advanced AI-driven automation features—such as predictive tagging and workflow suggestions—are still in early access and occasionally need manual tweaks. Processing exceptionally large jobs can introduce minor delays, but splitting them into smaller segments is a simple workaround.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co streamlines our document workflows by automating batch conversions, data extraction and OCR, eliminating manual processing bottlenecks. As a result, we’ve reduced report-preparation time by over 70%, minimized human error in data entry, and freed our team to focus on higher-value tasks like analysis and customer support. The reliable API integration means our self-storage operations and e-commerce import processes run seamlessly 24/7, boosting productivity and accelerating decision-making across the business.

 ### 12. Solved our toughest PDF challenges quickly and efficiently.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luciano O. | CEO/CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

What we liked most about PDF.co is its ability to automatically turn poorly scanned or unstructured PDFs into fully searchable documents ready for data extraction — including OCR in Portuguese. The API integration is simple, reliable, and fast, which allowed us to fully automate our document processing workflows without compromising quality. The documentation is clear, and the responses are consistent, even in more complex automation flows like N8N.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The only initial challenge was understanding the variety of available endpoints and which one best fit each use case — especially for newcomers to automation. It would also be great to see more examples or tutorials in languages other than English. Other than that, the experience has been excellent, and the service truly delivers what it promises.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team was facing a critical pain point in automated processes involving poorly structured PDF documents — especially scanned files without OCR, misaligned pages, or inconsistent layouts. These documents would break our automation flows in N8N and made it impossible to extract structured accounting, legal, or technical data.

We tested several approaches, including local OCR tools and conventional extraction services, but the results were always inconsistent. That’s when we decided to try the PDF.co API — and the impact was immediate.

 ### 13. Nothing beats dedication.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre-Olivier C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I've tried to use many platforms including AI once, but I always come back to pdf.co just because pdf is a thing.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Picking the right endpoint in the API was not always easy, but it's also because I was not sure how I wanted to structure my automation.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run a document management platform, and manipulating tons of documents in PDF or image format is key. One node we use PDF.co for is to take a screenshot of half of the first page and display it—so users can pick the right PDF faster—and that little thing is just awesome.

 ### 14. PDF extraction was amazingly simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick A. | Director\Lead Recruiter- Tech-Hub.com.au, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I had been thinking about this automation for a while but wasnt sure if PDF extraction would work that well. I was positively surprised, how easy it was. I used PDF.co with Make.com to automate timesheet processing, and it has worked really well. My setup pulls timesheets from emails, extracts the relevant info using PDF.co, and sends it to Xero for invoicing. The data extraction is accurate, and it was surprisingly easy to set up.

What I like most is how smoothly it integrates with Make.com—it just works without needing complicated configurations. This has saved me a ton of time compared to manually entering data. If you need a reliable way to extract data from PDFs, I’d definitely recommend PDF.co.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

With the free version, it did let me test with uploaded document but it would not let me connect via Make.com. It did allow testing with uploaded docs.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data extraction with customised template

 ### 15. The best API for pdf handling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guilherme B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I've tried a few APIs to handle PDFs before, and PDF.co is the best one. I'm developing an N8N workflow to process many unstructured PDFs, and the document parser from PDF.co is by far the most effective.

I highly recommend this software.
The API functions are straightforward, and N8N already includes PDF.co nodes, making it really easy to integrate into your workflow.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

It does have a cost. You can find cheaper options on the market, but I've tested some of them and PDF.co is still worth the investment.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm handlign many unstructured pdfs and parsing them to an aLLM model to find relevant information to me.

 ### 16. Simplified a task and increased productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I absolutely love the PDF Parser tool from PDF.co — it's been a game-changer for my workflow. What used to take hours of manually copying and pasting data from PDFs now takes just minutes. The parser is incredibly accurate, even with complex or inconsistent layouts, and it’s simplified a process that was previously tedious and time-consuming.

The API is also very straightforward to use and set up. We integrated it with our CRM to automatically parse incoming documents and map the extracted data back into the relevant fields. It’s seamless and very efficient, saving us both time and effort.

Not only has it increased productivity, but the pricing is also very reasonable for the value it provides. PDF.co has become an essential tool in our operations — reliable, fast, and cost-effective. Highly recommended for any team needing accurate PDF data extraction.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

There is nothing to dislike about this tool

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co is solving one of the most time-consuming and error-prone problems in our workflow: extracting structured data from unstructured PDF documents. Previously, we had to manually open PDFs, copy and paste relevant data, and then reformat or enter it into our CRM system — a process that was not only inefficient but also prone to human error.

With PDF.co’s PDF Parser and API, we can now automate this entire process. The tool accurately extracts the data we need and, through a simple integration with our CRM, maps that data directly into the correct fields. This has dramatically reduced manual labor, minimized mistakes, and significantly increased our team's productivity.

The result is faster processing times, better data accuracy, and more time to focus on higher-value tasks. It's a clear win across the board — operationally and financially.

 ### 17. Easy API Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

It was super-easy to integrate PDF.co with Loveable on a project where people upload PDFs. The other methods I was using to extract data from the the PDFs weren't working, but as soon as I plugged in the PDF.co API, it worked.

In the past day, I've processed 50+ PDF docs without a problem.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I think it is a little expensive compared to the cost of most APIs, but it fulfills a function I can't get anywhere else.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to process PDFs in bulk from users and extract the information for AI processing.

 ### 18. Efficient and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iliyan D. | Co-Foudner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I’ve been using the PDF.co API, mainly for converting PDFs to images, and I’ve been very satisfied with its performance. The API documentation is clear and easy to follow, which made integration into my workflow straightforward—even for someone who isn’t a hardcore developer.

The PDF to Image converter works exactly as promised. I’ve converted a variety of PDF documents, from simple single pages to larger, multi-page files. The resulting images are high quality, and the process is fast—even when batch processing multiple files. The API consistently returns accurate results, maintaining the original formatting and clarity of the PDFs in the output images.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The API rate limits are fair, but if you have a high-volume use case, you might need to plan your workflow or upgrade your subscription

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We convert PDF file pages to images

 ### 19. Remarkable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel L. | Coach en Programación Neurolingüística (Nuevo Código), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

What I like most about pdf.co is that you can add documents of different formats and convert them to pdf format and merge them In a single file. It's super smart and easy

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I have not been able to find integrations for Microsoft to do the same with files scattered in different folders or tables.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big problem it solves for me is to generate complex files in a single quick and easy step. Its interface is intuitive and I don't need to convert documents or use other programs to generate a complete document in record time. This benefits me because it speeds up my work and saves a lot of time on tedious and secretarial tasks.

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

It simply the best choices after comparing with the similar products out there in the market. By comparing the features and prices, it gives the most value out of all.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

At first it seems to be overvalued comparing to other similar products cause the it seems to use high credits. But, after calculation, it turns out to be the most value for money.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it in our automation process to turn images and documents into PDF and merge them into a single PDF. So, our team could easily use and review the documents.

 ### 21. Everything you could wish for in a PDF API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg C. | Sr Enterprise Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

Their UI and documentation were extremely easy to navigate. Pricing is very straight forward. It's integrated with Zapier and Make but I ended up using the direct API which was just as easy.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The credits can be a bit deceiving but I understand why. For example, I had one doc I needed to convert to a PDF and the credits were 9 but it was only 1 page. Then I had one that was signficantly bigger and the credits for that one job were over 300. Then every endpoint you use has it's own credit amount. They do have a calculator but you really don't know till you test and finalize it.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 10,000 URLs that each contain a PDF or webpage or document but we did not want to have to manually go to each and download so we used the API to extract whats on the URL, convert to a PDF, store it temporairly and push us the temp file URL so we can push into a google sheet and we wrote a script to download directly to a folder. This has and will save us hours upon hours for a relatively low cost. We will likely have to do around 25,000 to 50,000 of these and should only cost us a couple hundred dollars.

 ### 22. Easy PDF Parsing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

A lot of these APIs have confusing web consoles with 20 different tabs to click through. PDF.co is super simple, literally just an API key and the endpoint you want to use. It took me ten mins to set up and implement.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

As of now I have no complaints. I wish it were a little cheaper, but I don't dislike anything about the product itself.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am parsing Statements of Work (SOWs). I've written an app that lets users in my company upload an SOW and get back some text, which they can then connect to our sales tools. I think this app will help us convert more sales, and it's because of PDF.co.

 ### 23. Flawless integration with automation tools for document processing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah B. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

PDF.co has been a game changer in processing invoices and price notices from our vendors. Using PDF.co's PDF parser is saving us 15+ hours monthly in processing these documents.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Overall, it's a great tool, but their is a significant learning curve. Getting to know the PDF parser tool has been quite a journey. The built-in tool that "auto detects" potential fields in a PDF hasn't worked at all for us. We've had to go through each document type to identify the fields that we want to parse. This required spending a lot of time reading through the documentation to figure out how to write the formulas needed to identify and extract the correct information from each field. It's "low-code" but there's still a lot to learn to make the most of the PDF parser tool.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF.co is a critical tool in our invoice processing process.

 ### 24. One Of The Best PDF to TXT API'S Out There

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kai j. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

PDF.co provides in my opinion one of the most reliable and efficient solutions for converting PDFs to TXT. The API is easy to use, well-documented, and supports various customization options, making it ideal for both developers and businesses. Its accuracy in text extraction (especially from text-simple) is a major plus for us.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Processing very large PDFs can sometimes take a bit longer, depending on the document's complexity.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helping us extract text from PDFs using the text-simple API. This feature simplifies the process of converting our users pdf into text which can then be used for analysis and summary.

This benefits us by eliminating manual data extraction, improving efficiency, and allowing us to automate workflows. The API's ease of integration ensures that we can extract text from multiple PDFs at scale, saving both time and effort.

 ### 25. Excellent product for parsing PDFs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek S. | Integration Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

There is so much flexibility in the various API tools that this product has, there are virtually no use cases we can't support. Their support team is incredibly responsive and helpful for any issues I've had. This product has enabled us to offer really powerful integrations for our customers and has saved our customers 100s of manual hours.

We use it every day and it has been very easy to use the API calls.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

At first it was tricky to figure out how to build the document parsing templates. The support team was absolutely incredible and very helpful in getting me off and running though.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm enabling PDF Upload integrations for customers processing invoices and orders. I use the split2 and document parsing API endpoints to facilitate this integration.

 ### 26. Saved me 5+ hours per project.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex P. | Managing Director & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

It's super easy to use. I was able to quickly set up automation workflows without difficulty. It's part of my daily operations now. All it took was a few clicks to set up the API to my workflows, and I was already live. 5+ hours of my life per project back!

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

As with any API usage services, I have to keep close eyes on API pricing monitoring.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to make my own script or manually extract information from PDFs.

 ### 27. PDF.co has been a great tool for document management for our services business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoffrey R. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

The most helpful thing about PDF.co is that the API has a robust set of functions that I can tap into, as I need to do a variety of manipulations of documents for processing. My goal has been to have PDF.co handle all document processing (to / from PDF, etc.) and so far it has hit the mark.

The other great value of PDF.co is the integration into Make.com as that is the backbone of our technology. It is easy to use and setup in Make.com.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The credits / pricing can be a bit opaque, and sometimes I am surprised by how many credits are required for certain tasks. I have found, though, that there are different ways to set up the PDF.co API functions, and I have usually been able to find more credit-efficient ways to do document processing when needed.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving me a one stop shop for processing a variety of different documents and get them into a standard PDF format. That then allows me to set up my automations and AI processing of documetns in a standard way.

 ### 28. Feature rich and intuitive API

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olaf G. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

After deprecating libpdf in favour of a 3rd party service, PDF.co was the only service we found that offered us a feature rich API that was easy to integrate and allowed us to use templates with named input fields. It was easy to implement through their REST API.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

We wish that subscriptions had overages or some other feature that allows us to automatically replenish credits if they run out.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filling a PDF with pre-defined fields based on input from our system. We found that PDF.co was the only service that offered this with an easy integration.

 ### 29. Easy and makes our assessments accessible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan B. | Executive Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

It's very simple to set up without any technical skills. I appreciate that. I just want ease in setting up our assessment to go out to clients.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

So far, I haven't seen any! Maybe there are some, but not for our purposes.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to send - with Zapier integration - the results of our assessments

 ### 30. Awesome versatile tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jörn W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

Its awesome! If you need to do things with your pdfs pdf.co is super versatile. i love that it is easily integrated with n8n also.
just great tool in general. Easy to use, simple api with great docu also.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Nothing really. Its a great tool. Could be a bit more credits for the price but thats really it.
The splitting function would be even better if you could just define a chunk size and the document is cut it chunks of that size.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

splitting large pdf, getting info about a file and that all in automated workflows with n8n.

 ### 31. Perfect pdf tool for automating workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff T. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I am able to connect Zapier to PDF.co to be able to automate many workflows that need different types of PDFs. Some we need to password protect and others we need to make different types of information/documents into pdfs, and we can do it all through the API!

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I can't really think of any downsides, we use it for many workflows creating/editing pdfs through the api.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to make changes to PDFs, such as adding passwords to PDFs and also making HTML files into PDFs. We need to automate the process and we can do it directly with the API and also we do it in zapier.

 ### 32. PDF.co is a good PDF solution to connect with Google apps and Make.com

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sooho C. | Platform manager, Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I used PDF.co for automating my work data. Usually my data came from Gmail and had to organized into Google sheet or calendar. I integrated all these process using Make.com. But sometimes PDF is included in the emails and even some of them are encripted. In this case, PDF.co was a very efficient and versatile solution. Its simple interface make it easier to find functions and how to apply it and it provides more options to connect with other solutions like Google sheet or Make.com. I had tried few more PDF solutions, usually they worked well but has complex and unnecessary steps or were lack of functions. PDF.co was worked more simply but has more functions in general.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

PDF.co has many features and functions, but assistance for set up step by step was insufficient. Its interface was too simple sometimes, so options for adjusting details of data management was also insufficient. But in most case of my work, it was enough and worked well.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To automize my work, I have integrated Gmail, Google Sheets, Calendar, and few autimation solution such as Make.com or Pabbly. In this process, handling PDF documents is essential because many of email input include PDF attachment. PDF.co fits for my purpose as it was simple to apply, was connected successfully with other solutions. Also its credit based pricing was quite reasonable as it provide cheap prices for many basic actions and higer prices for more extended actions so that users can pick up their own steps.

 ### 33. Very clean and easy to use process so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

The platform felt well tailored, the UI and UX was easy to implement. Don't have any complaints.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

It's a small thing, but it wasn't clear from the UI if credits roll over or not. I'm still not sure.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to parse PDFs easily.

 ### 34. Simplicity for API PDF manipulation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron L. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I love that I can make a custom API node in Gumloop to take advantage of the power of PDF.co. It's super simple to do even for someone non-technical like myself.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

I don't necessarily like that the API doesn't have the functionality built out the exact way I am planning to use it. it makes the process a little more confusing for someone non-technical like myself to build out but I guess that is to be expected.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to automate a formerly manual workflow that required a person to go into a PDF document and paste in a block of text. now I can do that automatically.

 ### 35. Standards and automation make our work easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian D. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I like the intuitive and clear user interface. It's easy to see what options you have for using pdf.co. The service is easy to integrate with other services so that complete work processes can be set up. pdf.co offers a wide range of options for working with the standard PDF format. This gives me the opportunity to automate processes and relieve my employees.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

One small point of criticism is that pdf.co is not available in languages other than English.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I send a data stream and an empty PDF form to pdf.co. The service then fills form fields in the PDF file with data from the data stream. Finally, I receive the completed PDF form as a file.
My employees no longer have to fill in the form manually. This saves working time and avoids errors when transferring data to the PDF form.
I am still a beginner with pdf.co and this was my first project, which I was able to implement in a short time.

 ### 36. Very easy to use API that met all of my needs

PDF.co is helping me to generate PDFs using Make.com, which speeds up my workflow and avoids having to do manual processes.

 ### 37. Reliable PDF automation with great flexibility

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2025

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

PDF.co makes it easy to automate document workflows without needing to build everything from scratch. The API is well-documented, and it integrates smoothly with tools like Zapier and Airtable. It’s been especially helpful for converting HTML to PDF and parsing documents. It saves our team hours every week, and customer support has been responsive when we’ve had questions.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Some of the more advanced features require extra testing and workarounds to get right, especially when dealing with larger files or batch operations. The pricing can add up quickly depending on usage, so clear budgeting is important. A more intuitive UI for testing and templates would also be helpful.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

transforming airtable data to PDFs

 ### 38. A bit fiddley to start, but great support and even better cost savings.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I currently pay £300 a month towards a document scanning service integrated into Zendesk. After a few hours trying playing around I've now got a solution that now does the same (and more) for £10 a month - reduced costing by 99.94%.. The output from PDF.co is amazing, their structured OCR output is similar to how the document was structured on the page.

Fantastic service, great support, the only one that I didn't lose the will to live whilst trying to set it up.

Thanks PDF.co!

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The documentation helped figure out the key points when creating a scenario in make.com, but it was specific enough and I had to use support. All got resolved in the end.

The amount of time it takes to return the OCR, that may be me being impatient though hah.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OCR output of documents in a cost effective manner.

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

I have found out about PDF.co through make.com.

Since I did (last week) PDF.co has helped me save aprox. 5 work days. That is insane. And that's only so far. It will help me much much more in the coming days.

It is easy to set up and connect to make.com or anything else through API. I use it every day. I didn't yet use their customer support, but their website is pretty helpful in offering information or FAQs.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

The credits are a little hard to figure out, how much you need, but they even offer a calculator to help you do that, so, nothing much to dislike.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcribing candidate CVs into text for analysis.

 ### 49. Amazing Tool! Lovin' It while using it via Make.com automation

**Reviewed by:** Doug M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about PDF.co?**

Simple to use and being able to monitor the API usage as it's running long processes is Great! Because of this I've been able to catch errors on the Make.com side of things.

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Only 1 little glitch in running massive amounts of scenarios and it was a server overload. They simply had a high-usage period and I got an error in Make. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to identify the actual error until I reached out to support at PDFco and it was responded to in a very timely fashion.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing invoice data and filling out new forms. We extract data from invoices, use OpenAI to analyze the data and then fill out a new form. Then we alternate the original invoice with the new document and get a fresh interlaced output of documents.

 ### 50. Very neat product with potential for improvement

**What do you dislike about PDF.co?**

Unfortunately, not all document information is being read. It would be nice to be able to train the AI Invoice Parser oneself.

**What problems is PDF.co solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invoices must be read correctly in order to be fully enriched and transferred to the tax advisor.
